...saw this book when I was buying fresh free range eggs at a farm. I paid 50p for the book. I remembered Trinny and Susannah being interviewed by Jonathan Ross last year and they were talking about this book. If I remember correctly, the body shape bible was published and launched in late 2007. I am not surprised to see this book at the farm shop, it is not a brand new but the book look like it has not been read. I decide to buy the book and do a review on it. The Body Shape Bible is a hard cover book with Trinny and Susannah fronting the cover. My first impression when I flipped through the book was it have lots of pictures, it is printed in nice paper and there are not many words. ...Shape is not a magazine I would normally chose to buy, but when a copy ends up in my hands, as it invariably does, I usually flick through before chucking it under my bed where all things that need to be banished from sight but still can't, for some unknown reason, be thrown away, live. Published monthly by Dennis Publishing, Shape is, as the name would suggest, concerned with all things healthy and fitnessey. They're a little over the top with their accepting yourself and worshipping life emphasis - all their sections have the L word in the title - love your health, love your body, love your world and so on. Unlike some other magazines, this one manages to strike a nice balance between health issues (good detail, but only about those affecting 20 - 40 year old women really), fashion (not too many pages, "average" sized models... Advantages: very effective aerobic workout, easy to follow
Disadvantages: quite dated, too much floor work

...When I was 17 I made a new years resolution to get fit. I borrowed an exercise video from my Mam, called 'Slimline - the complete works' and did it every day for 3 months. In hindsight this may have been a bit excessive, but it worked and not only did I lose loads of weight, but I became more toned and generally fitter. This video was also responsible for a sort of obsession with me, as I now own a huge amount of exercise videos and DVD's as I think I'd be too embarrassed to go to a gym or exercise class. Advantages: Starts well, some was scientific...the literature was interesting!

...As promised (or was it threatened?) to a certain yoghurt loving, weight reducing Ciao person I have today decided to review Shape's Low fat 'Fruit Juice' Strawberry mousse. Well, haven't decided to review it as such but the bloody thing needed to be eaten today so I was forced ok. Shape Mousse comes in a rather boring, see through plastic tub. Weirdly enough not a slender, tall tub that you would expect from a diet dessert, oh no, a small, squat, rounded, fat little tub. As if I needed reminding of my body shape. The peel away foil lid has a picture on it of a big, fat, juicy strawberry and the words Fruit Juice Mousse printed across it in huge blue lettering. Just above it in teeny weeny letters are the words low fat, in fact so small and skinny I almost missed them altogether. Onviously it also bears the brand name 'Shape... Read review

...really love about the Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances is the packaging and even with the Body Lotion the packaging is still top notch as it is really creative and decorative in appearance. Just like the perfume Jan Paul Gaultier Classique shower gel is supplied In a cylindrical tin container which in my opinion looks like an oversized tin of baked beans the only apparent difference is the fact that the Jean Paul Gaultier name is embellished onto the tin container. Inside the tin container you will find a well presented female torso which is in-fact the bottle of Body Lotion. The shape of the torso is of a voluptuous woman and not your typical size 0 model, the only difference between the packaging for the Body Lotion and the perfumes is the fact that the shower gel bottle is made from plastic and not glass and it has less shape and design... Advantages: Fantastic Fun and Witty Routines
Disadvantages: Having to watch her helpers as they fake smile through the pain!

...that you learn are then developed into a harder over 30 min routine in level 2. The best steps are the Side Salsa, Criss Cross and Samba! It certaininly gets your heart rate going so make sure you have some water handy! Being a big fan of dancing I loved this sections as each step runs straight into another and if you do it enough times you will learn the routines and can do them to your own music which has a similar beat! Both these routines are tiring but if you can manage the 2 together, Rosemary claims you can burn up to 500 calories (which is a serious insentive to buy and do the DVD) The toning sections that follow are fantastic as you can use any of the ideas or pieces of the routine at any time during the day. It is very educational with regards to the way to use a band or baked bean tins to shape your body! The GI food section... Read review

...i have been useing shape pacth for the last 3 mths and have up till now lost 3 stone in weight. its a pacth that you stick on your body after a shower and it speeds up the burning of fat. the price is not to bad at £30 a mounth, as long as the lost weight stays off i brought mine through a local company here in taunton, i dont know how easy it is to get hold off in other parts of the country there are several web sites that you can order from www.shapepatch.com or www.tauntonweb.co.uk/shapepatch.htm i use the local one as i dont have to weight for it to be delivered from the states which is good the down side is that it wont work if your a heavy drinker, i have allso found that sticking the patch on differant parts of the body each day helps keep up the weight loss over all i think that its a good prouduct ps as yet i have... Advantages: New way of exercising
Disadvantages: Could be harder as it is you have to adapt it yourself to work harder

...This is excellent fun and very dance based, which is good to get the heart racing. This box set contains DVDS, which can either be done on your own or with your friends. You really need to have a basic rhythm to be able to do this and some of my friends cannot get their heads round the cha cha cha between every step! Rosemary and her team in both DVDs are friendly and helpful, working at different levels to enable the exerciser to adopt the level of workout which is applicable to them. There are various levels on the DVDs which can be done individually for a short workout - or put the routines from one DVD together and you can burn up to 500 calories!
