Tea Tree Oil Face Mask: Terrific!!
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Face Mask by
louxlou1
Advantages: works wonders!!
Disadvantages: can't think of any!!
...My sister bought me The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil Face Mask for Christmas, and I admit that it was one of the most satisfying beauty products that I recieved this year. The 100ml pot, a squashed cylindrical shape, is peppermint green in colour with a black lid. The instructions for use can be found on the underside of the pot.
This clay-based face mask is designed for normal, oily or blemished skin. I have found that it works really well on my face because my skin is not the same all over, meaning that some parts are oily, another has blemishes, and the rest is normal. An improvement in my overall complexion can be seen immediately after I remove the mask.
The mask is easy to use (probably very similar to most face masks.) Just smooth onto your face and neck after cleansing (avoiding lip and eye area) and leave it for ten...

The Mask
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Face Mask by
neenn
Advantages: Easy to use, lasts a long time, cleanses and purifies your skin.
Disadvantages: Looking very ugly with it on & slightly dries out my skin.
...be allergic to the stuff so wiped it off quickly but since then I have been informed that this is a sign that it's actually working.
The recommended time for keeping the mask on is 5 - 10 minutes and as long as you avoid a mirror or young children, for fear of scaring the pants off them, the 10 minutes is fine.
The Body Shop state that this cream does not dry on your face, but this hasn't been my experience of it. It didn't dry all over but certain patches certainly did become dry. Not I hasten to add an uncomfortable dry feeling so that you can't actually move your face or speak, as has been the experience I have had with some face masks!
To wash it off isn't as easy as applying it. The parts that had dried needed a little bit more rubbing, not harsh rubbing though and I tend to use a flannel now to get it off but be warned the cream does...

The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask
Review of The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask by
BananaNoodle
Advantages: Smells nice, warming feels nice, leaves skin smooth.
Disadvantages: Difficult to remove.
...I noticed this in the Body Shop (which is actually quite hard as the packaging is really plain (see picture!) and thought I'd give it a go.
It's for all skin types and contains no added colour of fragrance so I thought this would be good for my skin which can occassionaly react badly to facemasks. I'd try a tester of this before purchasing as it gets warm which may not suit all skins.
Before using the mask I washed my face with water (you have to wet your face for the mask to react with the water and become warm) and then I just smeared it on. It says to apply a generous layer but the mask is quite thick so I'd say it is a bit hard to cover your face without using a generous layer so I don't know why they put that!
The mask smells lovely, and as it sits on your face it reacts with the water and you can feel the warming...

Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask
Review of The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink In Moisture Mask by
BananaNoodle
Advantages: Moisturises. Smells nice.
Disadvantages: Tingles. Sticky.
...I received a 20ml sample of this in a set as a gift and have saved it until my usual mask ran out. I thought it was about time I gave it a try and here's what I thought of it.
The mask reminds me of a very thick night cream that doesn't absorb very easily. It's light pink in colour and smells slightly of roses.
Putting it on is straight forward enough - I just smeared it on like any other face mask. There are no special precautions such as avoiding eyes written on my sample pot but I decided it was probably best to avoid the area directly under my eyes. When I first applied the mask it all got absorbed very quickly so I decided I'd better apply some more.
When the mask was on it made my skin feel very strange indeed. Almost as if it was chilling my skin and there was a slightly unpleasant tingling sensation which had me worried...

Warming Mineral Mask by Body Shop
Review of The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask by
lawjlove
Advantages: Warms really well good for all skin types
Disadvantages: Slighly expensive
...hand etc before applying to the skin*** and also do a sensitivity test before using all over.
I also use this product on the tops of my arms and chest to give a deep cleanse to those areas that seem to be neglected.
The mask is available through the Body Shop and the Body Shop at Home Consultants, comes in a tube of 100ml and contains all natural ingredients. The packaging is recyclable and supports the body shops five core values.
Slightly expensive at £7.00 however is a fab product and works great on all skin types, lasts quite a long time because I would only suggest using it once a week and you only need to apply a small amount to the areas that your want cleanse....

Body Shop Blue Corn 3-in-1 Deep Cleansing Mask
Review of The Body Shop Blue Corn Scrub Mask by
Tremmy
Advantages: Great value, effective skin cleanser and toner, easy to use, first-class.
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
...The Body Shop's Blue Corn Deep Cleansing Mask is a remarkable product. It's still great value for money even though it's now retailing at £7.50 per pot, it's easy to use, smells nice and, best of all, it really does make a difference to the way your skin looks. Well, it does to mine at any rate.
If you are one of the multitude of people who haven't retained that flawless velvet skin of your youth as you've moved into adulthood, the blue corn cleanser is probably a godsend. I tend to have quite visible pores around the central area of my face - forehead, nose, chin; and by using the cleanser just once a day first thing in the morning, my skin looks clearer, healthier and (don't ask me how) the pores are about 95% less visible.
I usually just use it as a straightforward substitute for soap or facial cleanser and give it about...

SERIOUS face mask, NOT for the faint of face...
Review of The Body Shop Blue Corn Scrub Mask by
sparkydog
Advantages: Leaves your skin seriously cleansed, smooth and bright, interesting product.
Disadvantages: Pretty strong, not suitable for sensitive or even non-greasy skin
...your daily cleanser, it can be a useful idea to use a face mask, which is designed to sit on your face (oooh Matron!) for a while and draw out impurities and deep-down dirt and grease that's built up over the week, usually using some absorbent ingredient such as clay to "suck" it out (Ooo-err! Sorry I've been watching too many Carry On films today!). These are great for removing deep-down muck, but they don't do a lot to get rid of grease-clogged old skin cells, which sometimes need a bit more persuasion to depart from your skin.
This is where an exfoliant comes in. Both of these products should be used 1 to 2 times a week as an extra "treat" or "service" for your skin.
If your skin is as greasy as mine, then this product is one of the more interesting products in the Body Shop range, a survivor from the earlier age of The Frizzy Haired...

Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask - I love it!
Review of The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask by
debbsfranklin
Advantages: Clean, soft, healthy skin
Disadvantages: none
...Not one for a gimic the plain packaging actually encouraged me to buy the product. As a firm believer of "it's what's inside that's important", I wasn't let down by this face mask at all.
The tube is pale greeny-grey with Green writing on it and now has a clear plastic cap (previously the cap was an opaque dark green which I preferred as it didn't show any mess but never mind!) and the standard size is 100ml. This amount easily lasts me 2 or 3 months with 2 applications a week, and therefore at around £6 this product is great value for money at around 25pence per application.
The main advertised ingredient is Kaolin Clay to deep cleanse the skin and it seems to do exactly what it says on the tin, well tube! I find my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed and can see the dirt being lifted from my skin!
The product says suitable...

Fantastic Face Mask
Review of The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask by
suziemurphy
Advantages: Feels lovely as it warms up on your face
Disadvantages: None
...Body Shop warming mineral mask is quite simply fantastic. As far as Im concerned using a face mask is usually a bit of a chore..not this one.You slap it on to a wet face in the bath and it heats up upon application, its heavenly.Leave it on to work its magic about 5 minutes and the best bit is you dont need a hammer & chisel to remove it as its not one of those ones that sets like hospital plaster.Simply rinse it off and hey presto,a soft, smmoth and glowing complexion!Good for all skin types and doent make your skin feel tight or irritated. It doesnt cost the earth, either. An absolute treasure amongst face masks!...

Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist
Review of The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist by
kernow21
Advantages: Refreshing and cheaper than a primer.
Disadvantages: None really.
...I bought this product because I was initially looking for a primer to go under my make up to keep my my make up in place all day. When I was at university I was on a Performing Arts course with a lot of practical classes and there was also a lot of time spent in hot and stuffy lecture theatres and classrooms. I found that by the afternoon all my make up had come off except my mascara and I thought it looked scruffy. So I went out to find a primer to keep my make up in place. The only ones I could really find were quite expensive so I went and asked in The Body Shop to ask if they did a primer and the lady said she didn't think so. Later that evening I was double checking on The Body Shop website when I came across this product and I noticed it said 'excellent for fixing make up'. So the next day I went out and bought some. I also noticed...
