...Public Enemy seemingly vanished out of the spotlight after 1994. Personal problems, legal problems, and the infamous Professor Griff / Anti-Jewish situation was pushing them closer and closer to retirement and away from music. On Muse Sick-n-Hour Mess Age, they sort of closed the casket. Or so we thought. In 1998, Public Enemy made their amazing return, on a soundtrack? Even though this is a soundtrack to the motion picture He Got Game, in this humble reviewer's opinion, it is also a full Public Enemy album, due to the fact that they are on every single song, and their name is in the title. But Russia actually paid a huge part in the war, that is often left out of films. Enemy at the Gates is about the war between Russia and Germany. Enemy at the gates is very unusual in the way that it is a film from the USSR’s point of view. To get an idea of how unlikely that would have been 20 years ago, imagine a Hollywood epic about the heroic lads of Iraq or Cuba. ...Bringing a battery of special guests onto a project usually says one of two things about the band concerned. Either they are held in such high regard that everyone wants to be involved in what they are doing or else the band are short on confidence in their own abilities and are bringing everybody and their dog on board to bolster things up. Even the most cursory listen to "Enemy Of The Enemy" by Asian Dub Foundation will make you realise that this is an album on which the guests are there for the right reason because the album is every bit as impressive as "Community Music" and the Mercury Music Prize-nominated "Rafi's Revenge". ...This is hard to believe but Activision have actually put Wolfenstein Enemy Territory onto the wolfenstein official website free to download! all 250 odd MB of it! To download this game you have to type this into your internet explorer: http://games.activision.com/games/wolfenstein/ From there you click on the "enemy territory" tab and the downloads section comes up! Great stuff! Wolfenstein ET is basically a WW2 first person shooter, with two teams being the Neo Nazis vs the US allies. Each team has simliar arsenals of weaponry, making each side pretty equal. ...I have listened to many Rap albums full of controversial lyrics stories of gang banging, ho's and violence. Public Enemy indeed have controversial lyrics in this album but there not talking about woman, drugs or anything like that, they attack society. Public Enemy released 6 albums to my knowledge and with the exception of 'it takes a nation of millions to hold us back' nothin comes close to this. this album touches on everything - race, sexuality, entertainment, war, disease, religion, philosophy, politics. There main front man Chuck-D is such an underrated charector in the rap world. When people think of Rap music tey think of Dre and 2Pac but never public enemy. Advantages: Fantstic guitars , great vocals , everything fits together
Disadvantages: some songs are repetive , too long and out of place

...Here we have one of the most successful Swedish death metal bands, shown here on the verge of their mainstream metal breakthrough. Personally doomsday machine is my favourite arch enemy album, it gets the balance right between power and creativity and doesn't bore the listener. Some of the riffs on this album are fantastic and very original, the solos are very good, and the first time I heard the vocals I could not believe such a sound could come from a woman! Needless to say I was very impressed with this album, after listening to wages of sin, and anthems of rebellion, doomsday machine is quite clearly the peak of Arch Enemy's stand out sound.
