...When it comes to booking a flight I tend to be one of those people who'll hunt for days or even weeks till I finally prove to myself I'm not going to get it any cheaper. I'll go throw site after site inputting all the boring information, changing the days if I can be flexible and then finally booking a ticket. Last October on a whim I decided to make a certain person aged then eight dreams come true and take her to Florida. A shoe string budget was set, after searching sites like Expedia, Opodo, Lastminute.com, Ebookers and probably a hundred or so more I stumbled across Dial A Flight. ...I have used dial a flight on a number of occasions now, and have always been impressed with their service. I found them on a web site, but as the title suggests you cannot book the flights over the internet. The web site gives you a quote for your flight and the telephone number. Quite often though when you get through to them and quote the price there is a drawback to the price. When I was generally looking around for a flight to Alicante for my son about 6 weeks ago, I found this what seemed a really good deal, £49 return!!! I rang Dial a flight and found that he would have had to travel first to Barcelona and then onto Alicante. A bit of a marathon for a short flight really, even though the price was brilliant. It does not mention these things on the web site. However I am actually writing an op on the telephone service so...

...Mail and there will be no cost what so ever. Basically the bottom line of what I was hearing was that there was nothing to lose and everything to gain! I was then asked if Friday would be suitable for my phone to be delivered to me, if it was to be delivered between 9am and 5pm, it was, so all we do is wait. Delivery day --------------- Friday comes, along with a letter in the post from Dial-a-phone, saying that the delivery will be here on today?s date between 9am and 5:30pm (different to what I was told on the phone by 30 mins) and if the date and time was unsuitable then to arrange another, hahahaha, what a joke how are you supposed to rearrange when the letter comes on the same day as your parcel is due, 10/10 for stupidity. I wait in all day and just when I am about to give up and go to the shop and feed my starving...

Dial a Bargain more like.

Advantages: 5 star service, efficient in the delivery of tickets, Some really good deals (cheap flight, and holiday deals- hence their name), Website is fast, clear, and precise with a huge array of different travel ideas (with a very useful search facility)
Disadvantages: Cannot book online, and therefore have to call their "local rate" telephone number (their staff however are very helpful anyway, so not really a big problem), Can become a lengthy phone call if no availablity (however staff will usually do their best)

...* Initial Note* I have been using Dial a flight for a while now, and I have to say that their service is absoloutley impeccable. The staff at the call centre, which currently is located in the swindon area, are absoloutley fantastic. They will do their utmost to help you along the booking process, and if the call begins to become lengthy, they will call you back within the time that they state. I will give you an example of some of the brilliant flight deals which I have managed to get off dial-a-flight, starting with the best offers. 1. When I travelled to Dubai, in the summer of 2003, I purhcased a ticket for £289!! RETURN! Bearing in mind that the standard air ticket costs about £400. ...A great trip - thanks to Dial-A-Flight and Korean Air (and a few tips) We just returned from visiting friends and family in New-Zealand. We had a great time travelling around and catching up with everyone but what topped the holiday off was the fact that our travelling to Auckland and back was so hassle-free! This is all thanks to Oscar - our booking agent at Dial-A-Flight. We booked 7 months ahead and as I am sure everybody does, searched the internet in depth to find the best available price for our selected dates.
