Advantages: A Quentin Tarantino film with a great plot, and amusing blood
Disadvantages: Some people find it boring, but I don't understand it myself...

Advantages: Articulate, insightful, interesting

...Based on the principle that honesty is the best policy, I suppose it’s only fair to state right up front that I like Bill Clinton. I know, Bill has his faults—faults that would fill a chasm as deep and wide as the Great Rift Valley. Still, for those who don’t get tripped up by their own self-righteous rhetoric (and I’ve noticed that many of these have faults at least as great as Clinton’s), it’s easy to like the guy. He’s charming in a well-educated, good-ole-boy, Southern kind of way. He’s intelligent, even brilliant. He’s selfish, but not so selfish that he can’t find time to think about and help others. For all his faults, Bill Clinton was a good president, skilled in the art of political compromise. Like him or not, he is one of the political giants of our time... Read review

Advantages: It's Bill Bailey and there are some classic tracks such as Insect Nation
Disadvantages: Doesn't last long, and many of the tracks are poor choices

...I've been a fan of Bill Bailey since watching the comedy Black Books (if you haven't seen it you are seriously missing out - you might like to check out my review of season 1 at http://dvd.ciao.co.uk/BlackBooksSeries1DVDReview5616196) and love his DVDs (they often come out when we're drunk and have friends over) as they are absolutely hilarious. I would love to see Bill Bailey live, but haven't got round to it. Anyway I was perusing my extensive Amazon wishlist one day, and found that his "Ultimate Collection Ever" was reasonably priced on Amazon Marketplace and since it had been lurking on my list for 2 years I felt it was time to make my purchase. Advantages: Uma Thurman and Sonny Chiba.
Disadvantages: Overlong, Doesn't maintain interest, some scenes are too long.

...Right from the off, "Kill Bill Volume 1" pulls no punches, and the black and white introduction sees a pregnant "The Bride" (Uma Thurman) get shot in the head as part of a bloody massacre on her wedding day. Four years later, and The Bride awakens from her coma and as her memories of her wedding day return and the realisation that she has lost her child, she starts off on a quest for revenge against her old mentor and lover, Bill, and his Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, a group in which she used to belong. That's the plot, pure and simple. "Kill Bill Vol. 1" is Quentin Tarantino's first film in six years since "Jackie Brown" and has been eagerly awaited for some time. As I consider myself to be quite a large Tarantino fan, I settled down to watch this with high hopes, but unfortunately the film did not satisfy me at all... Read review

Advantages: Bloody, violent, action-fest
Disadvantages: Limited plot, part 1 of 2 films

...In a remote Texan chapel, an atrocity has been committed. A wedding party has been brutally slain, their bodies battered, bloodied and riddled with bullet holes.
