Reviews of tetley
"we all agree, Tetley make tea bags, make tea!"
Review of Tetley Tea Bags by
lipsalve
Advantages: Refreshing and mellow.
Disadvantages: Occasional floaty bits from bag, but this may be my tea making mess-ups!
...I don't run out of tea bags very often (except when my tea mad parents are visiting!), but today I found just a few left at the bottom of the caddy, so I put 'tea bags' on my shopping list, and looked for good old 'Tetley's' in the shop.
Today's purchase was a bag of 160 teabags from Safeway supermarket at the price of £2.67. Oh, and it also had a free decaffeinated tea bag sample attached to the top!
************* Why the Tetley brand is the brand for me *******
I do not buy any other tea brand now, because I have become very fond of the lovely smooth and mellow flavour that Tetley provides. My particular taste in tea is for a refreshing drink. I can not stand strong tea. Some brands I find leave a bitter aftertaste in the back of the throat, whereas Tetley is much milder.
*********** Why tea bags...

...THAT TEAS BETTER, IT'S TETLEY!
As a tea drinker myself who has bought Tetley tea for a long time and find it a great refreshing beverage.

Tetley tea bags are packaged in resealable stay fresh plastic for extra shelf life and freshness.
Look out for the packaging that is blue coloured with the Tetley white text logo on with a couple of green leaves at the front with a heart drawing to represent that it is rich in antioxidents and therefore very good for you.
*AVAILABILITY QUANTITIES OF TEA BAGS AND COSTS*

Tetley Tea Bags Are Fine
Review of Tetley Tea Bags by
ashford
Advantages: Good Flavour Not too strong, not too weak
Disadvantages: Very few
...Ever since Queen Catherine, wife of Charles II,introduced tea drinking as a social and family habit to the British in 1662,most Brits, like many Irish, have been hooked on their ’’cuppa’’. Whether it be breakfast, morning tea break, afternoon, high tea or a visit to a traditional British tea rooms, the British must have their beloved cup of tea.
One of the most popular brands in the market, not only in Britain but other tea drinking countries such as India, Singapore, Malaysia and foreign countries where there are sizeable numbers of British expatriates,is Tetley . .
Tetley get their black tea from plantations in India, Indonesia and some African countries. Reputedly they have buying agents at all the world’s major tea auctions-including the very famous ones at Calcutta and Mombassa-each and every week...

Tetley Green Tea Pure
Review of Tetley Green Tea Pure by
Susanimber
Advantages: Claims to have health benefits
Disadvantages: Caffeine but can buy decaf if you can find it
...I have always liked coffee rather than tea but sometimes drank tea until 11 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter, it put me off tea and coffee, coffee I drank again, tea I never touched. I had seen an advertisement for this Tetley Green Tea Pure in a supermarket magazine and watched various programmes on tv saying how good green tea is for you.
Green tea is supposed to have more antioxidants than normal tea and maybe help prevent cancer killing the bad cells, also heard that it can even help reduce plaque on teeth, the only bad thing about this green tea is that it contains caffeine but not as much as coffee, I always have decaffenated coffee as caffeine seems to make my heart race, also reading about green tea it suggests that you should not drink it if you have heart or kidney problems (may be the caffeine, not sure...

Tetleys tea - a good, all-round tea bag
Review of Tetley Tea Bags by
garysempirecom
Advantages: Convenient to brew, tasty, refreshing
Disadvantages: Can't peg them out to dry
...With 2000 perforations per tea bag, my Tetley One Cup is the best way to get my caffiene fix, night or day.
The packet says Tetley's tea is naturally rich in anitioxidants and that's the buzz thing nowadays so it has to be good for me ... and you, of course.
The One Cup 100s packet says it's ``just right for making tea in a cup or a mug''. I have mine in a mug so I am getting the best out of it, as they advise that ``the One Cup tea bags have been specially designed for you to enjoy the perfect Tetley flavour every time you make tea in a cup or a mug.``
What I like about this black tea is the taste, it makes a nice brew and it is always fresh and of course it easy to make. Round tea bags suit the mugs and all in all it's a Tetley treat for me about 8 times a day.
The Tetley people mention the antioxidant benefits three...

Tetley make tea bags make tea!!
Review of Tetley Tea Bags by
weebill
Advantages: Perfect taste every cup.
Disadvantages: None.
...Up until the grand old age of 40 you wouldn’t have got me near a cup of tea, I was very much milk and juice drinker but then something changed, well actually a lot of things start to change when you reach 40 but this is a tea bag review so I will stick to the task at hand.
Now that I am an avid tea drinker (around ten cups a day) it has to be Tetley for me. I have tried various brands especially at the start of my tea drinking because then I thought tea was tea and that was that.
Even when you have your brand chosen there are still variations to choose from such as the original Tetley or the Tetley one cup for instance. I tend to stick to the original unless the one cup are on offer because I feel we are being charged more for the same bloody tea bag to be honest as I can find no difference between the two.
The thing...

it has to be Tetley
Review of Tetley Tea Bags by
randhawa
Advantages: Great flavour. Pyramid bag brews quickly.
Disadvantages: None. Unless you don’t really like tea.
...Me and my family have always been tea lovers. No one really drinks coffee. We have been using Tetley for years now (I have just confirmed with my mum that its been about 12 years! ) We have “accidentally” bought and tried other tea bags. And we all noticed the difference immediately!
Tea is healthy for you (depending on just how much sugar and milk you put in) and it is easy to make! You can get Green tea, herbal tea, flavoured teas, and all sorts! But black tea is the most common. It is the one sold by Tetley in the UK.
Not all tea bag brands are the same as the original tealeaves come from distinctive regions in the world (Tetley gets theirs from India, Indonesia African) and the leaves are processed differently.
We are big fans of the pyramid bag. It brews a lot more quickly than the traditional square/round bag...

Ewww... Tetley Lemon Tea bags :(
Review of Tetley Lemon Tea Bags by
mints4merlin
Advantages: Tetleys brand so look good in basket/ trolley
Disadvantages: taste bitter, more expensive than plain teas
...A top brand name who has decided to bring out a 'hippy' range - the herbal teabag collection from Tetleys.
These are more expensive than similar types of product currently on the market. Although not as expensive as twinnings or Dr stuarts who will have you paying anything up to £2.50 for a box of individually wrapped 20 box. The boxes look more attractive in your basket at the shops and in your cupboard at home than the plain looking packs of non name stuff! The need to shamefully hide them under your jumper as soon as the checkout clerk has scanned them is removed when purchasing these, as tetleys is a well known and respected Brand Name, although not considered as posh a brand name as Twinings, it's still alot less frowned upon than white label, no frills, Sainsbury's basics!
Place of purchase: Tesco Extra
Weight: 40g Box

Tetley Make Teabags Make Tea.
Review of Tetley Tea Bags by
daseaford
Advantages: Makes a great cuppa.
Disadvantages: None.
...For over five years we have been regular users of Tetley Tea Bags and we do feel that this is the best tea bag currently on the market.
I suppose about once a year we will probably try another brand, perhaps being tempted by a special offer or trying a different make when we are on holiday but we always return to Tetley. Although some other brands are OK we do not feel that they make the tea that we like.
The round Tetley bags do not make the strongest tea, but we do not like strong tea, so that is fine for us. The tea bags do brew very quickly so you are not waiting for ages for the tea to “mash”, or having to stir the water in the tea pot to get a decent cup of tea. The tea has a very smooth taste and a cup of tea has a rich golden colour.
The tea bags are sold in a resealable bag, which ensures...

There's more to life than Tetley!
Review of Dragonfly Rooibos Vanilla Teabags by
Sootica.P.Monster
Advantages: Entirely scrummy, organic and caffeine free
Disadvantages: A bit pricey and not too easy to find off-line
...You may have guessed by now if you are a Sootica.P.Monster regular reader that I do like a bit of tea. Look in my barren fridge and there'll be a nothing but a limp spring onion, a piece of stilton and half a pint of milk...but open the cupboard across the way and teas will come raining down upon you. Literally in fact, as the cupboard contents are stacked in a highly dubious and potentially lethal fashion. I find it so sad that there are people who don't think to experiment a little with their beverages, as they are missing out on a wealth of fabulous tastes! If you've been on holiday to the same hotel in Alicant | | |
