Reviews of the body shop oil
I'm sold on this BODY SHOP body oil.
Review of The Body Shop Coconut Dry Oil Mist by
pat175
Advantages: SILKY SMOOTH SKIN
Disadvantages: NONE.........
...I’m a believer in taking care of my skin, after all, it has to last us a lifetime – I must have used gallons of moisturiser over the years - so I was surprised that I missed this excellent product.
I love what The Body Shop stands for: no animal testing, no artificial colours, and no preservatives.
So it is with this product.
They buy the sesame oil from Nicaragua, through a scheme called Community Trade This ensures that the growers, not the middlemen, get a fair price for their produce.
The colourless oil comes in a clear 100ml plastic spray bottle, which carry’s the Body Shop emblem. There are various chemicals listed but I’m not a chemist, so I do not pretend to know what they are. What I do know is that I really like this body oil. I prefer to use it after my shower, whilst my skin is slightly...

The Body Shop - Almond Oil Daily Hand & Nail Cream
Review of The Body Shop Almond Oil Intensive Hand Rescue by
kristenstal
Advantages: Leaves hands feeling silky smooth and smells lovely
Disadvantages: Hands are greasy for a couple minutes after application
...I purchased a daily hand and nail cream from the body shop a couple of months back as my hands are often dry after washing.
I have found this product to be much better than other products I have used on my hands for example nivea and vaseline. Not that I dislike the other products I have used but they just leave my hands greasy for ages and I cant do nothing with them. The body shops Almond Oil Hand and Nail Cream does have my hands feeling greasy, however, only for a couple of minutes. After that they become extremely soft and supple yet you can not feel that anything is on your hands. It also smells very nice because of the almond oil but it also contains community traded shea butter, soya oil and beeswax to help protect against dryness and moisture loss.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Shampoo
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Shampoo by
helensahl
Advantages: Leaves hair and scalp feeling thoroughly clean, soft and shiny hair.
Disadvantages: Initially quite a strong smell.
...For the last two years I have had problems using various hair care products. I already have intolerances to many foods and various household products. But went on to develop an intolerance to the hair care products I was using. I constantly had a very itchy scalp and my hair was not in very good condition.
On the reccomendation of my nutritionist, I decided to try the Body Shop Tea Tree Oil shampoo, initially buying the smallest bottle, to ensure it suited me.
SIZES AVAILABLE
The shampoo come in three sizes, small, medium 500ml and large 1000ml. (Although I have only been able to obtain the large size in the factory shop).
PACKAGING
As with all the Body Shop products it comes in a plain basic bottle, with a flip top lid. The usual label with ingredients, the Body Shop logo and instructions on use.
You do...

Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Blotting Papers
Review of The Body Shop Facial Blotting Tissues by
Vicky_M
Advantages: Mops up oil to leave skin feeling matte and fresh
Disadvantages: Pricey
...The Body Shop offers several different varieties of blotting papers. I chose the Tea Tree Oil papers because they weren't powdered like the rest; I like to try to keep my skin as clean and make-up-free as possible to prevent blemishes. These blotting papers cost about £2.00 (I'm not sure exactly how much they cost because I bought them a while ago), which is more expensive than some other blotting tissues but worth paying if you don't want powdered paper.
Packaging
"""""""""""""""
The Tea Tree Oil Blotting Papers come in a small green and black envelope, which allows you to pull individual papers out easily. This envelope comes in a protective wrapping so that you know none of the papers have been removed.
Product

The papers themselves are very thin and resemble grease-proof paper that you use in cooking! To use...

Sparkydog writes a negative Body Shop op..
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub by
sparkydog
Advantages: Probably will fight spots, didn't use it enough to find out...
Disadvantages: ineffective exfoliation, rancid smell, doesn't foam well
...What's this? No surprise that sparkydog has finally cracked, reverted to type and gone back to writing a Body Shop product review, but a wholly negative review?
Well, I'm afraid so, though it might be useful to prove that I am not totally in love with all things Body Shop and don't mind criticising them when they come along with a stinker of a product- and never was a description more apt than "stinker" for a product than for this one!
It's not the distinctive scent of tea tree I object to. I actually bought this product because I've been very happy with the Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash in the same range- op will follow!
I wanted an exfoliant, which I find helpful to use once or twice a week- helps to keep the skin clear and when you get a good kind, you really can see a difference- the skin looks brighter and really clean, and all...

An Excellent Alternative To Body Butter
Review of The Body Shop Coconut Dry Oil Mist by
goldenc4
Advantages: Price, moisturising ability, smell, Community Trade
Disadvantages: Size, lack of availabilty in the UK
...The Body Shop Coconut Dry Oil Mist
****************************************
Why I Chose This Item:
On my Birthday this year I was given a wide variety of The Body Shop’s products, and the Coconut Dry Oil Mist was one of them. I’ve decided to write about this one first as it’s definitely my favourite out of the gifts!
Luckily, I love The Body Shop so the presents were lovely, but it seems that now I may have found a contender to my ever-expanding collection of body butters.
The Products Claims:
The Coconut Dry Oil Mist itself is a spray-on oil that helps to moisturise the skin, whilst leaving it lightly fragranced. The coconut oil has been included to aid normal-to-dry skin with it’s moisturising properties- something my skin constantly needs! It also suggests it will be left “soft, smooth and subtly scented...

Butter me up with Body Shop
Review of The Body Shop Shea Body Butter by
brittle1906
Advantages: Does what it promises to do.
Disadvantages: Scent may not suit everyone
...BODY SHOP Shea Body Butter
I have been a fan of Body Shop products for many years now and was delighted when a branch opened in my home town. I had read about the softening effect of shea butter and was pleased to see a range in Body Shop so decided to try it.
Body Shop products are untested on animals and the Shea butter range is part of their 'Community Trade' scheme, An association of around 400 women from 10 villages, Body Shop ensure they are paid a fair price for their shea beans. Since trading with The Body Shop the women have been able to dramatically change their lives with water pipes and wells, better housing, medical care, food, and self esteem. Importantly, they are also able to give their children the chance to go to school. Since 1995, The Body Shop has been buying cocoa beans from the Kuapa Kokoo company...

The Body Shop Rediscovered…….at a bargain price!
Review of The Body Shop (Shop) by
psychstudent1
Advantages: Big discounts
Disadvantages: Temptation to overspend!
...Before I begin, I must state that this is not a review of any particular Body Shop product. Nor is it a review of the company's business practices, policy on animal testing or community trade practices. These may be the subject of future reviews, but this is simply about a reacquaintance with an old friend!
Discovery
When I returned to the UK 6yrs ago, after 17yrs living in South Africa, I discovered The Body Shop! I was a devotee of their lovely, rich body lotions and butters as well as their exotic bath and shower gels, creams and oils. Then I discovered their wonderful range of aromatherapy and massage oils, shampoos and conditioners with unusual ingredients, indulgent fragrances to scent rooms and linen, luscious fruity lip balms….and the list goes on…..,
I am a very girly girl who adores perfume, bath and body goodies...

Stick to pure tea tree oil and save your face
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub by
cladach29
Advantages: Nice smell, nice packaging
Disadvantages: Poor exfoliator, expensive
...fresh and tingly after washing, I did not persist in using it as it did not improve my skin and if anything actually made it worse. I think there is some debate currently about whether exfoliation really benefits acne and whether in fact it doesn't just exacerbate the problem. I switched to simply using a regular moisturising facial wash and applying Body Shop pure tea tree oil to problem areas, and my skin improved quite quickly.
---Value for money---
A bit pricey given that there are other facial washes, including exfoliators, which are cheaper. Currently is priced at GBP 3-4.
---Availability---
In all Body Shop outlets (UK and Australia).
---Summary---
Not a particularly good product for me, and not great value for money; perhaps best enjoyed by those who regularly use exfoliating face washes and are looking to try...

To the Body Shop & Cinn-a-mon 'bout a spotty bum!
Review of The Body Shop Cinnamon & Nutmeg Exfoliating Body Wash by
emmaclaire
Advantages: Smells gorgeous, skin feels wonderful
Disadvantages: none
...boyfriend I decided to visit Lush and get a Buffy the Backside Slayer as I’ve heard wondrous things about it. After asking the (male) assistant and being told with a giggle that it was quite popular and therefore they didn’t have any, I left empty handed. On the last day of my visit, we happened to pop into the Body Shop in Barnsley to see what was left in the sale… and lo and behold, what have we here? The Body Shop Cinnamon and Nutmeg Exfoliating Body Wash for the bargainous price of £1.50? Quick sniff… mmm, yes I’ll have some of that. It’s a medium sized tube containing 150ml of product. The lid is black and sturdy and opens easily. The body wash itself is an orangey red colour with pale beige flecks in which must be the exfoliant.
So, I’ve paid my pennies and brought it home and it definitely deserves a little corner of Ciao...
