neovo f-17 does the job!
Review of Neovo F 17 by
zeddkiller
Advantages: flatscreen, looks good
Disadvantages: a bit outdated now?
...This is the monitor that is used by my house. So this is what I use regularly. The AG Neovo f-17 flat screen TFT monitor is not exactly unique, but does the job!
STATISTICS AND FEATURES
Neo-V Crystal Optic Filter
17" TFT Active Matrix Screen
1024x768 Screen Resolution
Small Footstand
Analog Input
Video Input
LOOKS
This looks every bit the flat monitor. It has a grey textured finish. This does look a bit dull after a bit.
The monitor is rectangular in screen shape. The screen is 17" in length. then there is an additional one and a half inches of panelling. The buttons controlling the screen are at the bottom of the screen and are centrally placed. It is about two inches in width from front to back.
The screen is perfectly flat and this provides a good view of the desktop.
It has a port at the back that is hidden...

Neovo Equals Nice
Review of Neovo F 17 by
Credance100
Advantages: Excellent, clear display. Great value due to recent price drop.
Disadvantages: Dead Pixels may occur.
...Last week, my father had the chance to buy a new monitor for a system he was building. While installing the OS / Driver software for the newly built computer, I got the chance to assemble and try out the Neovo F 17 model flat screen TFT monitor.
Having only used CRT's in my lifetime, I was unsure of what to expect with this flat screened TFT model prior to opening its box. I'd heard much about them, notably the notoriously high prices and the danger of dead pixels.
Despite the ongoing critique I'd heard from various sources, I became confident of the monitors ability upon opening its box.
Inside was the screen itself, plus a small instruction booklet and the monitor's stand, plus the monitors video cable, and its power cable.
Compared to CRT monitor models, the Neovo F 17 is very light for a monitor, It weighs in at around 5...

Excellent TFT, Recommended to anyone.
Review of Neovo F 417 by
ridoutma
Advantages: Thin Bezel, Great Image Quality, Easy Setup.
Disadvantages: No DVI Input.
..., which some users would prefer, but I don't have the option of a DVI output on my PC, so it is a non-factor for me.
It was also very reasonable at £150 inc VAT, a fact which made me take a step back when I first saw it, as Neovo have a very good reputation for making TFT monitors.
Generally I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 17" TFT monitor....

Get one if you can find one!
Review of Neovo S 17A by
theenglishviet
Advantages: Large screen, glass front
Disadvantages: Large frame
...want) unlike many of the availble TFT monitors out there. You don't get the blackness or blurrness if viewing from the sides.
There are two inputs availble, the normal VGA and the DVI (Digital Video Input) which means if you don't have a fancy digital graphics card, you can just use the standard port which the normal monitors use. The image is clear and because of the glass front, it filters out any light interferences well. If you have seen the Sony LCD monitors with the glass front, you know what this monitor is like.
With added extras, it is possible to wall mount the monitor but the base stand works just as well.
I'd recommend this product to anyone looking for a decent high quality TFT monitor. However, good luck finding one! The updated model which replaces this model is the AG Neovo E 17A. The only difference...

I'm a modern square!
Review of Neovo F 17 by
jo145
Advantages: Large flat screen, easy to view
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...on the internet and decided to buy one from TIME. We decided to treat ourselves to a flat screen, as space was at a premium, and it as it is larger it is easier for my aging eyes!
The model is F – 17 by neovo, a 17 inch TFT LCD panel, and was delivered very well packed and complete with manual. My son had it all set up very easily, so I can’t really comment except it must have been straight forward! (Don’t tell him I said that!)
In actual fact it measures 16.5 in x 14.25 in, the diagonal measures 17in. I tell you that because not everyone seems to be aware how you measure a screen, be it a television or monitor. The overall height including the oval base foot is 16.25. The width at the widest point with the base is 7in, making it very attractive to people with limited space. At the front in the centre are 7 little flat buttons, with an embossed...

The F-417 - Sounds Exciting But It Really Isn't!
Review of AG Neovo F 417 by
anonymili
Advantages: cheap and cheerful?
Disadvantages: low stand height, no built in speakers, not for gamers
...I've been using the AG Neovo F-417 for about 6 months now and have found it to be a fairly average monitor to date. I use it on a daily basis at work spending a good 7-8 hours in front of it so it's worth mentioning that it doesn't seem to give me headaches or sore eyes from looking at it for great lengths of time.
As an entry level TFT LCD (which means "Thin-film transistor liquid crystal display" for those who didn't know that) monitor, The F-417 does actually have a sleek design and is available in black or silver - mine is black to match my keyboard, mouse and headset!
TECHNICAL SPECS
The AG Neovo F-417 is a 17 inch flat screen (TFT LCD) monitor. It comes with a 3 year on site warranty if you purchase it directly from AG-Neovo. Its gross weight is about 7 kilos and the typical brightness is 260cd/m2. The contrast...

17 INCHES OF TFT GENIUS
Review of Belinea 10 17 41 by
penguin1052
Advantages: THE DESKSPACE YOU GAIN
Disadvantages: THE COST
...PICTURE QUALITY
Absolutely awesome, crystal clear. Some of the older TFT’s I’ve seen used to be a bit fuzzy but this is great, I always get a really really clear image.
IMAGE SIZE IN RELATION TO TUBE SIZE
I’m taking this section to be in relation to the same size monitor in a CRT range. The image is just the same size, perfect replication. However you do benefit from having a flat screen which gets rid of the distortion seen on a standard monitor making for a much clearer and crisper picture.
COLOUR SENSITIVITY
Running on Windows XP the colours are really bright but without getting a blur. Like the “Start” button with it’s bright colours but the windows logo on the button is just so clear, as is everything. When playing back a DVD or film clip you can really see all the colours. Previously on some CRT’s I’ve seen them...

Toshiba Satellite P100-112 Core Duo T2500 17" TFT
Review of Toshiba Satellite P100-112 - Core Duo T2500 2 GHz - 17" TFT by
roddersontheradio
Advantages: Brilliant trubrite screen gives pin sharp image
Disadvantages: keyboard is tight
...Recently upgraded from a Toshiba Satellite 2450 so slightly biased in favour of the brand which I've found to be robust and reliable. This baby is cuter in terms of the graphic capability especially with the 17" trubrite screen which gives a wonderfully clean image - definitely it's biggest selling point. It also has the DVD RW capability plus WiFi which are essential upgrade features. On the matter of upgrades, I like the fact that you can access the memory mode bay on the underside rather than a complex fiddle with keyboards to reach the RAM chips. Speaking of keyboards, this is my one gripe with the Pro. The keyboard's a bit tighter and I find it too easy to hit the up key instead of the Right shift key which is intently irritating. It's also not the most portable of notebooks given it's 3.2kg weight. However, this is offset...

Classy LCD Screen
Review of Neovo E 19 by
simon578
Advantages: Design, Quality of materials used, Screen Quality
Disadvantages: Weight (However shows that it's solid)
...Have owned this AG Neovo E-19A for about 5 months now and have had no problems at all with it.
The screen is made from very high quality materials, Aluminium, Steel, Glass. Only pieces that are made from plastic but nevertheless look very good are the buttons for power, screen controls, volume and contrast.
This monitor comes with integrated speakers which to my surprise have a very nice treble quality but as I use a 7.1 surround system, I don't use the monitor speakers.
Features
NeoV Optical Filter
19" TFT Active Matrix Screen
1280X1024 Resolution
Built-in Speakers with Headphone Jack
Key Lock Function
Analog and DVI* Inputs
The colours are extremely smooth thanks to the NeoV optical filter and the glass front of the screen compared to the plastic front on cheaper LCD screens.
Panel Size 19.0" (483mm...

Bargain Flatscreen, Premier Quality
Review of Neovo F 17 by
booknet
Advantages: great monitor at a good price
Disadvantages: none
...I've had this monitor a few months now, so feel qualified to write an opinion about it.
I'm not sure why I chose to purchase a flatscreen - I'm highly suspicious of them in general. The hype about 'dead pixels', awful viewing angles, slow updates and washed out colours put me off.
I used to be of the opinion that a good old fashioned FST (flatter, squarer tube) monitor would do me fine.
My old monitor had been a 15 inch Daewoo that had served me well for a long time, but was becoming very, very dark and hard to use in games. I inherited an old 17 inch that had a broken base, but was otherwise working fine.
I guess it was the broken base that was the problem. I was resting it on a spare desktop case but I wanted more desk space to clutter up. So, when at a computer fair, I saw a flatscreen for 195 pounds I couldn't resist...
