...I am doing the review on That's Life issue 43, 25-Oct.-2007. On the cover it says That's Life! in white and the price 68p, in small writing is the date and the issue number. All this is enclosed in a red box. It also has something about a few stories to try and grab your attention. On the front of this issue is True Stories:- Mums dirty grope at my wedding When you read the story you find out that it is about abuse. Real Lives:- Why I enjoyed kicking him between the eyes This is about domestic violence. True Stories:- My head was full of blisters A short article about someone having an allergic reaction to a hair dye. Advantages: Money-making opportunities, some interesting bits

...Researching the market for selling my short stories, I recently bought a few magazines to see what the standard was like. One of these magazines was That's Life! which comes out weekly and is priced at 65p. This is one of several almost identical looking magazines aimed at women from around 20 to 60. Whilst being one of the cheapest, I'm afraid the look of it suffers from the obvious cost-cutting measures they have employed, as the paper itself is low quality and feels almost greasy to the touch. The magazine is 48 pages long and seems very crowded, with photos and texts fighting for space and your eyes unsure as to what to focus on next. Advantages: Cheap, trashy and fun to read
Disadvantages: Cheap, trashy......

...I must admit I am an avid reader,I'll read practically anything! So I get 3 'womens' mags a week as much for the stories as for the competitions, but more about that later. Thats Life follows on the heels on Chat and Take a Break, but costing a mere 57p, but it shows. The paper is obviously cheap and is so thin it wouldnt even do for the emergency times when you've run out of loo paper! Its only 46 pages long this particular issue (6th Dec 2001) but it only has 5 pages of adverts which is probably a better ratio than some of the top mags. So to the contents, well it has to be said Thats Life is the equivalant of Jerry Springer. Its trashy, flashy and the antics of some people!!!! Advantages: Funny amusing stories-even if they're not supposed to be
Disadvantages: Not exactly high in pulitzer prize content.

...My wife occasionally buys this magazine and I’ve picked it up a few times and had a read, as it has some word search quizzes and things –which I enjoy doing. (Honest- that’s the main reason I read it). Aimed primarily at women the magazine contains articles that are not too in-depth, covering topics like Health, Beauty, Fashion Cookery and some other items that vary from issue to issue. The magazine is a strange mix, because parts of it come across like a glossy tabloid of the “currant bun” variety, while it also tries to cover some serious issues. The magazine also contains regular features like horoscopes and items like “tightwad tips” Here readers write in with tips to save money ,or how to make use of something , or just basic household tips. Advantages: Lots Of Real Stories
Disadvantages: Paper easily creased and ruined.

...That's Life contain what myself and many others want to read. There are Embarssing Moments, Your Shouts, Real Life Stories and many more. Embarassing Moments. Imagine, you are sat on a bus, everyone starring at you. You dont think anything of it untill a passer-by tells you your skirts tucked in your knickers. Oh the shame! You just want to hide away, forget it ever happened. But why? Not when you can send it into That's Life and earn a few Pounds whilst doing it. It almost makes your shame seem worth it, right? Your Shouts. Is your neighbour playing his music to loudly or is your park filled with litter? What evers eating you up inside send it into That's Life and have a good old shout about it. Advantages: Compelling and amusing serial
