...When it comes to holidays my Husband and I like to go for cheap and cheerful; our typical holiday for the past 10 years would cost under £500, be in the EU and fully self catering. We had never booked a holiday with First Choice before as I prefer to search the Internet and find the cheapest deals myself, cutting out the shop assistants commission. I first entered the First Choice in Rotherham while looking for a wedding destination for my then Fiance and I; as soon as I walked in I was impressed by the store, the main desks were set out as though they were in a large ship, then had a waiting area made to look like an old 60's dinner with a duke box and refreshments. More importantly for me they also had a small child's play area with cars, jigsaws and other toys to keep the children entertained throughout the long drawn out...

Choice catalogue

Advantages: good stock availability on clothing, easy returns, free delivery
Disadvantages: customer service not great, don't communicate well

...Choice I have held an account with Choice for about four years now and have found them pretty good up until a recent bad experience. This catalogue is part of the littlewoods group and includes kays, great universal and additions. As with most catalogues they give you a credit limit and send a monthly statement requesting a minimum payment. You can pay by direct debit, credit/debit card, at the post office or bank counter by cheque or by online/tele-banking. They often have three and six months interest free promotions on and also frequent buy now pay later offers running throughout the year. Charges with Choice Catalogue

Advantages: You are able to pay for goods over a period if money is not at hand to buy right out.
Disadvantages: I feel we pay over the odds for the above priviledge but to add charges on top is wrong.

...In my opinnion the charges that Choice are now adding to my account are a disgrace. Although I am way ahead in my payments I am charged £12 for not paying my monies on the day they specify!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never come across the likes and shall be taking my business elsewhere. Apart from this rediculous charge I have always been really happy but will not accept being penalised when indeed my account is well and truly up to date. This has marred my whole outlook and feel in my opinnion that Choice is not looking after my best interests as a good and loyal customer. I decided to go ahead with it and so i phoned them up and answered all the necessary questions that was needed to register with Choice. ...Xmas is coming, and I am spending more and more money. My bank account and catalogue bill are now having arguments each month over how much one should pay the other. Actually I'm not that bad, but nearly. I love shopping by catalogue because I know whether something is in stock before traipsing into town and queuing in a shop for half an hour (ooh I do love to exagerate). ...i found a advertisement in a magazine to get a choice catalogue, so i decided to get one to see what it was like. I've now been an agent for about 3 years now. I have other catalogues as well as choice like freemans and look again. I think all the catalogues i have are expensive really. When you place your first order with choice they give you a introductory offer which is £15 to spend in your catalogue or 15% off your first order, which i thought was a good deal really. Your order usually comes withing 2 - 3 working days, especially if you ring up with your order. If you send your order by post it usually takes a while longer. The good thing about choice is that you do not have to pay for the catalogue like you do qwith next catalogue and also when you order things its interest free credit whereas a lot of catalogues aren't. Such a good choice

...I have never been a fan of catalogue shopping as i have found them to be more expensive than the high street or online stores but on one chilly winter morning i was walking through town where a very cold lady was trying her best to flog catalogue subscriptions. I tried my best to duck and weave but she got me up against the wall (ok - not exactly against the wall) and told me about this apparently wonderful catalogue called Choice. My first Choice?

...I am an avid TV watcher - it's just too depressing if I miss an episode of Eastendes or an X Factor heat! I always like to know in advance what is going to happen, and buy the odd TV magazine if I dont read up online. One of my favourite magazines is TV Choice. TV Choice is easily recognised by the red TV choice logo printed on the front of the magazine.
