...Before I begin this review , I am going to tell you a bit more about the Driving Theory Test. To be able to apply and pass your driving practical test you must have passed your driving theory. You have to do the theory first. Currently , you will be asked 50 questions , 43 of which must be correct. There is also a Hazard perception test you must take. This consists of watching 14 clips on a screen , and clicking the mouse button when you see a potential hazard. The sooner you see the potential hazard the more points you gain. A hazard is anything which makes you change speed or direction. I had just turned seventeen which meant I was now able to be on the road legally. ...THE PROCESS If you are going to be taking your theory test soon or are thinking about taking it here's some things you should know (although you will be told all of this beforehand anyway by the DSA and the centre where you take the test). Firstly, to book a test you can phone 0870 010 1372, or by post using a DSA form (I presume you can get this from your driving instructor or a post office), you can also book online at www.dsa.gov.uk which is where I have booked each time. Click on Book a Theory Test, then book a test, you'll be asked for your surname, date of birth and driving licence number, next you are asked to type in your post code a number of centres will come up and you pick the one you want to use, you can then choose a preferred date for your test or for one as soon as possible, the dates and times available will appear... ...Well, this is not completely a review on the Clear Blue pictured, but my comparison of about 15 different pregnancy tests (ok a little egageration!) and how I got on with each of them. Eventually the Clear-Blue brand came out on top for me, but I think the comparison will be worth reading for any of you who are in the 'am I or aren't I?' stage and considering spending the little bit more on a clear blue. ...On the day that I suspected I might be pregnant with baby number two, I went out and bought a Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test. I got it home, read the instructions, and, as soon as I was ready, went to the bathroom and ‘used’ it. I think the stick is supposed to respond within a couple of minutes, but I’d only just finished doing what I had to do when ‘bling’ the thing started flashing ‘pregnant’ at me! My husband and I were absolutely over the moon. We had only recently started trying for our second baby, after months of deliberation, and ‘should we/ shouldn’t we’ type discussions. I’d had a miscarriage a couple of years before, and felt scared at the potential prospect of it happening again. ...Passing your test! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ When I first started taking my driving lessons I actually thought very little about the actual test itself and just carried on as normal. I sort of knew I was good enough to pass and had a feeling I’d pass first time… Yep, this feeling was wrong, but there you go. First things first, to start learning to drive you first need to get a provisional license, which now comes in the form of a little green card with ‘DVLA’ stamped all over it in clear writing. The theory test ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The theory test is something you should try to get out of the way as soon as you possibly can, in my opinion, so you can focus on your actual practical driving skills. A lot of the theory will make more sense once you have a bit more sense of the roads, for example roundabouts and junctions, so starting... Read review

...First of all, as everyone who wants to learn to drive will know it can be a very stressful time. I started to learn about six months ago, to begin with I started shopping around for quotes on lessons and was surprised to see how expensive they were £25.00 a lesson, but this didnt put me off, nor should it put you you just need to think to your self is it all going to be wroth it in the end? Every person is different and each individual takes different times to acomplish things, so dont be put off if one of your friend's or collegue's pass way before youve even if you haven't started to think about your tests. It's not a race. The theory test comes first. I was so scared when I booked mine I was just so worried I was going to fail, so I brought myself a high way code book/ theory test book and a cd rom, these were great... Read review

...Updated!... My Husband and I have been trying to conceive our first child for over 9 years now. As you can imagine over this time we have tried many home pregnancy tests; branded, shop's own brand, cheap and expensive. Since discovering ACON's One Step pregnancy cassette test we will not be trying any other. Let me explain why... PRICE ACON's One Step tests are so much cheaper than any that I have seen in any shop. My first batch cost me £12 for 20 tests, and that includes shipping. Yes, £12 for 20!!!! And they are not the flimsy cheap looking plastic ones that you have to dip in urine for 20 seconds.
