Reviews of the cranberries
CRANBERRY VERSUS CRANBERRY
Review of Crazy Jack Organic Cranberries by
astrababe
Advantages: Sweeter tastier alternative to raisins
Disadvantages: Bit pricier than raisins
...Cranberries seem to be THE snackfood of the moment. They are loaded with Vitamin C and rich in hippuric acid, which stops bacteria clinging to the walls of the bladder. Cranberries are also known to prevent and ease cystitis.
During a recent stay in hospital, I was presented with both of these products to nibble on until my appetite returned. I should say here that I had already been introduced to CJs cranberries by my good friend Sheena but I was interested in making a comparison.
CRAZY JACK CRANBERRIES came in a 100g lime green bag with a dark blue upper border. The lower half of the bag has a picture of bright red fresh cranberries with the added bonus of a small 'window' allowing the consumer a view of the sultana-like contents. The bag also has a resealable top courtesy of a piece of sticky tape (complete with diagram...

Cranberry juice - good for the system
Review of Ocean Spray Pure Juice Cranberry by
backstreetwoman
Advantages: Not only nice tasting, but good for you
Disadvantages: None
...I have never been a great lover of fruit juice, either still or sparkling, fresh or long-life, unless it's the middle of a very hot Summer and tea is out of the question.
Then I started to get recurrent cystitis and when my daughter Kelly mentioned to me that she drank Cranberry Juice for a condition she has and that it was supposed to help 'water infections' and the like, I thought I would give it a try. I started with an own brand cranberry juice but i didn't find it very palatable at all. Kelly told me that the best she'd tried was from Ocean Spray, so the next time I did my weekly shop I decided to buy some. I didn't know what the taste would be like and wasn't really looking forward to it that much.
How wrong I was! From the first moment I tried Ocean Spray's Cranberry Juice drink, I was hooked. In my opinion it tastes...

Cranberry juice but not as we know it!
Review of Ocean spray white cranberry juice by
rowei
Advantages: Refreshing and tastes nice
Disadvantages: None
...Think of 'cranberries' and what instantly comes to mind? The Christmas turkey..? Their deep red colour..? Or perhaps the slightly bitter taste they are renowned for...? Well you probably wouldn't think of them being white, but that's where you'd be wrong, because, believe it or not, there is such a thing as a white cranberry. Let’s start off with a few facts:
• White cranberries are basically red cranberries which are harvested before they develop their traditional red colour.
• They are sweeter and less tart in flavour.
• There are cranberry growers all over the USA and Canada – from Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Oregon, Washington to British Columbia and parts of Canada.
Fine, you might think, but why’s he telling us all this…?! Well the reason should become clear when I tell you that today I am reviewing...

Cranberry Wheats Breakfast Cereal
Review of Tesco Cranberry Wheats by
jens25
Advantages: Its tasty and good for you
Disadvantages: A little bit pricey
...Grahams, I can’t stand cornflakes or anything like that so though I might struggle to find something that I would actually like. But I did find something, Tesco Cranberry Wheat’s, I thought they would be ideal as cranberries are quite sweet so I could do without the sugar.
****What are they?****
The Tesco Cranberry Wheat’s come in a box of 500g. The box is pink with a picture of the cereal on the front and the Tesco logo. It states on the packet that they are: Shredded whole grain wheat biscuits with cranberry filling. Less than 2g fat per 100g, suitable for vegetarians.
They are tiny little wheat parcels (mini shredded wheat) measuring about 1 inch squared and are filled with dried cranberries. They remind me of what used to be called Raisin Splits, but filled with cranberries instead, I haven’t seen any other brand that makes...

Cranberry's for breakfast
Review of Tesco Cranberry Wheats by
tracy2002
Advantages: slightly cheaper than brand names
Disadvantages: cranberry flavour if you dont like it
...the rasins (oh the other half will be happy I thought as he hates rasins!) They are called cranberry wheats. They are a tescos own brand so are slightly cheaper than the brand name rasin ones. A 500g box set me back £1.48. I didn't see any other size boxes of this. The box is red and described only as 'shredded whole grain wheat biscuits with cranberry fitting' with a bowl of cereal on the front of the box. They haven't gone out of their way to 'sell' this product to you. We buy quite a few tesco own brand things so I was fine with trying this and not at all worried about not having a brand name breakfast cereal.
So instead of your normal big shredded wheats the box contains lots of mini bitesize cereals. Each cereal is about an inch square. Quite sad I know but I measured it for the review. As you bite into the biscuit you then get...

Cranberries are for life, not just for Christmas!
Review of Archers Aqua Cranberry by
Fruity_Tart
Advantages: Lovely refreshing taste, actually tastes like what it's supposed to!
Disadvantages: The cranberries could taste a bit stronger
...One of the reasons I love Christmas so much is because I can indulge my love of cranberries. I like most berries anyway, I'd rather eat a hand full of raspberries than an apple, but cranberries always remind me of Christmas in a way mixed spice always reminds me of mulled wine. So imagine my excitement as I walked into the outdoor and saw Archers Aqua in a new (to me anyway) flavour - cranberry! I instantly forgot the bottles of Bacardi Breezer that I'd walked all that way in the rain for and grabbed a couple of bottles of this. And, being a pig, instead of opting for the small bottles I just knew I was going to like it enough to buy two big 70cl bottles! Well, they were only £2.49 each!
The bottle's a classy little affair. The same sort of feel to the bottle as the classic Archers Schnapps bottle, like the white colour has been...
