...Are you ready for a thrilling review on a TFT screen cleaner? And not just any old TFT screen cleaner, what we have here is a pot of no less than one hundred TFT and LCD Screen cleaning tissues. Excited? I hope you are, because believe it or not this is exciting stuff. Having parted with well over three hundred pounds for a brand new Philips TFT monitor a couple of months ago I proceeded to make the screen smeary with the use of a common can of furniture polish, well it works on the TV why wouldn?t it work on the monitor? Well, it didn?t work, no matter how hard I polished and rubbed the smears would not disperse, Argh, it was like looking through a curtain!
Luckily, in the recesses of my mind I remember seeing a little display of TFT monitor accessories in PC World when I was buying the monitor, and I distinctly remember some sort...

.... Another unlike able point is that of the odd designed it tends to let the monitor wobble a bit, for example if you have your printer on the same desk or if you give it a tap. But it's really not an issue as you don't go around tapping your monitor or printing documents constantly.
I would highly recommend this monitor to any one it's as good as any well known manufacture, but much cheaper if your looking for a 17 inch monitor for all round media use this is the TFT for you....

...I decided to replace my 19" CRT monitor for home use. Using a 17" TFT at work, I found the resolution ont hat more than adequate. Research on prices on the web showed that this Digimate monitor was the most reasonable, with the right features. I was particularly attracted by the angle adjustment, and the built-in speakers.
Ordering was extremly simple - I used a company called aria - and the cost was £123 inc VAT. I had the screen delivered to my work address, which was no problem for their on-line ordering system.
The product arrived promptly and well packaged. Configuration onto my system was easy - very much a simple plug and play, as you would expect these days. The process was simple for all levels of user - from basic to expert.
Setting the monitor up ont he desk - again very easy, with the angle adjustment...
Advantages: portable, runs very fast, large storage with TimeMachine application for backing up your work Disadvantages: some problems with using Safari, though this may be due to the wireless network I am using, costs!

As you know, here at work we are a major HP user nowadays. Mainly because of the reliability and quality of the products. Hey, im the IT manager so the better quality products we buy, the less maintenance and replacing we need to do!
That why when my developers were asking for more screen resolution to maximise their working space, we needed 19 inch monitors that could not only give a bigger picture but also offer larger resolutions than the industry standard 1024 x 768 most flat screens seem to offer.
Believe it or not, many of the large 19 inch monitors on the market cannot cope with 1280 x 1024 Resolution which the HP L1906 copes with admirably. Without any problems from refresh...

Advantages: Sharp, vibrant, sleek and attractive Disadvantages: DVI cable not included, pricey
...I have just moved to a TFT after I decided by 2 year old 17" Iiyama CRT was not sharp enough for 2005. Now, having entered the TFT world with this monitor, I never want to go back.
The Iiyama Prolite E431S is one of the best TFT's I've ever seen or used, period.
First, lets get the obvious questions out of the way:
Dead Pixels? No.
Hot Pixels? No.
Sharp? Yes.
Colourful? Yes.
Bright? Yes.
Slim? Yes.
Expensive? No.
Cheap? Definetely not.
Secondly, all the above also apply to the other monitor that I ordered - which is exactly the same make and type (which is going to my brother). Iiyama's product design and QA teams have certainly done wonders.
Typically, I use my PC for 3D gaming and productivity (both text and graphics-based), which pretty much covers most bases that a TFT is expected to perform on. Some TFT's ghost...

...to keep this screen right where you want it. It does not suffer like some of the more flimsy alternatives. With the size and weight of such a large TFT screen, you do need something strong to keep it in place.
Extras. Well you do get a driver disk and manual on CD with the included 1 year warranty but to be honest, the disk has never been used. Most modern PCs are capable ar having drivers built in for such a screen and causes no problems when attaching computers for the first time. You do get a standard VGA to VGA cable included and the power cord. There is no DVI connection on this monitor or S Video. Its VGA only.
Drawbacks. Only one i can see with it is that it does not come with Speakers. Obviously its more to go wrong and not such an issue for home users as most people have separate desktop speakers at home but in the office its...
