Her father, who disapproves of his wife's way of life, sends her to learn from three libertines how life should be lived. The trio encourages the young girl to express all her desires and passions, and her ultimate hatred seems to be saved for her own mother. The virtuous woman is ridiculed and humiliated by everyone and then she is stripped, beaten, and punished by her daughter and her companions. Advantages: Wierd, arty, your friends won't have heard of it.
Disadvantages: Hopeless, muddled storyline; very unerotic.

...This is a movie that you might be lucky (or unlucky!) enough to find showing at your local art house cinema, if you have one. Made in 1992 and directed by Sato Hisayasu, it will probably attract film and media students, and, no doubt, the dirty mac brigade. The title "The Bedroom" comes from the name of the nightclub in the movie, which is the backdrop for many of the scenes. The movie is also known as Shisenjiyou no Aria (translation - "An aria on gazes"), and called "Unfaithful Wife: Shameful Torture" for US release - a rather more moralistic title, I feel. White, Sherbourne furniture - not wardrobes

Advantages: Made to fit
Disadvantages: No measurements on initial plan, designer didn't give full options of various height/depth/widths.

Lots of flexibility regarding height, width and depth but designer tends to draw what THEY like, where THEY want it, so be ASSERTIVE and ask loads of questions about alternatives/options/measurements/positioning. Initially, we nearly ended up with low level bedside cabinets, hadn't initially been told we could have more suitable mid level - all because designer drew what SHE likes!! Also had to absolutely INSIST she move kneehole dresser to where I wanted it as opposed to where she wanted to put to be "symetrical" - who cares, it's MY bedroom. She chose 500mm deep dresser top, same as existing for "more floor space" (as fitted butting right up to wall as opposed to Schreiber self assembly which had 5" gap behind it - because of previous rad position, which would be moved for Sharps furniture, thus closing that gap...

The dolls have a lovely bed to sleep in!

Advantages: Robust, excellent quality, pretty, safe
Disadvantages: You may feel that it is a bit expensive but you do get what you pay for

...My niece has a beautiful dolls house called the Marlborough Dolls House which is a John Crane Pintoy product ? in fact I wrote a review about it some time ago. There are various sets of furniture made in 1:12 scale available to fit in this, or indeed any other, dolls house including bathroom, living room, kitchen, nursery and bedroom furniture. Earlier this year she received the set of living room furniture which she loves playing with and then for her birthday she received the set of bedroom furniture which she loves just as much! I thought I had better tell you about it in case it was useful as a Christmas present idea! Since I hadn?t a clue how much it cost I have just searched via Google and found the set ranging from £14.99 at Mail Order Express, to £13.95 at Amazon, down to just £12 at www.kidsrooms.co.uk where they also...

Sleep on it, Maybe

Disadvantages: You'll feel the weaknesses of the plot the moment you leave the theater

...interested, unfortunately, after you leave the theater, you'll start wondering exactly how good this film really is. First of all, the title to the movie refers to a term used in lobster fishing. Apparently, the part of the trap where the lobster is caught is called "the bedroom" and they say that only two lobsters can fit in the bedroom. More than two in the bedroom, and one of the lobsters will certainly be injured. This is a key scene for the movie, but once we see this scene and hear about this, it is never referred to again in any way, shape or form. This is a real shame, since the metaphore could have become something very special for this film. The other thing that bothered me about this film was the under-use of Tomei. This amazing actress is practically dumped from the movie once her young boyfriend is out of the way. More focus...
