...The Pinnacle SoundBridge media hub is a smashing device considering the price of around £50.00 Its versatile and is fairly easy to set up and seamlessly connects to your wireless router in order to give you easy access to Internet radio. There are loads preset and you have the option of browsing 'regions' to identify your favourite local stations available on the web. I did find that my local station wasn't listed and although it comes with radio snooper software I've failed to get this to work properly. The device happily finds both my windows media files and itunes folder and allows you to browse and play these tunes through speakers or your hi-fi if you connect this using a spare phono socket. If your LAN already operates using a Wireless Access Point (WAP), to allow for the cordless connection of PCs, then you’re in business. You can’t just add on another wireless adapter as you would for an extra PC, because the SliMP3 quite simply isn’t a PC, not being capable of being loaded with installation software. However, you can add a ‘bridge’ adapter. SliMP3 suggest the D-Link DWL-810 offering, priced by them at £98.70, but available from www.dabs.com for less than £70. Advantages: Absolutely superb midrange frequencies and very smooth treble. Neutral and yet very atmospheric. Beats many speakers at twice its price.
Disadvantages: Slight problems with three-dimensional reproduction and upper bass overemphasis. Power-hungry and thus critical with some amplifiers.

Advantages: Just Brilliant.

The carrying cases are OK to keep the dust off them, but there is not sufficient room for the mounting bracket or leads, I keep mine in an old cine camera case, just the job. A friend of mine stows his in a little biscuit tin! If the carrying case had belt loops, you could simply remove the unit from your car, and take it with you. The fact that it does not is a shame, and perhaps this is why many are left in the vehicle. My Tomtom gets a lot of use in HGVs, and I have been caught out by low bridges, there is software out there which gives bridge heights, although I have not used it yet. Tomtom will also want to send me down roads which have weight limits, luckily as I drive past these roads, the trusty Tomtom simply re-routes me without me having to do a thing. ...I bought the Punch 120 amplifier and speakers because a couple of my closest friends owned them for their vehicles. I can't say enough about this In Car Audio system. It is such a good value for the money that I paid for it. The Amplifier by itself was $250.00 and each 10in. sub woofers were $100.00 each, and they put out 200 watts. Then...of coarse I had to buy the box for the subs...which was a wopping $200.00 and not to mention all of the wiring to connect everything to my car. All in all I spent about $600.00 on the entire system. This wasn't a bad deal at all for the performance I have gotten from them! I should mention that I have also bridged this system so that it will give me 200 watts instead of 120 My car mirrors rattle and shake from the bass of this system...I can't say enough about how loud the Punch 120 system goes... Well that's all, its excellent value for money, and the only problem i have with it is that the usb cover is a little loose, but this does not affect the playing of files in any way. The headphones supplied are ok, they make a good sound, but they slip out of your ears a bit. However they can easily be replaced by something better. You can also plug in portable speakers.... ...First of all, if you need to ask the price then this probably isn't the amplifier for you. It costs £750 for the amplifier, but after the cost of decent speakers and cabling you are looking at well over £1000. The reason for buying this amplifier is purely for sound quality, as pure as pure sound can be. As the name implies, it has 5 channels. 4 for upfront speakers and on dedicated to a sub woofer in the boot. The first 4 channels can be loaded down to 2 ohms each giving up to 80 WRMS per channel, with 4 ohm bridging between channels 1 & 2 and channels 3 & 4, all with a whole range of crossovers to suite any speaker system on the market. The 5th channel can be loaded down to 1 ohm and punches out up to 400 WRMS, also with all the crossover settings you could possibly need. The amplifier arrives in a very fancy box with instruction...
