...I have used dial a flight on a number of occasions now, and have always been impressed with their service. I found them on a web site, but as the title suggests you cannot book the flights over the internet. The web site gives you a quote for your flight and the telephone number. Quite often though when you get through to them and quote the price there is a drawback to the price. When I was generally looking around for a flight to Alicante for my son about 6 weeks ago, I found this what seemed a really good deal, £49 return!!! I rang Dial a flight and found that he would have had to travel first to Barcelona and then onto Alicante. A bit of a marathon for a short flight really, even though the price was brilliant. It does not mention these things on the web site. However I am actually writing an op on the telephone service so...

...A great trip - thanks to Dial-A-Flight and Korean Air (and a few tips) We just returned from visiting friends and family in New-Zealand. We had a great time travelling around and catching up with everyone but what topped the holiday off was the fact that our travelling to Auckland and back was so hassle-free! Dial a Bargain more like.

Advantages: 5 star service, efficient in the delivery of tickets, Some really good deals (cheap flight, and holiday deals- hence their name), Website is fast, clear, and precise with a huge array of different travel ideas (with a very useful search facility)
Disadvantages: Cannot book online, and therefore have to call their "local rate" telephone number (their staff however are very helpful anyway, so not really a big problem), Can become a lengthy phone call if no availablity (however staff will usually do their best)

...* Initial Note* I have been using Dial a flight for a while now, and I have to say that their service is absoloutley impeccable. The staff at the call centre, which currently is located in the swindon area, are absoloutley fantastic. They will do their utmost to help you along the booking process, and if the call begins to become lengthy, they will call you back within the time that they state. I will give you an example of some of the brilliant flight deals which I have managed to get off dial-a-flight, starting with the best offers. 1. When I travelled to Dubai, in the summer of 2003, I purhcased a ticket for £289!! RETURN! Bearing in mind that the standard air ticket costs about £400. Flight 93

Advantages: Educates on the subject effectively
Disadvantages: is only based on 'facts'

...Flight 93 is something that I do not believe we will ever fully understand, not because of our limitations to cope with the facts but because the facts will not in my opinion ever be revealed to us. The events which occurred on 9/11 have been subject to much speculation and cause for many conspiracy theories, the film ?Flight 93? was created to show us ?what happened? on one of the planes whilst in the sky. ...I recently booked a flight with DialAFlight together with a week's holiday for my family at Blue Waters Hotel in Antigua. There is a feature on the site which lets you know which of their sales people has stayed at the hotel and is currently in the office. I think this is fantastic and the person I spoke to was very helpful. I actually found the same hotel on the Expedia site for £50 less but decided to book with DialAFlight because they had been so good. I used to be in the hotel business and I know that the tour operators who pay the lowest prices also tend to be allocated the worst rooms! So personally I am always happy to pay a little extra....but if you were on a tight budget this would not make sense....

...HI all As the person to nominate Dial a Flight onto Ciao, I feel its only fitting that I provide the first insight into the ways of this here tour operator. Dial a Flight first came to my attention when browsing teletext for a cheap flight to USA - I had no plans for a holiday however, but was just bored at work. Well I found a flight to LA for 175 pounds, I thought "a bargain". So gave them a call (still no intention of going mind), and was cheerfully greeted by a pleasant young operator who asked my reasons for calling, I told her, I was passed on immediately to the correct dept, I mentioned the deal and instantly said flight was fully explained. I was asked the kind of holiday I would be interested in once in the States, I was truthful in saying a flight and a car would be all I want, as I always fancied a west coast USA...

...Mail and there will be no cost what so ever. Basically the bottom line of what I was hearing was that there was nothing to lose and everything to gain! I was then asked if Friday would be suitable for my phone to be delivered to me, if it was to be delivered between 9am and 5pm, it was, so all we do is wait. Delivery day --------------- Friday comes, along with a letter in the post from Dial-a-phone, saying that the delivery will be here on today?s date between 9am and 5:30pm (different to what I was told on the phone by 30 mins) and if the date and time was unsuitable then to arrange another, hahahaha, what a joke how are you supposed to rearrange when the letter comes on the same day as your parcel is due, 10/10 for stupidity. I wait in all day and just when I am about to give up and go to the shop and feed my starving...
