Darkness
Review of Poetry by purplifried

Advantages: I wrote it
Disadvantages: A dark period of my life

...I wrote this poem when I was going through one of the worst periods of my life at just 15 years of age (nearly 10 years ago) and I would like to share it with you all, although I will not be sharing why I wrote it because that's just too personal. Anyway I hope you like it and keep an open mind :) Darkness: When the sun takes away the night, There is still darkness within our souls, hidden deep inside. Its the darkness within thats keeps us going. And when the night takes away the sun, Our souls shall roam free, releasing the awaiting darkness. The darkness that we need to survive. Yet again the sun will come, to take away our freedom, our darkness, our happiness. The darkness is hidden once again. But do not worry my friends, As the night will keep on coming, until that final day, the day of darkness. The day we will all... Read review

your only perfect if youve got Perfect Dark
Review of Perfect Dark (N64) by pokekid

Advantages: lots of new guns and good graphics.
Disadvantages: you need an expansion pak.

...Perfect dark is made by the creaters of goldeneye but perfect dark is more futuristic. It has loads of futuristic guns including machine guns a laptop the folds out to be a gun.there are video clips at the start and end of a missions.Perfect dark still has the 4 playermode. Each gun has two types of fireing for example a machine gun called a dragon can rapid fire or can proximity self-destruct.one of the problems with the game is you need an expansion and its not very easy to see that you need an expansion pak.if i was to rate the game i would give it 95% out of a hundred.you may have seen my other opinion on perfect dark if you havent its called The perfecto game.... A dark story
Review of A Dark, Dark Tale - Ruth Brown by mumsymary

Advantages: kids love it
Disadvantages: ?

...A dark, dark tale, Dratt Trisca got her review in first after I requested this category oh well never mind , here we go . Let me tell you about A dark, dark tale Written and illustrated by Ruth brown published first by Random house children’s books in 1981 then by red fox in 1992. This book retails for £8.99 This book is available in English and Somali You could start reading this book to your child at about the age of 2 and a child of 5 –6 should be able to read it alone. I think it is just about key stage 2 . This book is a paperback 21cmx26cm 29 pages long. On the cover we see a circle a window into the book a black cat is staring out of it at you the scene behind the cat is of a castle surrounded by mist with a full moon behind it. The picture makes you think the book is spooky it entices you in, so open the book... Read review

The Dark isn`t Really Scary.
Review of The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark - Jill Tomlinson by spottydog2

Advantages: Features a cute baby owl named Plop.
Disadvantages: None really.

...Whilst I am on a run of reviewing children`s books, this one is suitable for primary school children, I would say late infants early juniors. The story is based around a cute baby owl who is afraid of the dark. He sets out to find out why he shouldn`t be scared and ends up saying that it is super. The Book. * * * * * * * * The book is entitled `The Owl who was afraid of the Dark` and is by Jill Tomlinson. It is a paperback book though the cover is slightly stiff, costing £5.99. The book is illustrated by Paul Howard and as quoted by Practical Parenting it has `lovely illlustrations....great for calming night-time fears`. The illustrations are lovely, not only of the featured owls, but the things that Plop speaks to and the night sky. The drawings are all a bit on the dark side as the story is based around the night... Read review

The Best ever N64 Game
Review of Perfect Dark (N64) by mematedave

Advantages: Fantastic gameplay, excellent multiplayer mode
Disadvantages: None worth mentioning

...In my opinion Perfect Dark must be the best game Nintendo have released to date. Most gamers would agree that Perfect Dark was designed to be the new and improved Goldeneye. Both games were produced by masters of console games, Rare and Perfect Dark has certainly lived up to the high expectations printed in many a magazine preview. Perfect Dark is simply unrivaled in all catergories. The graphics (When played in conjunction with the N64 Expansion Pak) are first rate, the gameplay is nothing short of revolutionary and the multiplayer mode is even better than that of Goldeneye with the improvements in A.I (Artificial Intelligence). This one will certainly be hard to beat, but if Rare are given the opportunity it may well be achieved. This game is a must buy for anyone with an N64.... Read review

A bit disapointed
Review of Praktica DC Slim 5 by riothedog

Advantages: Small
Disadvantages: Poor Picture

...1 / Poor picture quality even in bright sunlight ,Just about OK . 2 / In well lit rooms picture extremely dark and grainy. 3 / Impossible to see subjects on screen even in not to dark locations therefore have to guess where people are to take picture in flash mode. 4 / In well lit room on web cam mode picture very dark and grainy. 5 / In well lit room on TV mode picture very dark and grainy. 6 / In macro mode with spot lamp over subject very dark and grainy. I Iam afraid i am going to take camera back it simply is not as good as my old 3 meggapixel camera which because of its handy size i purchased it to replace my old brick it is a shame because it would of been great as fitts snugley into my pocket... Frank's Butchered
Review of Frankenstein - Mary Shelley by shadylady999

Advantages: Original plot
Disadvantages: Dull

...Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin...... On a dark, dark morning, at a dark, dark college up the dark, dark staircase walked a dark haired Shadylady (thats me). Along the dark, dark corridor was a dark, dark classroom and in that dark, dark classroom, Frankenstein awaited Shadylady. Now, obviously I mean the novel awaited me, sitting there on the desk, my tutor with a smug look on his face thinking how hilarious it was going to be to subject another year of AAS students to the torture that is studying Frankenstein. It is a common misunderstanding that Frankenstein is the name of the monster in the book (you know the guy you are picturing with nuts and bolts through his head and an unearthly grimace), however Frankenstein, or should I say Dr Victor Frankenstein is the name of the character who brings the mass of flesh... Smooth dark and rich !
Review of Cadbury Bournville by textmad

Advantages: delicious.
Disadvantages: none.

...I remember trying this chocolate when i was younger and i didn,t like it then ithough, however recently i have tried it again after i had a sample come through the door . The bars in the shop are sold for around 45p, they are 44g and the bar is in a red cellophone wrapper with bournville on the front. ~ Where to buy it from ~ You can buy it from various shops and supermarkets . ~ What it looks like ~ Each bar has six pieces which are easy to break off. The chocolate is a lovely dark brown colour , and has a lovely smell of cocoa. ~ The taste ~ I love dark chocolate and have tried quite a few but this has to be one of the best if not the best dark chocolate i,ve tried. When you put a piece in your mouth and let it slowly melt, the chocolate taste is just delicious, its not a sickly creamy taste but tastes of rich dark chocolate... Read review

What A Set Of Bones!
Review of Funnybones - Janet, Allan Ahlberg by belfin

Advantages: Classic characters having fun
Disadvantages: none

...***Background*** Allan Ahlberg has written many books over the years but this one dates back to 1980 when it was first published. Even today it is a very popular book but was made really famous by the cartoon series, which brought these lovable characters to life. Allan’s wife, Janet, illustrated this book along with many others over the years but sadly died in 1994 but her legacy lives on through the wonderful pictures she has created. ***The Story*** “This is how the story begins. On a dark dark hill there was a dark dark town. In the dark dark town there was a dark dark street. In the dark dark street there was a dark dark house. In the dark dark house there was a dark dark staircase. Down the dark dark staircase there was a dark dark cellar. And in the dark dark cellar… …some skeletons lived.” We are then told how the big... Quality!
Review of Perfect Dark (N64) by zdannyz

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...Perfect Dark is by far the best game out so far on the 64! If you have got the money go out and buy it. If you have got 4 controllers it is a lot of fun on the multiplayer! People who should buy Perfect Dark should have a lot of pacience as it takes a lot of time and is very hard. The only thing that I can say is really bad about it is that on 4 player multiplayer it isn't very fast! If you have the money go out and buy it today! Hope you enjoyed reading! Danny... Read review
