Stoodi for you
Review of Stoodi Bakers - Pre Club Euphoria by  benson_a

Advantages: You wont get board
Disadvantages: Can get uncomfortable

...As clubs go in Birmingham, Stoody Bakers is amongst the best of them. Two rooms compose the make up of the club. The larger of the two-the main dance floor has a great deal to offer for everyone. With the attractive combination of fire-eaters, sexy podium dancers and a fantastic lighting system all mixed together with a pumping dance beat- there is plenty to occupy the clubber throughout the night. If you become tired later on in the evening, there is always the chill out room by the entrance to ease your aches and pains. I’ve generally found this room to be relaxed and friendly. Despite the many benefits Stoody Bakers has to offer, I can understand why some people wouldn’t enjoy a night out there. The music can get very loud and repetitive, and when the club is busy; it is very uncomfortable. There is limited dance space owing... Read review

A Scottish Holiday, but I didn't see Nessie
Review of Bakers Dolphin by  Coloneljohn

Advantages: good price. good service
Disadvantages: nothing much could use more leg room on seats

...Bakers Dolphin Tour Operator This is a company started in 1889 by, not surprisingly, a Mr Baker They are now based in Weston super Mare and the Company Bakers Dolphin Travel is part of the First Choice group. The company has been engaged in various forms of travel despite two World Wars. The coach side started in 1923 but it was not until 1964 that they went into Travel when their first agency was opened in Weston super Mare I would like to describe my experience with them on a holiday at the end September 2004.I hope that I do not go on too much for you. I do not intend to give you a mile by mile report of my journey. I used First Choice to book the holiday after going through several travel agents in the local high street. Both my wife and I wanted to go to Scotland, so I booked the 7 day tour of The Western Highlands... Read review

Daddy Cool
Review of Daddy Cool: The Musical by  EmBe

Advantages: great fun, great songs
Disadvantages: story a little weak

...Daddy Cool is the brand new musical currently showing at the Shaftsbury Theatre in London's West End. The Story Daddy Cool tells the story of Sunny and Rose who fall in love despite being from two families torn apart by years of fighting. The musical is set to the music of Boney M. The story starts in the Islands in 1990 with Sunny as a young boy, told by his grand mother that his mother in England wants him back home. We then join him in the present day, home in London, trying hard to make it in the music business with his group The Subsonics. Progress of the group is slowed by The Blade Squad, a rival group led by Benny, son of clubowner Ma Baker (Michelle Collins) The two groups rivalry comes to a head when they enter into an MC Battle which leds to the shooting of one of The Subsonic members. Can the subsonics... Read review

Fairytale White Castle
Review of Gwrych Castle by  Sarah_Louise

Advantages: First gothic folly to be built in Europe, an immense and varied history, its haunted....
Disadvantages: Been allowed to decay by an absentee owner, neglected by the local authorities, continues to fall into disrepair by the day, parts are now collapsing

...star hotel and opera house. Legal problems persisted though; this dream never became a reality. Security guards left in 1995, leaving the Castle open to the elements and the vandals. = = = Gwrych Castle today = = = There is now a registered charity set up to try and save Gwrych Castle, the Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust, founded by Mark Baker. The Trust is now working towards a feasibility study, which could make the Conwy County consider compulsory purchase. For more information on the Trust please see the end of this review. The Castle has been left to deteriorate over the years. New age travellers moved in and stripped Gwrych of its marble dado running alongside the marble staircase along with its fireplaces and chandeliers and any other items that could be sold. Since, vandals have continued to transform the... Read review

Review of Cosmeston Medieval Village by  merv83

Advantages: Well built, educational, entertaining.
Disadvantages: Noise from passing cars distract from concentration on village.

..., owned by the Vale of Glamorgan Council. When the old quarry was being cleaned up during the late 1970’s, earthworks were found and excavations were taken out by archaeologists. Remains of medieval buildings were found, and from here, over the years since 1985, the buildings have been rebuilt similar to how they would have looked during the fourteenth century. >>>> Buildings <<<< There are nine different buildings within the village. These include The Reeve’s Barn, The Reeve’s Cottage, the Baker’s Cottage & Tavern, the Bake House, Swineherd’s Cottage, and the Tithe Barn. The visitor centre/museum is located before you go through the second set of gates into the actual reconstructed village. The buildings have been rebuilt with limestone from the local beach along with stone found at the site, all on top of their original... Read review

Touch-A-Touch-A-Touch-A-Touch-Me
Review of Madame Tussauds, London by  Tempus_Fugit

Advantages: 'meet & touch' celebrities
Disadvantages: expensive, small, crowded, not enough to see

...they were the only ones who'd forgotten to up the price for the pass unlike all the other sites. I got the pass £5.00 cheaper - £80 instead of the £85 it normally is - by buying online and picking up at Madame Tussauds. And as I was there anyway I decided to have a look how things had changed over the past 10 or 15 years (or more) since I last bothered to go. I went a second time only a few weeks ago when friends came to visit and we all went together again thanks to free entry with annual pass. Getting there: Madame Tussauds is easily found by either bus or underground. It's situated almost exactly on the corner of Marylebone Road and Baker Street - if Baker Street Underground Station wasn't taking up the corner plot. But walking out into Marylebone Road from Baker Street Tube you will notice the green domed building to the left. That... Read review

""The Wheels On The Bus Go Round And Round""
Review of http://www.theoriginaltour.com/ by  chattell

Advantages: You Get To See It All
Disadvantages: You May Tire Easy

...one of the main ticket offices were, and took the details with us. On arrival in London we checked out Baker Street, where a main ticket office is situated, to purchase our tickets ready for the next morning, and got chatting to the ticket attendant, after running through the details with us what we actually decided to do was a little different than we had previously anticipated. To start with tickets are valid for 24 hours from the time that you purchase them, so being as it was now 3.30pm, we bought our tickets and we decided to take a full tour which lasts for 2 ½ hours, to take it all in, and decide from that what we really wanted to look at tomorrow, then get off at a particular place of interest, then hop back on, which is the real benefit of this ticket. So I'll start to fill you in more………. The London Tour Company... Read review

Shopping with Danish pastry in hand
Review of Member Advice on Shopping in Holstebro by  northern_lights

Advantages: Shopping
Disadvantages: No money left

...is generally the breakfast pastries, and they are incomparable to the true Danish afternoon pastry which just melts in your mouth (this is called wienerbrød)! They are mostly sold in long thin flat pieces and most contain an almond paste filling or chocolate. They are made fresh every day by the bakers and they take hours to make properly as they are rested in between layers of butter being added. So yes, they are slightly full of calories, but eat and enjoy – you just can’t buy them anywhere else the same!! There are lots of independent bakeries still in operation which are open 7 days a week. I would suggest that you ask locally for someone to recommend to you which is their favourite baker – it does make a difference. I also love cakes that are full of Nougat (not the nougat we know, but more of a fudgy type mixture... Read review

Philip Schofield's Travel Agency
Review of Let´s Go Travel Agents by  Rosassnaps

Advantages: Wide Holiday Choice
Disadvantages: Only West Country branches

...ago, and another to the Welsh Canal in the Brecon Beacons, last year. Also, we wanted to book a Coach Tour from the Bakers Dolphin Brochure.(A weekend trip last September and an 8 day trip this April 20th). As Bakers Dolphin is a rival Travel Agency (based in Weston Super Mare, I think),LET’S GO do not stock these brochures, but they did not refuse. The Travel Consultant got on the phone, and sorted it out for us. Why did we not go to the Bakers Dolphin branch, you ask. Well, my youngest daughter is a Travel Consultant at LET’S GO, so who better to give the commission to! But I would not recommend booking a Bakers Dolphin trip again, as both were cancelled 4 weeks before departure! Now we have to wait until May for our trip to Lake Garda, which should have been this week. We have already booked our September holiday with LET... Read review
