...If you're starting out as a George Benson fan or just being a completist, this is definitely the compilation to go for! Perfect for summer days and really uplifting for the winter nights. I had this album on constant replay when I was revising for my exams this year and judging by my results, something inspired me! Whether you want to freak out or chill out, this is the album for you. If you were a fan of Michael Jackson's 'Off the wall' or anything Quincy Jones was producing in the late 70s/early 80s (Brothers Johnson, 'Ai No Corrida' etc.) you're bound to love 'Give me the night' or 'Love x Love.' However, this album has much more to give! ...is a coat you wear, twice a year". It's a very angry track. 5) One More Try My second favourite George Michael track. It's a beautiful ballad and the tone is very odd. It's about giving up and the stages we go through when we love someone. When is the best time to just call it a day? Who knows but this song is trying to answer those questions. "Maybe, just one more try". 6) A Different Corner A very unstructured ballad which seems to reflect the jarring feeling that being used by someone you thought loved you can bring. "I should go back to being lonely and confused". This was number one in 1985 and deservedly so. 7) Waltz Away Dreaming Toby Bourke has the most fantastic, gritty, gravelly voice. ...Here is an email that was sent to Bensons Beds regarding a faulty bed! A total sham! Dear Sirs, A few months ago, I purchased a Minster bedstead and mattress for £249.95, from your branch in Glasgow. On 17 August 2004, I contacted the Manager (Jeanette) to report a fault with the bed. She was unwilling to listen to my complaint and instead told me to contact Customer Services Department (CSD). On the same day, I telephoned the CSD, based in Scotland to report the faulty bed. Immediately I asked for a refund, but I was advised that they could only offer me a replacement bed, as they had no authority to offer refunds. However, in order for me to claim a refund, I would have to go back to the store where I purchased the bed originally. ...Although this review is primarily a moan at Benson’s Bed Shop, I have endeavoured to give a brief background of the shop and the products they sell. Unfortunately, I have already posted in the Buyer Beware section, so I have had to use this category for a rant. Last year our bed began to show signs of age.....you know the thing, you get out in the morning and have the imprints of the springs in your back….. My mother-in-law decided she would buy us a new bed for Christmas, so we duly trundled off to Bensons Beds in Coventry in November 2002. Bensons have stores all over the country, 220 of them to be precise, and pride themselves on being the largest bed retailer in the country. ...Recently went to the George Hotel in Colchester to a wedding reception (17 Feb). How this place got it's 3 stars I just don't know. The rooms are comfortable, but there is no shampoo, soap or anything else for the overnight last minute booking visitor. And try asking for these things - well, lets say the staff aren't that accommodating! A single costs £95.00 normally and we were very lucky in the fact that we got a £20 discount! The food was ok but the prices are astronomical compared to what you could get in the Travel Lodge just up the road! We finally sat down at just after 16.00 (after an extremely long wait) and were still waiting for our dessert hours later. The Bride constantly chased things up from the back rooms, making her flustered and by no means enjoying her special day. Champagne cocktails had been requested... Read review

...If value for your money and a quality of service are important to you then I advise that you do not spend your money at Benson Beds. My wife and I bought a new bed at our local branch in Christchurch for which we paid cash “up front.” When the product was delivered one of the integral drawers was badly manufactured and the wooden headboard was crushed out of shape and broken. It was damaged beyond repair. We called Benson’s Customer Services – no reply, just an answerphone! No reply was forthcoming to the message we left. We returned to the store of purchase and a replacement headboard was arranged by the store (who were also unable to contact Customer Services – just an answerphone) but this was badly split and also unserviceable. Advantages: Easy to use, versatile, cooks evenly and quickly...and it's healthier too.
Disadvantages: Drip tray doesn't always catch everything. Spatula is bendy and bun warmer a little small.

...George switched on. The lid has a “floating” hinged lid so that you can cook food of different thicknesses. I find this to one of the best features of my George because it means I can cook thick pieces of meat as easily as I can cook thin pieces of steak. The grill is very versatile! When I first purchased it friends at work said that they hadn’t bought one because they thought you could only cook things like sausages or burgers. I am pleased to report that you can cook a wide variety of things on your George.
