The Body Shop Aloe Gentle Exfoliator
Review of The Body Shop Aloe Gentle Exfoliator by
lawjlove
Advantages: Great for sensitive skin
Disadvantages: None
...As with The Body Shop Aloe foaming facial wash I also highly recommend the Aloe gentle Exfoliator as well.
Again this is a fantastic product for anyone with sensitive skin; it polishes your skin to reveal smooth skin without any horrible irritation.
Product
It is a gentle exfoliator which contains natural aloe which contains an anti-irritant, the aloe itself contains 70 essential elements that work in combination to help soothe and moisturise skin that is prone to sensitivity, it is colour, fragrance and preservative free.
The aloe used in this particular product is one of the Body Shops community Trade products and comes from Guatemala, so whilst purchasing this product you are giving something back to help others that are doing all the hard work providing us with these fantastic ingredients.
The exfoliator lifts away those...

The Body Shop_ Aloe Soothing Day Cream
Review of The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream by
Jayne27
Advantages: Soft, Smooth, nourished,noticable results
Disadvantages: Small amount for the price
...Well after many previous purchases of skin moisturiser's and many dissapointment's after use, I finally came across The body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream.
After visiting the body shop for a much wanted effective cream, I looked through the many ranges to decide on this one. I am so glad i did.
Unlike some moisturiser's which leave your pores feeling clogged up, This is totally the opposite. It leave's your skin feeling hydrated and smootly soft and nourished.
Having consisting of Aloe Vera, It really soothes the skin, and makes it also very suitable for sensitive skin type's.
It also consists of Sesame oil which softens, Restore's and protects your skin, and Oat extract which calms the skin.
I apply it before putting on my make up, So my skin remains nourished and soft beneath. You only need to apply with a minimum amount...

Aloe Soothing Day Cream
Review of The Body Shop Aloe Vera Moisture Cream by
chellbian
Advantages: light, non greasy, good for spotty skin
Disadvantages: none that I could find
..., which is probably why it is so good on tempramental skin like mine. Although it is not a rich cream it DOES still moisturise any dry areas within one or two applications. The smell is non-offensive and does not leave a smell on your skin. The non-greasy formula allows make-up to sit nicely on top of it.
All in all, I cannot complain about this product and will continue to use it on my face. When this pot runs out, I shall be rushing to my local Body Shop to buy a new one!...

ALOE VERA - CURE ALL
Review of Aloe Vera by
phoenixgreen
Advantages: ALMOST MIRACULOUS HEALING PROPERTIES
Disadvantages: DOESN'T TASTE GREAT, CAN BE EXPENSIVE TO BUY FRESH
...is full of vitamins, minerals and sugars, as well as enzymes and sallcylic acid. This is a strange compound that works like natural aspirin, as it has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. So it will soothe inflamed skin and protect against bacterial infections. Perhaps most notably, one of the many minerals in the plant is called Magnesium Lactate. This stops the release of Histamine, which is of course what your body produces when you're having an allergic reaction. The first time I ever used an Aloe plant was to soothe the itching caused by a very nasty midge bite, and I was amazed at the instant pain relief supplied obviously by this little mineral. Many of the vitamins and minerals also help to boost the immune system, meaning the body has more power to fight infection and heal itself...

Review of The Body Shop Aloe Cooling Body Gel by
nursie_nursie
Advantages: Sinks into skin in seconds, gentle.
Disadvantages: No scent, is that a good or a bad thing?
...that it is particularly cooling but the feel of it is very nice indeed, I am now sorry that I had overlooked it in favour of scents.
This is a great idea if you struggle to find time to moisturise your body where you just don't have time to bother applying creams where you need to wait for them to dry before dressing.
Each bottle contains 250ml and comes in at a cost of £8.50, not exactly cheap but effective and soothing. The fact that you only need a tiny amount to cover a large area makes this better value than it seems at first glance too.
Scent isn't always important and this gel shows that. A great product that can be used by anyone and everyone, I highly recommend it.
The Body Shop does a whole range of Aloe products for sensitive skin.
Aloe Eye Defence £8.50
Aloe Lip Treatment £6.00
Aloe Gentle Facial Wash £6.50

Aloe, Aloe, Aloe!
Review of Forever Living Aloe Propolis Creme by
AJ26
Advantages: Excellent moisturiser, good for eczema
Disadvantages: Cost
...I bought the Aloe Propolis Creme from a friend at work who had started up as a distributor for Forever Living a company who sells Aloe Vera Products. She has severe eczema and recommended this cream. I will tell you a little about the company and the properties of Aloe so that you understand a little more about this cream.
The Company
=
Forever Living is an American company who are the world's largest grower, processor and distributor of Aloe Vera products. Their products are sold in over 90 countries. The products are not available in the shops but are instead sold by individual distributors either through a party sale or direct from distributor to customer. They do have a website but the UK version is currently undergoing work. Many so-called Aloe Vera products on sale in shops actually have very little Aloe...

My new best friend!
Review of The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Night Cream by
nursie_nursie
Advantages: Great for sensitive skin, really soothing and moisturising, NOT OILY!!
Disadvantages: Can't fault the cream but the packaging is a bit boring.
...skin products, it has soothing properties as well as being very moisturising. In this product there are also Shea butter and Sesame oils to add to the moisturising effects.
I have to recommend this product, how could I not when a small sample pot made me go out and buy a full size pot?!

Cool as a cucumber, well, actually as an aloe...
Review of Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel by
Hezoid
Advantages: Very cooling and soothing. Multi-purpose!
Disadvantages: Can be a bit pricey and may be hard to find.
...that Wilkinsons do too, and I think even some supermarkets now sell it too.
All in all it’s not too difficult to get your hands on this product, though not all shops seem to stock the full Banana Boat range, so you may need to shop around to find the exact product you’re looking for.
PACKAGING:
This product comes in a clear plastic bottle with yellow and blue writing on the front and white writing on the back. My bottle has a bright yellow screw-cap lid with a little flip up squirty spout, though I do believe that some bottles have white pump dispensers on them. I’m not sure if it’s because they’ve started putting the pumps on new bottles, or if there’s a difference between the bottle’s sold in the UK and USA. So anyway, you might see either type of lid on the bottle you buy! Banana Boat aloe Vera...
