Is it wrong to love a machine so much?
Review of Sony VAIO FE31M - Core 2 Duo T5600 1.83 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
podgepig
Advantages: Attractively Designed / Excellent Performance
Disadvantages: erm...
...Good day and welcome to my review of the wondrous, the sublime, the fantabulous, the wonderiffic, the somewhat shiny, merry laptop of joyous tidings that is the catchily named Sony VGN - FE31M. (The very name itself, sends shivers of anticipation... or perhaps eyebrow - raising bemusement... down your spine)
To kick off my review in a predictable, inevitable and somewhat tedious way I shall bombard you with technical waffle, the likes of which you have never seen! (well, maybe you have if you have read the box it comes in).
Processor:
Yep, it has one. The sturdy little workhorse that is known to those in the know as "The Intel Core 2 Duo T5600".
Now, to those of you who, like me, uttered oaths upon the lines of "Yeah, what's one of them things then?" (or other more profane variations), this is a Dual Core (yep two...

Fujifilm Finepix S5600 Review
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S5600 Zoom by
Danz0r
Advantages: Advanced Features, 10x Optical Zoom, Choice of modes, Battery life.
Disadvantages: Clunky Menu System
...Fuji, a brand well known around the world have created an exceptional camera with their S5600.
Being an Amateur photographer myself, I know the difficulty in finding a decently priced camera which has plenty of features, until this.
The S5600, Is an ideal camera for anyone wanting it for general use, or even for budding photographers. A wide range of features such as a great Macro mode, landscape, night, portrait, video, and many more offer you the chance to capture anything, at any time.
Another good thing is the ability to change advanced settings, although they are hidden amongst some large menu's, and can sometimes be a hassle to find.
The S5600's battery life is also first to none. With NiMh 1300 Rechargeable Batteries, my camera manages to last for atleast 250 photos before gracefully burning out. The zoom is also superior...

Fortec Star FSC0-5600 Plus
Review of Fortec Star FSC0-5600 Plus Satellite Receiver by
Geewhizza
Advantages: Small , Neat and Very Quick. Price around £199
Disadvantages: 1 scart output
...This is a brand new digital satellite reciever from Fortec Star.
The 5600 Plus measures just 25cm x 19cm x 4cm , making it one of the smallest if not the smallest satellite reciever on the market today.
Looking at the front of the reciever from left to right we have the power switch followed by the exit and menu buttons and a channel display then a ok button and volume and channel`s buttons and a flap under this flap is just one card slot for satellite cards.
At the rear of the box from left to right is just one Tv scart socket, audio outputs and satellite in and outputs which makes it easy for connecting to other satellite equipment ,along with a RS232 connector which connects via a RS-232 serial cable to a computer for software updates and the usual tv output is also here.
The remote control is a standard size remote...

Oki 5600n Is Amazing!
Review of OKI C 5600n by
Caio-Spike
Advantages: Low cost, relatively quiet, good software pack & support from Oki
Disadvantages: Wish it was A3 for this price but nothing else springs to mind
...When Oki released their colour printers a few years ago the print results were mediocre to say the least. Colour lasers had cleaner sharper lines and the finish was simply better.
In the past couple of years Oki have refined their technology and printer software to bring us a range of machines that are truly amazing!
The C5600n was my printer of choice. It warms up quickly, is reltively quiet and produces laser quality fast prints at a relatively low cost.
The user interface is excellent, printer operation is simple and the replacement of toners, drums and fuser unit very simple.
There are good offers around from main line Oki dealers so shop wisely but deals can be found.
I would be wary of buying second hand as these machines can be given hard lifes but for a personal/office printer of this quality at a sub-£400 price...

damont
Advantages: Outstanding performance
Disadvantages: Battery life poor
...desktop PC or more.
I was aware that the Sony brand had long been established in this particular market and more to the point had become well respected, hence my decision to plumb for this model.

Good quality performance laptop
Review of Sony VAIO AR31M - Core 2 Duo T5600 1.83 GHz - 17" TFT by
davidwilkes
Advantages: Very fast, very stable, well thought out design
Disadvantages: Built in camera is a joke
...This is the first time I have ever done a review on anything, so I hope this is of some use to someone. I have just recently (within the last month) splashed out on one of these and since no-one else has done so yet, I thought I would share my experiences.
Initially my intention was to spend around the £500 mark and buying a laptop as a secondary device. Then I had the idea of doing away with my desktop all together. Consequently I needed a laptop that would do all the things my desktop could do, but with the portability of a laptop.
I must say that my Sony has met and exceeded all my expectations. I will attempt to run through the main features and explain how I personally have found them to of some benefit.
DISPLAY:
Superb 17" screen TFT (1440 * 900) Sony have yet again proven their market leadership in visual technology...

punker123
Advantages: fast, good memory
Disadvantages: portability
...The Acer Travelmate 5624WSMi has a massive 160gb hard drive making sure you can store all the data you need for all your multimedia needs.
this acer travelmate was designed specifically with the buisness porson in mind, who needs a super fast piece of equiptment, lots of storage and womthing easy to work with.
this had a Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a great 2gb of ram to make this laptop glide as smoothly as possible. the ram can also be upgraded to 4gb for those demanding users.
this laptop has a great 17\" TFT active matrix screen which gives you great imadges and sharp graphics due to its active matrix technology.

A Thrilling Review on TFT Screen Cleaner
Review of Storex TFT, LCD and PDA Screen Cleaning Tissues by
stuleg
Advantages: They do the job
Disadvantages: Too Small
...Are you ready for a thrilling review on a TFT screen cleaner? And not just any old TFT screen cleaner, what we have here is a pot of no less than one hundred TFT and LCD Screen cleaning tissues. Excited? I hope you are, because believe it or not this is exciting stuff. Having parted with well over three hundred pounds for a brand new Philips TFT monitor a couple of months ago I proceeded to make the screen smeary with the use of a common can of furniture polish, well it works on the TV why wouldn’t it work on the monitor? Well, it didn’t work, no matter how hard I polished and rubbed the smears would not disperse, Argh, it was like looking through a curtain!
Luckily, in the recesses of my mind I remember seeing a little display of TFT monitor accessories in PC World when I was buying the monitor, and I distinctly remember some sort...

Acer Aspire 5101AWLMi - 15.4" TFT
Review of Acer Aspire 5101AWLMi - Turion 64 mobile technology MK-36 2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
maggot13
Advantages: cheap, good quality laptop with decent features, upgradable.
Disadvantages: no bluetooth. memory will need upgrading if moving on to Windows Vista
...First off what an easy to use laptop full of built in features for a very reasonable price ( £349.99 upwards) was £380 when i purchased mine but is worth every penny. Why people pay in excess of £500 for machines with a lower spec is beyond me. Acer have come a long way in providing great quality laptops at a lower price.
on first run you follow the setup options and then it recommends you create a restore disc i did this using 2 blank dvd's with ease just following the on screen instructions. once this was complete i did the windows updates to get it fully upto date.
The inbuilt wireless adapter (Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network Adapter) connects so easy to my wireless network with a reasonable range even in the garden. The 15.4" WXGA wide CrystalBrite TFT LCD Display is just as good as its name suggests (crystal) it displays...
