...As I'm studying Computer Science / Computer Engineering, I (unfortunately) have to deal with Maths on a nearly daily basis. We are not allowed to use any calculators in the four Maths exams (neither in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Hardware Engineering…) but for home use I wanted to buy myself a calculator to a) control my results (nothing is more annoying than calculating and calculating over several pages and then having to find out that there's a mistake in first few lines) and to b) get a result quickly when I don't have my laptop with my beloved math software around. ...You don't have to be a mega fan to enjoy Texas' music just good taste. Texas started out back in 1989 with " I don't want a lover" which was a soft rock ballad, with a touch of the good old guitar work. Having just started out in the pop world could they see themselves lasting? Have they got the gift to last out 12 years? Well the answer was and is YES to both of these questions, without a doubt. I spent 4 hours on Tuesday evening standing at more or less at the front of a packed stadium, about 10 foot away from the front of the stage. With tired aching feet and adrenaline pumping though my body, I eagerly awaited the performance from Texas. Let me tell you, it was worth every aching moment and although I'm only 5 ft 2 in tall, I had a brilliant view. We went to see Texas at Sheffield Arena while a friend of mine baby sat my two... Advantages: very informative, fun to use, very educational

...Its fall and my K-5 elementary students have returned to there favorite spots on the risers in my music room. It is always energizing to see there enthusiasm and excitement about school starting, getting there instruments in beginning band and coming back to music class. I especially get a kick out of the kindergarten students who are in "wide eyed wonder" over all the changes they are experiencing. I began the year teaching the students about the different families of instruments and after digging through my dusty files, I found a real treasure! Microsoft created a CD called "Microsoft's Musical Instruments" about 12 years ago. It is one of the best programs I have found for introducing the various families of instruments and learning about instruments from other countries. It only works on the Macintosh computer and I am not sure... Read review

...*~* I love Texas. It has it all - Shopping, culture, heat, and beaches. This makes it a great place for everyone, especially families. Ive been twice, once last year, and once this year. This has given me time to explore what i could of this massive state. First time, i went to Houston, San Antonio, Galveston, Austin and a few other places. We decided we liked texas, and especially Galveston so much, that we returned this year, for a week in Galveston and one week further down south - Rockport, near Corpus Christi. There is a lot to do in Texas, as its such a big state, its difficult to generalise. Of course, there are beaches, and shopping too just about everywhere. *~**~* But, here are some highlights of the state - *~***~~ ~~~San Antonio - This is a lovely city. i reccomend the river walk, which is little shops... ...Two minutes into Happy, Texas, one convict clouts another over the head with a dead armadillo. What more could you want, its a classic comedy moment. The story Chain-gang runaways Wayne and Harry decide to hide out in a small Texas town Happy. On arrival, they're mistaken for notorious a notorius gay couple who specialise in hosting junior Miss America-style beauty pageants. Not wanting to arouse the suspicion of the local sheriff, the pair unhappily pose as lovers and take over the contest, hoping to hang around long enough to rob the town bank and a clean getaway... Other reviews of the film I have read have hinted about the serious aspect of the film. Disadvantages: Minor thing with the album sleeve, hardly worth mentioning!

...Stevie Ray Vaughan (or SRV as he is often known) was an Austin guitarists/singer/songwriter, releasing only five studio albums before his life was untimely ended in a helicopter crash. With his unique guitar tone and individual style, Stevie is still considered one of the greatest rock-blues guitarist of all time, inspiring young players to this day. Eventually going on to appear on albums for the likes of Davie Bowie and Jackson Browne, 'Texas Flood' was his and his band Double Trouble, (Chris Layton on drums and Tommy Shannon on bass) debut album. Originally released in 1983, here we have a remastered version released in 1999, with some Bonus Tracks thrown in for good measure. The film doesn't try to re-invent the story, or complicate it with extraneous details. ...I have to admit I found Johnny Winter totally by chance. I was in a record shop and saw a CD in a round, metal case. "Johnny Winter? The Texas Tornado? I'll buy that!" So I did. What I found was a musician, Johnny Winter, who is a hard rocking bluesman of consummate skill. Johnny Winter is such a accomplished bluesman that I have to admit that it came as something of a shock to discover that Johnny Winter is a white Texan. Though he reveals that he hung out in the black part of his hometown in Texas, such was his fever for the blues. And, Winter maintains that it was his sincerity about his passion for the blues that meant that he was safe there.
