...This is part of a new special range at the Body Shop for the upcoming festive season - the range includes hand wash, shower gel, soal, bath melt and home fragance oil. Being a fan of the Body Shop's body butters, and a regular user of their Vanilla Eau de Toilette, I decided to try this product as it was a new scent. I'd previously been using a cheaper moisturiser scented with vanilla which had just run out. ***The smell*** The smell is INCREDIBLE. It is obviously vanilla, but it also contains undertones of cinnamon, orange and ginger. Its a true Christmas scent, heady, musky, warm and spicy. ...This is one piece from The Body Shop's Vanilla Spice range that is sadly only out at Christmas. **Packaging** This comes in a gold bottle with a gold pump which despenses the product. It has a creamy coloured label on the front which says Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lotion in gold writing it also has the new Body Shop logo on it. **Fragrance** This does have a very strong vanilla smell but it also has a bit of a kick to it, i don't know it if that's the spice bit! The smell may be a bit to sweet and strong for some people but i like it. ...This is a great lip balm, unfortuneatly it is only out at christmas time and it usually sells out as soon as it's on the shelves. **Packaging** It comes in a small round tub with a lid that comes off completely from the tub. It has a creamy coloured sticker on the lid which has gold writing on it that says Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lip Balm, it also has the new green Body Shop logo on it too. **Fragrance & Taste** It's frgarance is of vanilla but it does smell slightly different to regualr vanilla products, i guess thats the spice bit! ...This is one of the Body Shop's many soaps and has not failed to disapoint. It has a wonderful fragrance and comes wrapped in gorgeous paper so it would be great for a gift for someone or as a stocking filler. It smells like the vanilla soap that they stock all year round but it does have that extra some thing which makes it very festive. It contains glycerin which cleanses your skin. it doesn't dry your skin out, which is a problem that i always seems to have with soap. The first time i used it i was amazed at how smooth it left my skin and i could still smell it on my skin quite a while after my shower, which pleasantly surprised me. It is something that i would reccomend and it really is a great luxury, plus your bathroom smells great when it's in there. it normally costs £3 but it's in the sale at the moment half price so... I would say that this range of moisturisers is the best. My skin always feels amazing after application and it's a great feeling when your skin is smooth and smelling nice. I love using this on my legs, as there's nothing like a smooth set of legs. Definitely sexy. ...prefer the lemon range from bliss which is a little bit lighter although I have only tried the lemon products in the shops and haven't actually bought them. The Vanilla and Bergamot Body Butter is not a product that I would necessarily buy myself but as a gift it is a lovely bit of indulgence and my skin certainly feels the better for using it.... ...I wrote earlier an opinion on Body Shop's Brazil Nut Conditioner. This shampoo is the perfect partner and they are marketed together as a duo. I absolutely love the smell of brazil nut - it is more of a vanilla/coffee smell than one of nuts, and it has real staying power that perfumes your hair all day, yet at the same time is still natural and not over-powering. This shampoo is very rich and intensive and therefore is not recommended for frequent use, unless you have particualrly damaged hair that needs a lot of loving care and attention. Like the conditioner, it is also very moisturising and I find that it can make my very short hair quite limp if I use it too regularly. ...either, I'm quite happy to leave this out in my bathroom. Using the Shea Body Scrub The first thing I noticed about the body scrub was the smell. Now I'm not that fantastic at describing smells (hence the lack of perfume reviews!) but I would describe it as being a vanilla/coffee type smell. It's very mild and unoffensive but quite sweet at the same time. The best idea would be for you to pop along to your local shop and have a smell, just to make sure that you like it before buying. I scooped out a small amount of the body scrub and firstly applied it to my wet legs, massaging in a circular motion. The hard bits in the scrub were a lot bigger than I was used to in my usual Sanctuary body scrub, but they soon melted onto my skin, so you aren't left with loads of bits in the bottom of the bath when you get out! ...I was given a Body Shop Vanilla Musk spray as a birthday present years ago, but when the product ran out and I looked in store for a new one I found the price was £5 for 50ml, which is really quite expensive for a body spray! The one in Boots in 150ml (5 US Fl. Oz.) and is 1.99, plus, if you hand your Boots advantage card over you will get 8 points – the equivalent of 8p back as you receive 4 points for every pound, not much, but remember that it does all add up! Boots do however, have a fair few triple points weekends throughout the year, so it’s great to stock up at these opportunities for all items! My friends having been buying this body spray for years, and I’ve always loved the smell, but unfortunately for me, every time I had the opportunity, Boots were always out of stock, and seeing as it is a Natural Collection product...
