...This has been so hard, my ten favourite club anthems ever?! I don't know where to start, I mean some songs can have awful lyrics and/or music but are still special to you. Memories associated with a certain song can come back to you and make you feel happy or sad or whatever. I love clubbing and I love music so this op is a treat in itself for me. What defines a club anthem? Well for me they are tracks played in clubs (duh!) usually of the trancey/dancey variety. So forget about boybands/ girlbands and the manufactured rubbish. I'd describe my taste as pretty varied (my mate reckons its 'bloody weird' but what would a Steps fan know anyway?). These songs are special to me at this point in time. ...Well, this all depends on the kind of club you go to, doesn’t it. Knowing nothing of the dance/pop scene, I cannot write about club anthems as it is implied. Also, I don’t like the word ‘anthem’. So here is my ‘rock club anthems’, a collection of some of the better songs you are guaranteed to hear at a rock club. These aren’t necessarily my favourite songs but they are pretty good. Fear Factory – Lynchpin This is actually a superb song. With double speed kick drumming, great beat and superb guitars this is a truly great electro metal song. Will fill the dance floor with true metalheads playing air-guitar and head banging. “You can’t take me apart”. ...In the mad world of club land there is so many different styles of music varying from pop , house , Hardhouse , Garage , Trance , Old Skool etc. So choosing a top ten isn't a easy choice and because my music style sways more to the trance and hard house scene these choices wont be to everyones taste. This album is one of the largest collection of the best trance anthems ever to hit the shelves. I was going to try and write Top 10 songs of all time, but having eliminated my original list down to only 57 different tunes, I gave it up as a bad job. Instead, I’ve gone all specialist on you, and have decided to compile my Top Ten Club Anthems of all time. I love clubbing and have done ever since I was about 15. As I’ve got older, my musical tastes have diversified very little, and my cd collection still comprises nearly all club music. Having drafted my list, I have noticed a bias towards more recent stuff, for which I make no apologies – I think that the club music of the last few years is the best it has ever been. ...and which didn’t! Since then the children have had brilliant school reports which was really rewarding but also go me 2 more students! The previous children were aged 4, 6 and 10 and I now have a boy aged 10 and a girl aged 16! I now charge £10 for secondary school children and £5 for primary school children. Its so rewarding helping children learn and in terms of money its useful too! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The best job I have ever had! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Recently I applied for a job as a playworker at a holiday club for children with behavioural and other problems. Having had lots of experience working with children with such problems already I wanted to apply because I knew it was something I was good at. ...boys, dave seaman and steve Anderson.The remix gives this more of a solid frame with excellent variables of synthns and break down beats. 11 Outrage - Tall 'N' Handsome (Nush Radio Edit) (3:31) remix by Nush A weak tune to listen to with no real purpose its one of the worst tracks on the cd. ...in any clubs ive been to but I do know that this is quite a rare track so that may have something to do it. 9 William Orbit - Barbers Adagio For Strings - This is probably one of the biggest trance anthems ever. The actual Adagio for strings was the main track in the film Platoon and even without the tranced up version its excellent but the version by William Orbit is outstanding. This tune in my opinion never gets old and whenever its played it always the clubbers going. 10 Paul Van Dyke - For An Angel - Absolutely a club anthem and one of PVD best pieces of work. Although this tune isn’t played in many clubs today every now and then it will grace the decks of some DJ. This tune is so good due to the excellent piano rifts in it and the way the way the beat just thumps out at you it just makes you want to dance. So there you have... Read review

...I could easily name about 200 of my favourite club tracks. And I know that once I hit submit I will say to myself 'oh no, I forgot about...' So here goes anyway (In no particular order) Delerium - Silence Not that crap remix that made it into the charts, the proper original. Johnny shaker - Pearl River Not very well known but it should be cos it is an excellent track with good vocals. Thick Dick - Insatiable A more relaxed chilled out kind of tune, great for the start of the night. System F - Cry One of the best vocal house tracks I have ever heard. Lasgo - Something Cheesy, commercial dance at its best. Jinny - Keep Warm Really good old school track.
