"Edge"ing your bets.
Review of Garmin Edge 305 by  LegendaryMrDude

Advantages: Flexibility, Features, Size, Motivation
Disadvantages: Cost

...attached to the fork and it still had something attached to a spoke and it still counted the number of wheel revolutions. But this time it was electronic rather than mechanical. A wire ran from the sensor on the fork to a display unit on the handlebars and it showed me my current speed as well as the time I'd been traveling and the distance I had covered. A later upgrade dispensed with the wire from the sensor on the fork to the display, relying instead on wireless communications. And then came the Garmin Edge 305. It doesn't have wires. In fact, it doesn't even need a sensor on the wheel - instead it relies on the Global Positioning System of satellites to track your position, distance, speed, time and altitude. But it doesn't stop there. Oh no, that wouldn't be complicated enough for the modern world. Not content with the usual statistics... Read review

Gotta have a Garmin Edge 205
Review of Garmin Edge 305 by  yackers1

Advantages: wireless, accurate, can analyse data, water proof - Excellent
Disadvantages: Sometimes a loss of GPS signal, still quite expensive

...Why I chose the Garmin Edge 205 **************************************** Being a bit of a gadget 'freak' I stumbled across one of these on a cycling accessories website but instantly dismissed it because of its price tag of £149.99. Being a recreational cyclist who would never enter a cycling competition of any discipline there was no way I could justify the price. However, after being introduced to the Fat fingers concept on Ebay, and seeing the bargains a close mate of mine was enjoying I decided to scour the Ebay search engine in hope of finding one of these at a 'reasonable' price. All brand new units (I will not buy second hand electrical items/gadgets off Ebay since I have been stung before) were retailing between £95.00 plus P&P of £25 and £169.99 plus P&P of £5.95. Using the Fat fingers finder I found a "buy it now... Read review

Cycling on the Edge
Review of Garmin Edge 305 by  xalala

Advantages: Many many functions, training centre info
Disadvantages: Info overload, price, rubbish standard map

...My other half is what you'd call a keen cyclist - he cycles about 25 miles a day commuting to work, and frequently goes on weekend training rides too. He's got a couple of cycle computers that show things like the time, distance, speed, and similar, but had been hankering after a Garmin cycle computer to replace them ever since he found out about them! Finally, he took the plunge and shelled out £250 on the Garmin Edge 305 with cadence and heart rate monitor (cadence is RPM for your feet while pedalling, by the way). It arrived a couple of weeks ago and after playing with it for a short while was promptly installed on one of his bikes. The 305 does absolutely tons of different stuff, and to be honest to me seemed to measure more things than you could possibly ever want to know about your riding speed and style. Heart rate monitor... Read review

Soft Spot For Hard Edge?
Review of Hard Edge (PSX) by  tom1clare

Advantages: Nice team-work elements, engaging, great combat, additional extras beyond completion
Disadvantages: Naff dialogue, short, linear despite team elements, unremarkable visuals

...Having recently embarked on another mini-quest to play a few of the more notable PSOne games that had slipped by me first time around, I happened across Hard Edge; a long forgotten though nonetheless intriguing title. Released in 1999 and developed by Sunsoft, Hard Edge is an action game that mixes and matches ideas from a variety of previous titles to make for a game that is tricky to accurately categorize. If you can imagine Resident Evil's gameplay mechanics crossed with a Die Hard-esque plot of 'terrorists in tall buildings' and throw in some wacky anime-styled protagonists, you're somewhere close. The adventure is set in 2046, and you initially assume control of Michelle and Alex, the two surviving members of an ambushed commando unit sent into a skyscraper owned by military suppliers, which has been occupied by terrorists... Stanage Edge, Derbyshire
Review of Stanage Edge, Derbyshire by  micksheff

Advantages: Fantastic views, an unusual attraction
Disadvantages: Can get popular at busy times

...Stanage Edge is the name given to the largest of the Peak District's gritstone edges, it is also visually, the most impressive and has become a magnet for rock climbers who come here from all over the country to climb its sheer vertical rock faces. The edge runs for over four miles (6.5Km) from the Cowper Stone at its southern end to Stanage End at the north. It rises to a vertical height of 103 metres at its highest point but generally it is only between 20 and 30 metres high. At approximately halfway along the edge it is crossed by the Long Causeway, an old Roman road that originally ran from Navio, at Brough on Noe in Derbyshire to the old town of Danum, now known as Doncaster. This road was later used as packhorse route to transport salt between Sheffield and the Cheshire salt mines. There are some stones along the top... Read review

Edge and Christian
Review of Edge by  Kenneth912

Advantages: New gimmick = Great!
Disadvantages: Old Gimmick = Useless!

...When Edge made his debut in the WWF about 2 years ago his gimmick stunk. The whole "mysterious man" was for people with no mike skills. What a huge mistake by the WWF. When the Dudleys came into the WWF, They started a feud up with the Hardyz, which led to Edge & Christian (friends with them at the time) getting involved. As expected, the friendship didn't last long as the tag titles got in the way. April 2nd, 2000 changed everything. It was a 3 - way ladder match between 2 face (good guy) teams, the Hardyz vs. Edge & Christian vs. The champions The Dudley boys, a heel (bad guy) team at the time. A brilliant match it was, as all matches with these teams and a stipulation always is, Edge and Christian walked out as the champions. That changed their gimmick. Gone was the "You think you know me" thing and in was the "That reeks... Read review

Hard Jagged Edge
Review of Hard - Jagged Edge by  jcneil

Advantages: Smooth ballads, Vocals
Disadvantages: A couple of weaker links

...**Introduction** Hard is the fourth album from Jagged Edge released in 2003. The album features collaborations with the likes of Big Boi from Outkast aswell as Street Katz And Woonie on the remix of "They aint J" and Major Damage on Girls Gone Wild. 1. They Ain't JE This is the introduction to the album, the track is about having confidence in yourself that you have something that other people can't offer. As I mention later this original version isnt as good as the remix. That is a shame. 2. Walked Outta Heaven This track has a gorgeous feel to it. It starts softly then the beat comes in and showcases their distinctive Jagged Edge ballad. Superb vocals all around and one of their best songs. The vocal harmonies are amazing. 3. Girls Gone Wild Featuring Major Damage This track is about meeting some girl on spring... Read review

Edge totally reeking of awesomeness
Review of Edge by  on_the_edge

Advantages: Fast, strong, good-looking, funny
Disadvantages: Not used enough by Vince Macmahon

...What is there to say about Edge? Well, we can start by saying that he is the WWF's most underused wrestler and that the WWF should wake up to the fact that they have real talent on their hands. Edge,(real name Adam Copeland), was born in Toronto canada and with his brother Christian have captured the tag-team titles twice...once from the Dudley Boys at Wrestlmania 2000 in what was possibly the best ladder match in history, and once from Too Cool at King of the Ring 2000. Edge has also held the Intercontinental belt and his combination of technical moves and high-flying ability has made him one of the most agile wrestlers in the WWF today. His mic work is perfect too, his endless backstage rantings to commissioner Mick Foley and his 5 second poses in the ring have bought many a smile to everyone's face. Edge and Christian... The Edge of Dreadful
Review of Bridget Jones: the Edge of Reason - Helen Fielding by  Soho_Black

Advantages: Some of the things you love about Bridget Jones are still here
Disadvantages: It feels as if Fielding is trying too hard to go one better

...Whenever something is a huge sales success, it inevitably spawns a sequel. This isn't always a good thing and more sequels are a bad idea than are good ones. After all, sequels are difficult things. With a sequel, the fans what more of the same quality and all the things that made the original so popular, but if you replicate the original too closely, those same fans complain that it's exactly the same as the original. More often than not, you discover that you can't win with a sequel and they're better avoided. With "Bridget Jones - The Edge of Reason", Fielding has been careful not to fall into the trap of making a sequel too similar to the original. Part of the reason for this is that Bridget's life is moving on from the end of the previous year, rather than from the beginning. So she's now settled into the job she gained part way...
