The Royal Albion Hotel, Brighton
Advantages: great location, cheap, nice rooms, excellent food
Disadvantages: no parking, quite dated

The Royal Albion Hotel was built in 1826 and is situated in a fantastic location opposite Brighton pier. It is a three star hotel and has 186 guest rooms offering views of Brighton beach or the town centre.

Gulliver's Hotel, Brighton - great service in a great location
Advantages: Friendly service, great location but away from mega crowds
Disadvantages: Steps would be problem for disabled, parking may be a walk away
...My partner and I spent 2 nights here over the May bank holiday (the Monday and Tuesday nights). One of the reasons we chose this hotel was that I was told we could get a parking permit for £5 for 24 hours and that 'you'll find a space easily enough'. Arriving on a gloriously sunny Bank Holiday Monday Brighton was obviously busy and as we drove up the hotel there wasn't a parking space in sight...
