This villain, Ledger´s Joker, is Batman´s principal nemesis in Dark Knight, reprising the conflict last shown nearly 20 years ago, with Jack Nicholson behind the white make-up and perma-grin. Advantages: Still to the high standards of the first film
Disadvantages: 152 minutes in length!

...Gordon off to a tee. Gordon as a character has a destiny and I hope that in the following films that this plays out to entirety. Oldman's performance in The Dark Knight is spot on. The saddest part of the cast is the late Heath Ledger; we all know that Ledger passed way earlier this year. His input into this film is staggering. His take on The Joker is what the cinema just hasn't seen for years and I think that it is this film that Ledger will be remembered for as he effectively grounds the character and totally rebuilds him into a totally different type of villain that we haven't seen before in this genre of film. Advantages: A good Star Wars game!!!
Disadvantages: I really can't fault this game.

...With the number of terrible games based on Star Wars being added to all the time, Jedi Knight seems like something of a mistake by Lucasarts – it’s so great! *GRAPHICS The graphics have been surpassed by more recent games, but they still hold up pretty well. Of course they have the advantage of the Star Wars licence – where else do you get to shoot Stormtoopers or watch Tie Fighters as they fly past. It will work (albeit a bit slowly) without a 3D card, but adding one of these will allow you to run it in a decent resolution and generally things like explosions and gunfire look a bit nicer. The cutscenes are actually quite good to watch telling a decent story, though the acting is very dodgy in places. *SOUND The sound is very good. All the gun sounds are what you would expect, and the various creatures you meet make... Read review

Advantages: Chilling to the core

...Hard to believe I know but it has been three long years since Batman Begins first hit cinema screens across the globe, and now as I write this The Dark Knight takes the story on a seamless transition from one movie to the other. 2008's most anticipated movie would have been a blockbuster hit alone, but the death of one of the co-stars Heath Ledger an icon of our time solidified its place in history; when The Dark Knight opened a week ago in America it smashed box office record by achieving a whooping turnover of 67 million pounds on its first day. At the end of the already dark Batman Begins we were told The Joker was coming, and as The Dark Knight begins you're very well reminded of this, but now no longer just coming, The Joker is here. Advantages: AWESOME! exhillirating and great acting.
Disadvantages: none! well, maybe a bit scary for younger?

...I went to see this film with my mum and dad, we all LOVED IT! Heath ledger was absoloutly brilliant, he was so unhinged and played the character so well, Christian Bale played Batman really well too especially with his enhanced deep voice, this was a really dark film and had me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole film! Even though it was nearly 3hours long it didnt feel like it! Meg Gyllenhall was great too, she knew how to control both the senator and Batman, she looked amazing too in that black slinky chanel dress, to be honest, the shy, awkward and odd secretary she played in 'The Secretary' has completely been transformed and she took this role into he own. However, back to Heath, even the tongue licks of his lips were uneasy to watch and gave a really spooky and phsycotic take on the character of the joker, the makeup... Read review

Advantages: As dark as it gets, a milestone in comic history
Disadvantages: getting a bit dated

...'Batman is a child molester' went the headline on the radio Picadilly news. It seems a shame that they clearly didn?t read Frank Millers milestone publication and chose to glorify a very small and insignificant aspect of the story. I seem to remember the DJ, Mike Sweeny, running a phone in about it. I'd always liked Mike Sweeny as a DJ, until I saw him running in the Manchester marathon, he was about five foot nothing with ginger hair, he always sounded taller on the radio. Still I wasn't into comics then and so I thought it was amusing poking fun at the man in tights who climbed apartment block walls unconvincingly.
