...The Beast House is a fantastic sequal to The Cellar and a brilliant prequal to the Midnight Tour. I had not realised that there was a trilogy to the "Beast story" and I did not read them in order. I thought each was a compelling read in it's own right. Not wanting to give away too much of the story, The Cellar follows the story of a Beast which seems to inhabit Malcassa Point. There are twists and turns in the plot which kept me reading long into the night - probably not the best time to read a horror! The Beast kills in the Beast House, an old house where the beast first killed which has been turned into a tourist attraction. For all Laymon fans it is definately a must. After I had finished The Cellar I had to run out and buy the other two books in the trilogy. Definately not one to ponder over in the book shop.... Read review

...lost in the forest and had to go to the nearest house to get help in the storm - He made his way to an enchanted castle where he was greeting by a walking/talking candle stick and clock. But then the master of the house realised there was an intruder in his castle and revealed himself then threw him in the dungeon. The old man could not believe a beast lived in a castle. Later that night Belle Enters the enhanced castle to find her father locked up in the dungeon and the beast finds her and ends up taking her hostage in replace of her father's freedom. Belle doesn't get locked up in the dungeon, she gets a room of her own, and has full run of the house except for one room. .... The beast is very cruel at first, but you soon see a softer side. There's also a talking teapot - and her baby cups, a candlestick, a clock and many other strange household items that are personified in a very funny and gentle, amusing way. It is a really funny film, but the romantic element is the strongest factor. Cast I should say, in case you didn't figure when I said it was 'animated', all the cast are voice only. Beneath each is a few other things the actor has appeared in - you're more likely to know who they are then. ...The story in this book follows a group of tourists visiting 'The Beast House', a 'legendary site of ghastly murder' and some of the staff who work there. It also tells the story of what happened to a girl 17 years previously and near the end of the book the stories cleverly match up. This is the 3rd book in the Beast House Chronicles and in my opinion the best one. I would recommend reading the first two books “The Beast House” and “The Cellar” before reading this one because they explain a lot about the history of the beast house and the beasts and although a lot of that information is also mentioned within this book, I found that already having background knowledge of the beast house was very helpful. You go down to the video shop and take out whatever is still left on the shelves to rent. For me today it was Sexy Beast, a British gangster movie starring Ray Winstone. I had mixed feelings before putting the film in the machine. ...The Beast House is the sequel to The Cellar, and is a sequel in the truest sense - it continues the story of the original, rather than just being a rehash to cash in on the first book's success. It's difficult to describe the plot without giving away the ending of The Cellar, but it involves another group of people's encounter with the Beast House at Malcasa Point. Laymon has clearly made an effort to make this novel dovetail with the first, and he succeeds well, for example making one of the stars of The Beast House a friend of an apparently incidental character who dies at the beginning of The Cellar. This gives the novel a feeling of being an ongoing story, rather than a seperate book. If you liked The Cellar, then this is a must read.... Read review

Advantages: Interesting and engaging plots and characters

...Atreides, 'The Old Duke' is killed in a bull-fight. Rather than have one lead character, 'House Atreides' covers several sub-plots which are packed full of politics, murders, survival and various other topics and themes. I won't go into great detail about all of them, but particular favourites of mine include how Duncan Idaho, a nine year-old prisoner on the Harkonnen home world, Giedi Prime, comes to serve 'House Atreides after escaping from a hunting party led by the Baron's nephew, Beast Rabban. Also, I enjoyed the sections about Pardot Keynes, the Imperial Planetologist assigned to Arrakis. As someone who has read all the other 'Dune' novels, (as well as several related books) I really enjoyed the back-stories that appear here. ...Euphoria: Very Best Of Uplifting House is worth getting if you like both house and dance music. If you're not used to listening to hard house music this is a nice introduction for you. I would describe it as our favourite dance tracks remixed with extra beats added. This album features some of the best dance tracks of the year and some of the older favourites as well. The good thing about this album is they have spread all the good songs throughout the CD. On some albums you tend to find disc one has the best tracks, and the others have a lot of unknown songs and artists. The playlist has been thought about. The mood of the album doesn't shift much at all as you are listening. The songs are pretty much all the same tempo, and you can easily recognise this is a Euphoria album. ...Take it from me: there's nothing in this world guaranteed to make you feel more of a man than drinking a pint of Beast. Just look at the name! Beast. BEAST! GRRRR. It doesn't matter how much of a weedy, pathetic wimp you are, once you have a solid pint of this lovely dark ale in your sweaty hand, you will feel able to wrestle a grizzly bear to the floor and stamp on it till it's dead. You won't be able to, of course. Beast isn't magic. The grizzly would rip you to shreds. But it's all about the feeling of testosterone-fuelled invincibility that it induces. I had my first pint of Beast last week at the Wetherspoon's in South Croydon. It was a Sunday afternoon, and it had been a heavy weekend of drinking. And I mean HEAVY. ...Okay i got a loan of this film from my cousin and when reading the back cover i wasn't so sure i would love this movie and much as other Disney movies like The Little Mermaid and The Jungle Book. The plot of the movie is a old woman comes to a castle one day and asks a young, handsome man to help her, him being selfish and unable to love tells her to go away, later that day the old lady puts a spell on the young man that he has to learn to love by his 21st birthday and by the time a rose given to him by the old lady wilts or he will be a beast forever, then a beautiful young woman with the name of Belle goes in search of her dad who on way to a inventors competition gets lost and finds this castle where a beast lives and holds him captive.
