After reading many reviews and listening to many people the obvious argument of "Save the Pound...Because we've always had it" is a dull and stupid argument im going to look in to it a bit more economically and not judge the Euro by what i have heard! The Main Disadvantages of the Euro are - High Transition Costs - Businesses will have to change software, retail price tags everything must be changes, tills must be changed, this one-off cost will cost billions of pounds! The European Central Bank will set intrest rates and not the Bank of England. Advantages: The Euro actually gives everybody the advantage of one currency he can use all over Europe.You don´t need to exchange any money and pay for that for example.Travelling throughout Europe is made easier.
Disadvantages: The Euro was set in place before it was stable enough in the world market.There should have been more time to get used to the new currency before the old ones were taken away.The differences, especially in pricing, is now very clear.

...I am from Germany and I don´t know too much about politics and economic in britain but I think that is is very important that every country belonging to the EU should participate in important matters such as the Euro. But as so many things my oppinion on this has slightly changed. The change to another currency would not be an advantage for Britain at the moment. Of course there are good things and bad things. In Germany the money you had in Marks was only half the Amount in Euro (100 Marks= 50 Euro ). And the decision to change the currency was much more expensive then the state would have thought. I for example remember that only 2 years before the Euro came, Germany invested 20 Million German marks on new 5, 10, and 20 notes . What a waste.At that point I wouldn´t make the decision of having a complete new currency at all... Read review
