Suffolk Sheet 90.01 Felixstowe 1902 - published 1998; introduction by Robert Malster. This detailed map of Felixstowe is double-sided to provide maximum coverage. The main map covers the northern half of the town, and features include the Town station, Orwell Hotel, Felixstowe House, Martello Tower, Vernon Villa, Felixstowe Lodge, remains of old pier, and the streets around Constable Road. Coverage extends east to Old Felixstowe, with St Peter & St Paul's church. In the NW quarter is part of Walton, including St Mary's church, Queen Street and High Street. On the reverse wew include the map to the south, sheet 90.05, and this covers the coastal part of the town, incl BalmoralHotel, St John the Baptist & St Felix's church, Orwell Road, Cliff Gardens, Ordnance Hotel, engine shed. (Note that the docks are not included). There is still room to include a list of private residents from an 1896 directory.

"Music From The Mists Of Time" features the music of Scottish accordionist and entertainer Tommy Newcomen and scenery includes; Blairgowrie, The Angus and Royal Hotels, The Wellmeadow and Riverside, Alyth Burn, Kirriemuir, Perth's Kinnoull Hill, Bruars Fall, Dunkeld, Pitlochry, Queens View, Blair Castle, Balmoral Castle, Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument, Restenneth Priory, Spean Bridge Commando Monument, St. Andrews, St.Andrews Abbey, Various shots of the Fife coast, the Strathmore valley, West coast scenery, and other Scottish views. Other items of interest on the DVD include one track featuring the sights taken from the visit, to Blairgowrie, of the massed Canadian Pipe Bands in July, various shots of heavy horse, various wildlife and dancing ducks, Dunkeld Cathedral and a special guest appearance of piper Graeme Thomson. Advantages: It's a bona fide Scottish Royal home! Disadvantages: Expensive, little to do/see, only one room allowed to view in the Castle itself.

...A good pair of stable wellington boots is essential in the winter. The best thing about them is that if you get a good pair you can wear them with anything and they still look good! I bought the balmorals in the sale and they should last me ages, they will most certainly be coming to Glastonbury with me anyway! I have had my new wellies out this week in the snow and I am really pleased with them...

...the Ryan-air website and took a look at the hotels in the Benalmadena resort, the cheapest available at the time was the Balmoral at a reasonable £229 per person for a week?s holiday with flights and it even included the Balmoral?s morning breakfast buffet, bargain! The hotel was shown as a two star on the website and this worried me as I had never stayed in anything under three stars before, as they say...
