...Everyone has an opinion on Big Brother, regardless of whether you watch it or not. For some, it's entertaining. For others, it's pointless TV, watched by idiots, which is taking up time and money which could be used on other shows. ~~~ What's it About ? ~~~ Basically, a group of everyday people are put into a house which is completely covered by televsion cameras and microphones. The show then runs for a number of weeks (10+). The contestants participate in daily tasks which they must complete in order to gain a reward. They also get a main task which covers a few days, which depending on their performance, either earns them a food budget to buy what they like from the shopping list or earns them rice and other basic food. ...I'm a fan of Bill Bryson. I like his dry, acerbic wit, and the way he bombards the reader with lots of dry facts yet manages to still keep it entertaining. The latest book of his I read (although not the latest written), was Notes from a Big Country. As I said, delivering trivial facts and figures in an amusing fashion is Bryson's forte and when those facts are about the land of his birth (USA), and are compared then related to his once adopted homeland (UK), I can visualize him virtually drooling at the prospect. The Big Sleep

Advantages: (+) outstanding read (+) excellent and creative/unique plot (+) addictive
Disadvantages: (-) extremely confusing and difficult to keep track of (and to summarise in the review!)

This is actually the first Chandler novel to feature Philip Marlowe, the famous detective. This particular novel is notoriously cokmplex and difficult to follow though has been named as Chandler's best works. Not solely this, it was also awarded the TIME magazine award for Best 100 novels 1923-2005. The novel begins in mid-October. Philip Marlowe is hired by the old, ailing General Sternwood to help him "take care of" Arthur Gwynn Geiger. Mr Big needs Friends

Advantages: Good story, nice bright pictures, easy to read

...Well two weeks into starting school my middle son was excited as he got to bring his first reading book home but the following day he was more excited as he got another book bag which had a few reading books in for him to keep! Naturally when we got through the door we had to sit and read them together. The cover of this book s red and has a picture of a big gorilla on the left hand side wearing a suit and the title on the right hand side in nice big bright multicoloured letters. The back cover of the book has a blue background and a picture of Mr Big and a small monkey standing next to each other. There is also a few words about the story. Advantages: Great gameplay, nicely rendered stadiums, players and graphics, commentary that works with gameplay

In the beginning the game controls will take some time to learn but soon you will be ripping perfect fast balls at the hitter. Once you get the swing of the hitting you will be able to hit the elusive home-run. The key to The Bigs is to get the right player, be it pitcher or hitter to the plate, so check your player stats. Game play, sound and graphics is sweet and nicely rendered but the computer player can be tough to beat. Big Cook Little Cock!

...Big Cook Little Cook...... Big Cook Little Cook is a programme that is aired on the CBeebies channel and is aimed at pre-school age children. The show has two presenters one big cook names Ben and a small cook named Small. (Of course, he is not actually small in real life but they have got an average sized person but filmed him so he appears to be about 5 inches tall). These two cooks own a cafe where different characters come to eat different types of food. They have characters from al the major fairy tales and of course on their Christmas show Father Christmas came to eat in the cafe. The programme is a little like a cookery show for children but a lot of adult help is needed. Also a lot of the food that is made i should think is not overly nice as it is a bit of a mixture of things put together to make something suitable...

...I saw this in Tesco for £2.97 and thought it might pass away an afternoon during the school holidays. I was right. Tom Hanks was nominated for an Oscar for best actor for his role in this 1998 film. It might have only been made eight years ago, but boy, does Tom Hanks look young! It's 99 minutes long and PG rated (some scenes unsuitable for small children) It's the story of a 12 year old boy, Josh Baskin. At a fun fair he is knocked back by a girl (you knew a woman would be the cause of all this) and wishes he was big. Next morning, he wakes up to find he is 30. His friend, Billy, played by Jared Rushton, takes charge, helps him get to New York (it's obviously close) and find somewhere to stay. Then Josh gets a job at a toy company, and by a series of lucky coincidences, is promoted and ends up testing toys, earning...

The Big Sheep - Wow!

...The Big Sheep ? Wow! I was about 5 or 6 years old when I first went to the Big Sheep. We were on holiday in Devon and we passed it on the road and decided to call in. Oh what a great choice we made! The Big Sheep has a lot of different activities going around the place, but the one I remember distinctly was the sheep racing! Whoever invented that, is a genius. Anyway, recently, we were back holidaying in a place called Tintagel in Cornwall. Great place, but I?ll talk about that in another review. Anyway, we found out that the Big Sheep was only about an hour away, so we decided to go. But we were a bit hesitant when we got there. I am 17 years old now and my sister is 15, but the only other kids we could see were at least 10 years younger than us! So we were a bit hesitant to pay for something that we probably wouldn?t enjoy.
