Say goodbye to dry skin with this body scrub
Review of The Body Shop Shea Body Scrub by  lizngaz

Advantages: Leaves skin very soft, ideal for people with very dry skin
Disadvantages: quite greasy but soon absorbed

...either, I'm quite happy to leave this out in my bathroom. Using the Shea Body Scrub The first thing I noticed about the body scrub was the smell. Now I'm not that fantastic at describing smells (hence the lack of perfume reviews!) but I would describe it as being a vanilla/coffee type smell. It's very mild and unoffensive but quite sweet at the same time. The best idea would be for you to pop along to your local shop and have a smell, just to make sure that you like it before buying. I scooped out a small amount of the body scrub and firstly applied it to my wet legs, massaging in a circular motion. The hard bits in the scrub were a lot bigger than I was used to in my usual Sanctuary body scrub, but they soon melted onto my skin, so you aren't left with loads of bits in the bottom of the bath when you get out! The base... Read review

Malibu vs Mango, M-J bites back at The Body Shop
Review of The Body Shop Mango Body Scrub by  Malibu_jenny

Advantages: Comes in a nice screw top pot....?
Disadvantages: Scratchy, Sticky, Smells Foul And Is Mostly Oil.

...Most men are not avid present buyers and Dad, Little Brother and The Boyfriend are no exception. Last Christmas, I gave into pressure to make a list and duly listed everything I could possibly want. Irritatingly, with Christmas and Birthday lists, your mind often goes blank at the crucial moment and you have to scrabble around to think of things you'd like. In the bathroom, I looked longingly at my make up and realised that there was no way I'd receive the right shade. Instead, I would be left with a cheaper alternative or the 'nearest' colour to neon orange. I needed something fool proof. At this point I stumbled across my Body Shop Body Butter and decided that it would be lovely to have the matching scrub. The Boyfriend got the present right and The Body Shop got it very, very wrong... Read review

Body SCRUB and dub dub
Review of The Body Shop Brazil Nut Body Scrub by  wlowe

Advantages: Great smooth skin, great smelling skin and a good feel affect
Disadvantages: Uses up quite quickly

...very warm. To some people that I meet in the body shop they loved the stuff and always recommended it to there friends, also when they have come back off Holiday they wanted to keep the memories so they carried on buying the Brazil but range! Your skin after this scrub will feel smooth and look great, as it will have soaked some oils in leaving it silky smooth! The Main points of the Body shop which there are 5, the one that contributes to this review is SUPPORT COMMUNITY TRADE. Which when you buy a product with the community trade logo on it, the money ACTUALLY goes to the community it comes from helping them to live a more relaxed life. Love your body as they say!!!... A truly invigorating body scrub.
Review of The Body Shop Rice Bran Scrub by  Jasmin

Advantages: Good price, good sized pot.
Disadvantages: Doesn't wash off as well as some other exfoliators.

...With the summer on its way I decided to have a shop round for a good exfoliator to make sure my skin looked good enough to show when the weather gets warmer. The first thing that attracted me to this product was its smell - it has a really natural fragrance. The scrub is made with traditional Chinese ingredients, the ground rice removes the dead skin cells and the rice bran oil softens and moisturises the newly polished skin. The first time I used this scrub was before a night out, and because I was baring quite a bit of skin that night I decided to use the scrub all over my body. The results were fantastic - my skin looked polished, healthy and was incredibly smooth. I didn't really find any negative points about this product but if I'm going to be picky I'd probably mention that you have to rinse it off quite thoroughly as its quite... Read review

Sparkydog writes a negative Body Shop op..
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub by  sparkydog

Advantages: Probably will fight spots, didn't use it enough to find out...
Disadvantages: ineffective exfoliation, rancid smell, doesn't foam well

...What's this? No surprise that sparkydog has finally cracked, reverted to type and gone back to writing a Body Shop product review, but a wholly negative review? Well, I'm afraid so, though it might be useful to prove that I am not totally in love with all things Body Shop and don't mind criticising them when they come along with a stinker of a product- and never was a description more apt than "stinker" for a product than for this one! It's not the distinctive scent of tea tree I object to. I actually bought this product because I've been very happy with the Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash in the same range- op will follow! I wanted an exfoliant, which I find helpful to use once or twice a week- helps to keep the skin clear and when you get a good kind, you really can see a difference- the skin looks brighter and really clean, and all... Doesn't This Scrub Up Well!!
Review of The Body Shop Papaya Body Scrub by  nosreme7

Advantages: It's from the Body Shop
Disadvantages: price (for some)

...I admit to being a bit of a fan of The Body Shop. I love their ethics - community trade, against animal testing, etc and think their products are innovative and good value. Unfortunately, I don't get to the shop very often as I live nearly 40 miles from the nearest store but stock up regularly at the Body Shop at Home parties. I had tried the Body Shop Grape Oil scrub and had been very impressed so was delighted when Mr Claus delivered The Body Shop Papaya Scrub in my Christmas stocking. I'm not sure how much this retails at as it does not say on the website but would imagine it to be around £10.00 for a 200ml tub (you can correct me if I'm wrong). So What Do You Get? Well for your £10.00 or so you get 200ml of scrub packaged in an aesthetically pleasing tub which is simply designed. The base of the tub is opaque and has... Read review

Its manly to scrub….no trust me it is!
Review of The Body Shop For Men Face Scrub by  mtpatton

Advantages: Leaves the face nice and smoothe, Nice aroma. It works!
Disadvantages: touching on been over priced.

...For the past couple of Christmases I have received loads of miniature health and Beauty products. This trend was started by my girlfriend as a gentle hint to look after myself better. Normally I don’t think that I will ever use them. Face scrub is one of the products that I always receive. I have tried probably five or six different scrubs over the last two years, but I have never actually gone out and paid for one of the products I tried. This Scrub changed all of that. The body Shop for men face scrub is part of the body shop for men products. Other products in the range include Face protector, Face Wash and Shaving cream. All of these products were included in my Christmas gift. I have always found the other scrubs I have tried to be too harsh on the face This does not feel like that, instead after scrubbing my face feels... Read review

Scrub your blues away with scrumptious shea scrub
Review of The Body Shop Shea Body Scrub by  funphobic2

Advantages: leaves your skin silky smooth
Disadvantages: packaging

...Before working at The Body Shop I didn't know my scrubs from my shower gels. The first one I tried was the shea scrub, and I haven't used anything else since. The purpose of a scrub is to get rid of all the dead skin cells. Most people only think to use it on holiday when the skin is peeling from too much sun. But in actual fact, you should be doing it every week. So £10 for 200ml may sound like a lot, but it won’t be once you’ve tried it! The exfoliant in the shea scrub is sugar, which is not too harsh; as it is sugar based, it tends to melt very easily. Try using it with an exfoliating scrub for maximum effect. Otherwise apply a in circular motions with your hands - a teaspoon for the whole body is generally enough. The best thing about the shea scrub is that it contains shea butter, which comes from a nut... Read review

like a kid in a candy shop........in the shower!
Review of The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Scrub by  Liv712

Advantages: divine!beautiful smell, good exfoliator AND moisturiser, value for money.
Disadvantages: some may find it too expensive but i think it is good value

...The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Scrub is part of a range that is sold at the Body Shop. I have used their moisturiser for some time and when shopping the other day I saw that they had a 3 for 2 deal on all cocoa butter items in the shop. As I was feeling a bit like treating myself, I decided to buy the Body Scrub as part of the deal. The price is something that I think will immediately put most people off. I bought the Scrub on a 3 for 2 deal but as these are temporary offers, I am stating the full regular price which is £10 for 200ml. However, I want to emphasise that I am by no means high maintenance and usually I would never even consider buying any type of beauty product for this price. But I decided to firstly because I have very dry skin and I find that the Body Shop products are usually better than most for this and secondly... Read review

The Sanctuary Sugar Body Scrub, heaven in a jar!
Review of The Sanctuary Sugar Body Scrub by  shazzaspannered

Advantages: Gives clear looking glowing skin after use
Disadvantages: Slightly expensive but still worth it

.... On my travels one day I spotted a jar of this Sugar Body Scrub, I'd never tried it before but had seen it when looking at the other stuff in Boots. "How much is this" I asked the women with bated breath "Erm 50p" she replied - god I couldn't get my money out of my purse quick enough, lol. 50p for a brand new unused jar of this which would've sent me back 5p off a tenner in Boots, what a bargain! I had previously used to Salt Scrub which I really liked but I actually like this even more. The jar which is similar to the one that the salt scrub comes in is made of glass with that same metal clasp style lid (like a Grolsch) bottle, it has all the usual info (ingredients etc) along with the Sanctuary logo on the front and a bit about the product on the back. The jar is very heavy so if your doing a days shopping get this last! This is a self... Read review
