Black Label Society - Sonic Brew
Review of Sonic Brew - Black Label Society by
sonicbrew
Advantages: Zakk Wyldes Brutal 4-some at its greatest
Disadvantages: Overall audio mix may be too brutal for some speakers
...into each album, sonicbrew being no exception. begining with a soulful piano intro, and throwing the listener into a powerful and heartfelt 4 minutes of trademark black label crushing, and destroying riffs, and after a somewhat impressive solo, zakk leaves you on the piano to fade.
6. Mother Mary
BLS putting the bass to use again with turbo distortion for an intro, and to lead the drums on every verse making each chorus that much more crushing with each chorus. this song really proves where zakk gets his vocal stylings, pure home grown southern rock n f***in' roll
7. Beneath The Tree
ok, the last 20 minutes has been pretty heavy so time for a calm, slow track, but with the band wielding the motto "Strength, determination, mercilessness, forever" that would be getting off too easily, and 2:30, the band come round again n smack you...

A Classic Black
Review of Johnnie Walker Black Label by
kenny_khaw
Advantages: Better than the Red Label
Disadvantages: Lack in smoothness
...Well, i certainly do not want to talk about the history of Johnnie Walker, as you may find that i might be exaggerating on it. It's the best to visit www.johnniewalker.com if you want to know the history. Moreover, i might be just plagiarising the whole history from the website. It's best not for me to touch on it and i prefer going straight to the whisky itself.
The first Johnnie Walker Black Label that I have was the one which my dad gave to me a few years back. It was an old black label bottle. It is not in production anymore and to get his old classic look would be difficult. I never opened it, until today, and I still keep this masterpiece locked in my cupboard. Anyway, my actions certainly do not prevent myself from tasting it. Although I did not want to open it, I eventually bought myself the new look of black label from...

Black OR Pink!
Review of LG Black Label Shine KE970 by
Haxrskilz
Advantages: Beautiful phone, great applications, great calling features.
Disadvantages: Gets dirty easily, scrolling is difficult, texting is slow.
...This Christmas, I tore off the wrapping paper to find a beautifully simply decorated box, closed uniquely using magnets. Within the box I found a pink phone and numerous accessories. I know what you're thinking. Pink. But this phone is black! I hear you cry. Yes, I know it's black. But mine is pink, and I love it. Not only does it have numerous helpful features within the phone; alarm clocks, various connecting devices, video and camera - but the phone also had a neat reflective screen which came in great handy when I had no mirror available. So what, you say, why would a male need such a phone?
Here's why.. This phone is a masterpiece of modern art in the form of a phone. The applications are smoothly made, and each roll of the scroller makes the phone seem like something totally out of this world. The graphics on the phone...

Carling! MMMMMMMMMMM!
Review of Carling Black Label Lager by
damob123
Advantages: It tastes great
Disadvantages: It gets you drunk
...the auto plant into a brewery and to train American personnel to operate it as the Brewing Corporation of America. The Brewing Corporation of America tried at first to just brew Carling's Red Cap Ale, but sales were too slow to maintain the brewery and sales didn't climb until the introduction of Black Label . The philosophy behind Black Label was to have a high quality lager that was available nationwide, but with a locally brewed budget price. The strategy worked and the next several decades led to rapid growth and expansion for the brewery and the Carling Black Label brand.
At first, the company's products were sold in northern Ohio only. Expansion throughout Ohio and into neighboring states followed as the popularity of its Black Label Beer, and Red Cap Ale created new markets.
After World War II, the Brewing Corporation of America...

Diamond Label?
Review of Rosemount Estate Diamond Label Chardonnay by
malekowie
Advantages: Nice taste, very pleasant wine
Disadvantages: Price
..., Pinot Noir, Riesling, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and Semillon.
The Rosemount wines were introduced to UK market in earlier '90 and successfully established its position, especially Chardonnay thank to rich texture and standard application of American oak.
Bottle
As for the New World the bottle of Chardonnay is much different to traditionally looking bottle of a French wine. There is no foil on top of the bottle and the cork is made of plastic with a wax seal on top of it. The plastic corks do not downgrade the taste and smell of the wine, on the contrary seals bottles much better than traditional cork and prevents wine from going corked.
The colour of the bottle is light green with letter R on the top part it. The Label colours are yellow and red with black and golden letter and Rosemount Estate Crest. Overall look...

Party With The Captain
Review of Captain Morgan Black Label by
vinodgm
Advantages: Superlative taste and flavour, Rich and Dark, Creates a wonderful creamy head when had with Coke
Disadvantages: Over indulgence is to easy, As with all alcohol must be had in moderation
...Captain Morgan epitomizes what Rum is all about. From the famous old pirate comes some of the finest selection of rum.
Captain Morgan may not be the fastest selling rum in the world but it certainly is the brand that provides you with the ultimate choice and these include:
Original Spiced
Silver Spiced
Captain Morgan Parrot Bay
Private Stock
Black Label
Personally I have had the pleasure of tasting the Original Spiced and the Black Label varities.
From 1990 to 1998 (eight years) my drink of choice or the one that I used to consume on a regular basis was rum and my brand of choice was Captain Morgan Black Label.
I still drink rum today but have changed brands to Bacardi White. This change did not have anything to do with any preference for Bacardi but was rather a change for personal health reasons. I will go more...

Just as if of Watneys I have drunk
Review of Carling Black Label Lager by
dave27
Advantages: Beer makes you queer
Disadvantages: Head doesn't get you head
...Continuing the dave27 campaign against the mundanity brought to the Ciao site by them upstairs' decision to 'adjust' the payment regime...
Last night I was awash with legs, today I am legless...
In the 70's, it was Watneys Red Barrel with its flat fizzy pop appeal - but the 80's and 90's belonged to Carling Black Label with that luvverly theme song 'CARLING BLACK LABEL' (what else?) sung in a very loud voice on the way home from the pub or watching the ads in the middle of Crossroads...
I must have got drunk more times on Carling Black Label lager than any other drink - don't know why I bothered really because it was just like yellow pop, all flat but quite bloating, not a very nice taste at all and left you with a bad head the next day, rather like Ciao's recent meddling with what had been a lovely website, never working very...

Black American
Review of Jim Beam Black by
kenny_khaw
Advantages: taste, quality, famous, rare
Disadvantages: expensive, packaging
..., Frankfurt, Kentucky USA, and is under the name of James B.Beam Distilling Company.
Previously I had already tasted the original Jim Beam (white label) and I find it relatively tasty and good. However, after tasting the black, this is certainly more flavourful and tasty than the white label.
The presentation: It basically comes in a black cheap cardboard box. The bottle looks classic, solid and the contents you’ll find it very dark. The cap is made of plastic and it only has one large black label on the body of the bottle. The label looks just like that. (Please refer picture below). You’ll probably notice 6 old chaps’ pictures on the left side.
The black label is more aromatic, fuller bodied and very distinctive. Basically it goes:
Contents: This whiskey is made mostly of Corn, at least 51% and the other 49% would be rye, malted...

BLACK ICE - QUITE NICE!
Review of Smirnoff Black Ice by
Kyz22
Advantages: nice, good price, refreshing
Disadvantages: too strong for some.
...Another sweet concoction aimed at the text message generation that causes them to do bizarre things after a few too many. Basically, this is the epitome of alcopops. As with large bottles of Vodka, Smirnoff red label is the bog standard £10 a litre stuff whilst the black label is the triple distilled version that doesn’t leave your mouth feeling as if it has been swilled out with cleaning fluid. Smirnoff ice is made with the red label vodka, black ice is made with the black label vodka, and so it is purer and stronger.
- Price/ Size -
The alcopop comes in two sizes of bottle, as is the trend now. Mostly you will find the 275 ml bottles (normal alcopop size) but you will also find the larger ones, litre bottles I think (not entirely sure), these are the same size as the large bottles of WKD. For the smaller bottles you will pay £1...

Blended or Not Blended
Review of Johnnie Walker Black Label by
SingMaltMan
Advantages: Good Brand Name
Disadvantages: Blended Whisky
...Black Label was my favourite until I tried single malt whiskies some 20 years ago. Since then, blended whiskies have been taken out from my list.
Blended whiskies use more than one grain for malting, such as wheat, rye, maize, and barley, while single malt whiskies use only barley. Blended whiskies require 3 years to mature. However, a single malt whisky takes at least 10 years to reach it maximum condition for drinking.
Don't mixed up the term blended with vatted. Most single malts are vatted before bottling, that is, several barrels of the same single malt of the same year are "married" together to obtain consistency.
Almost all signature blended whiskies are "vatted" with certain percentage of single malt whiskies. The famous Vat 69 is a classic example of a successful vatted blended whisky. About 30 years ago when I...
