...I bought the Mango Body Butter at a Body Shop party. I'd seen them in the body shop before but never bought one after thinking they seemed a bit overpriced…but we all got a bit carried away buying things, plus it was my friend hosting her first Body Shop party so I wanted her to feel like she'd done well! At the party a strawberry sample of the butter had been passed around. It was far too sweet for my liking, but I really liked the texture and decided to buy one in another flavour. I chose Mango as I usually go for fruity, refreshing body lotions. It was £10 for a 200ml tub. Packaging The body butter arrived about a week later. I really liked the packaging, it came in a big orange round pot, with a big picture of a mango on the top of the lid, with the body shop logo on the middle and 'Mango Body Butter' written in white... ...I have tried quite a few body butters and rich body lotions, from a variety of different shops, as I have very dry skin that requires a lot of moisturising. The range of body butters from The Body Shop are very good quality. They are quite expensive, retailing at £12.00 for a tub containing 200g, but they can often be found at a reduced price in the sale, usually half the normal price. The mango body butter has a delicious fruity tropical fragrance, and really seems to smell of fresh mangos, and is great for the summer or to take on holiday. The body butters are available in a smaller size of 50g too, for £5.00, and these sizes are perfect for holidays, short breaks and if you just want to try it out. ...I really like The Body Shop, and have used their products since I was a teenager. The Body Shop seems to have become rather expensive in recent years, so I have not shopped there as much, as I am on a reduced income since having my daughter eighteen months ago. I tend to buy items when there is a sale on, with products often half price (there is a sale at the moment). I have tried quite a few of the body butters, and they have all been really nice, usually with a lovely delicious, fruity fragrance and a thick, rich texture. The body butter costs £12.00 for a 200ml tub, which is quite expensive, but £6.00 for the same amount in the sale is good value, as it is very good quality. ...This body butter is aboslutely fantastic..........it smells really nice good enough to eat. This particular product is quite think in content however is not greasy or to difficult to rub in to your skin......it is great to use after you have exfoliated with a brush, glove etc in the bath or shower....it mositurises your skin very well. Did you know that also of famous celebrities use the body shop body butters and they dont have a bad word to say about them, some of these celebs include the likes of Angelina Jolie, and Posh and Becks. This product contains community trade products (similar to fair trade) they purchase the products from people for a fair price and all their ingredients are of the highest quality and contain all natural ingredients, the container is also recyclable. ...Recently when I was in our local Hospital for a tour of the Combined Labs, I stopped off at the Body Shop which is in the building. Rather, my friend went to buy something and I had a look. She was offered 20% off with the production of the ID as she is a Nurse. I was far too stingy, considering that if I bought anything (which I couldn`t as I had no money), I was bound to be able to buy it cheaper on Ebay. ...Body shop Satsuma Body Butter. £12.00 for 200mls. This review started life as a wee orange tub of stuff that I tried and thought it was so good I would review it. It actually turned out to be, for me, hours of poring over the internet finding out fascinating things about the main ingredient which is Shea butter and when I started researching the other ingredients I found lots of interesting facts about the moisturising qualities that most of the ingredients in this product have, some of them even say they help stretch marks, guess I'll be buying a big tub! ...This is part of a new special range at the Body Shop for the upcoming festive season - the range includes hand wash, shower gel, soal, bath melt and home fragance oil. Being a fan of the Body Shop's body butters, and a regular user of their Vanilla Eau de Toilette, I decided to try this product as it was a new scent. I'd previously been using a cheaper moisturiser scented with vanilla which had just run out. ***The smell*** The smell is INCREDIBLE. It is obviously vanilla, but it also contains undertones of cinnamon, orange and ginger. Its a true Christmas scent, heady, musky, warm and spicy. ...Body shop – Nut body butter 2 for £17 300ml If some of you have read my previous review about the Avon range Planet Spa, you may realise I am a bit partial to Shea butter products. I think it’s a combination of the smell and the fact that it seems almost edible, despite the fact that it’s clearly not! I was given a selection pack of Body Butter products from the Body Shop for Christmas. I had previously gone into our local BS and tested some of their range, and couldn’t decided which one I liked best, so I thought a ‘selection pack’, similar to what you get with chocolate bars (and that’s another story), would be the best option. ...Not too long ago I was shopping at Royal Quays (which is a place that sells designer stuff and well known products at a fraction of their cost). I found myself a little pot of this, and instead of costing the normal £4, I got it for £1.50, since that day I have been hooked. I had seen the larger pots for sale for quite a steep £10, and had never got round to buying one, well yesterday I bought a large 200ml tub for £4.50 instead of £10, I love a bargain! The Body Butter comes in a white plastic circular tub. The top of the tub has a sticker with the product name and a picture of some beans on it. The tub is quite plain and simple, but I can’t fault it. The type of Body Butter that I bought is suitable for Normal to Dry Skin.
