A fabulous wardrobe
Advantages: Casting, acting, writing, story, special effects
Disadvantages: not for ssensetive children
...Synopsis
As the story begins, Mrs. Pevensie in order to keep her children safe during World War II sends Lucy, Edmond , Susan , and Peter off to stay at a professor's country estate. Away from London and under the care of a strict housekeeper, they are instructed to stick to themselves and stay out of trouble. But when an innocent game of hide-and-seek leads young Lucy to a spare room containing a large wardrobe, she discovers something that will change their lives forever. Inside the wardrobe there is a world frosted with ice and filled with magical beings. Known as Narnia, the land is stuck in eternal winter at the hands of the cruel White Witch. . When she steps back into reality, Lucy struggles to convince her sceptical siblings of the things she's seen. After much disbelief, the others finally enter the world as well, learning that...

What's in your Wardrobe..???
Advantages: All round family entertainment at its best with a fine story
Disadvantages: maybe a little long for some
...My daughter borrowed a DVD form one of her friends from school over the half term holidays and whinged until we all sat and watched it.
When I saw the title and read the ?blurb? I suddenly remembered that I had read something very similar, only it was entitled ?The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe?, the only mention of Narnia was in the movie itself and not the title, from what I could recollect.
Anyway, I remembered that I found C.S. Lewis?s ?Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe? a very good book indeed many years ago, (see, my memory does go way back), so I happily sat down with the family and watched this posher titled movie, hoping that I, and especially the kids, would not be disappointed.
Director: Andrew Adamson
Producers: Mark Johnson, Perry Moore, Philip Steuer and Douglas Gresham
Writers: C.S. Lewis, Ann Peacock, Andrew...

Bedroom Philosophy
Advantages: it's something that feminists can have a chick fight over; i.e. disagree
Disadvantages: More violent than erotic, and might contain too much "philosophy" for some
...La Philosophie Dans le Boudoir, which is translated as Philosophy in the Bedroom in some versions and as The Bedroom philosophers in others, is a play written by Marquis de Sade in 1795. It represents the transformation of the 15-year-old virgin, Eugénie, who was brought up by her virtuous mother to become an honest woman. Her father, who disapproves of his wife's way of life, sends her to learn from three libertines how life should be lived. The trio encourages the young girl to express all her desires and passions, and her ultimate hatred seems to be saved for her own mother. The virtuous woman is ridiculed and humiliated by everyone and then she is stripped, beaten, and punished by her daughter and her companions. This punishment reaches its highest point when the group instructs a servant who has syphilis to have sex with the woman...

White, Sherbourne furniture - not wardrobes
Advantages: Made to fit
Disadvantages: No measurements on initial plan, designer didn't give full options of various height/depth/widths.
...wardrobes.
Lots of flexibility regarding height, width and depth but designer tends to draw what THEY like, where THEY want it, so be ASSERTIVE and ask loads of questions about alternatives/options/measurements/positioning.
Initially, we nearly ended up with low level bedside cabinets, hadn't initially been told we could have more suitable mid level - all because designer drew what SHE likes!! Also had to absolutely INSIST she move kneehole dresser to where I wanted it as opposed to where she wanted to put to be "symetrical" - who cares, it's MY bedroom.
She chose 500mm deep dresser top, same as existing for "more floor space" (as fitted butting right up to wall as opposed to Schreiber self assembly which had 5" gap behind it - because of previous rad position, which would be moved for Sharps furniture, thus closing that gap...

Working for Tesco
Advantages: Good pay, great benefits package
Disadvantages: Crap uniform, crap managers
...Ok, first of all, I'd just like to mention, this is a looooooooooooong review, so if you're not actually interested in reading about Tesco as an employer, then I'd suggest you don't bother as it will take some patience to get through!
When I left school at the age of 18, and having decided I couldn't be bothered with university, I suddenly had to face the big bad world and go and find myself a job. I wasn't really fussy about what job I did - I've never been ambitious, and simply wanted a job where I could go to work, do my job, come home and not have to think about it.
As our local Tesco is just 5 minutes away, I decided to apply there. I wrote a letter requesting an application form, and a few days later received a lovely letter and the form I had asked for. I read through the form and thought, wow, I don't know how to answer...

Playmobile Pirates Treasure Chest is an excellent toy
Advantages: Has its own case, canon really fires, pirates clothes are interchangeable
Disadvantages: small parts - use care around ages 0-3
...The Playmobile Pirates Treasure Chest is an excellent toy for my son. My son received it from Santa when he was 4. He is 7 now and still loves it. His favorite part is the canon that can fire 4-5 feet. He also enjoys the secret compartment that has wooden boards covering it. When a "bad" pirate walks over it he falls in and is captured by the "good" pirates, or loot can be hidden in the secret compartment. This set opens and closes well in the front and back. In the back you can change the colorful, cardboard scenery background from a tropical beach to a mysterious cave of treasure. All the parts fit into the treasure chest well and its portability makes it a convenient toy to take on weekends to boring relatives houses. Has loved it so much and now that he is 7 we allow him to play with the pirate hand held guns. He seems...

Tesco trains
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: As good as original brands
...Santa bought my four year old the lovely mountain train set made by tesco. He desperately wanted a train set and when we were in Toysrus we would look at the brio sets and then look around the other toys. It was not unitl near to Christmas that I actually decided to look at the price. I was horrified to discover how expensive brio train sets were. I looked in several other shops ELC etc but they too were too expensive. I found a cheap set in ASDA but it did not seem to be compatabile with brio or even near to the quality, so I decided not to buy the train set from there either. When we were shopping in Tescos my son pointed out the train sets and took a real interest in a lovely mpuntain train set which had had a wooden train set, a little bridge, wooden animals, trees, tunnels, trains, carriages, sign and mountains all for £24...

Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest
Advantages: Good quality, action packed, Disney film
Disadvantages: hard to get hold of
...Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest
This is a Walt Disney film and is the sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl and is directed by Gore Verbinski.
Both films are about old day pirates sailing the seas around the Caribbean, in waters full of weird and exciting things.
Cast
There is an awesome cast mainly those who appeared in the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, most of them are famous actors who have appeared in other very successful films making this a film everyone will want to see, especially due to the casts good reputation in previous films, the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest include?
*Johnny Depp an actor who has appeared in many famous films such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, within this film he plays Captain Jack Sparrow, a witty clever...

No hair left but a beautiful bedroom
Advantages: Very well finished
Disadvantages: Don't care about the customer
...Our nearly 15 year old flat packed bedroom furniture had seen better days and we (really me!) decided that we should invest in some new stuff. Picture this, drawers that go lopsided when they fall off the runners. Wardrobe rails that keep falling down, door handles that fall off. Where do we start?
First we visited the well known furniture retailer who sold us the original flat packs. Things have improved since then. We chose our favourite design and the salesman put together a package based on our room measurements. That came to about £1900 including fitting. But it was ?put together?. It lacked cohesion and I just had this gut feeling that it wasn?t quite what I wanted.
My daughter and I visited another local fitted bedroom company (when my husband was at work!) and I was faced with the most sexist salesman I have ever...

Tescos
Advantages: Great Value
Disadvantages: Puts local businesses under stress
...Tescos is King of all supermarkets and I think that they are best for value in the long term or in the big shop as well. As a student I have found that the tesco down the road from me is my new home, as opposed to the Centre up the road that can be so expensive some times in comparison.
Tescos sells your average grocerys as well as dvd's and electricals, clothes, office supplies, tobacco and confectionary, alcohol, cards for special occassions and toys. Everything you need seems to almost be in one store, there is also a tesco value line that provides Tescos own products at a cheaper price.
The staff in Tescos are always friendly where I come from in Cookstown, they always help you find something if your not quite sure where it is and always strike up a pleasant conversation at the help desk, though I understand that some...
