...*****The Feeling***** *****Twelve Stops and Home***** The Album to drift you into all the shades of Autumn I discovered this album about 2 weeks ago, and tonight I listened to it all the way through and found myself falling in love with it in quite an unexpected way. I'd heard Kettles' On, but never listened to the whole album, and tonight's hearing has got me wishing I'd listened to it sooner. ...The feeling have made quite a large impact on the music scene in 2006 having a few good hits in the charts. They also left quite an impression on yours truly who is slightly disappointed by the quality of music available today. It's nice to find an album which makes you feel good about life in general, but Twelve Stops and Home is such an album. It contains 12 tracks 4 of which have had good chart success so that is a good indication as to the standard of the tracks. I WANT YOU NOW This is quite an up tempo number and is quite catchy once you've heard it a few times. It is definitely not the strongest track on the album, but it is pleasant and gets the toes tapping. NEVER BE LONELY This track is just great, it is a slowish number to start with but with a very very nifty chorus it soon lifts you up even though... Read review

Advantages: Catchy tunes, upbeat summer album

...The Feeling are a British band well-known for their hit singles "Sewn" and "Fill My Little World". I first heard their music whilst browsing a friend's iPod - I came across "Fill My Little World Right Up" and couldn't get it out of my head all day. If you haven't even heard their singles yet, hurry up and get them! For those of you who have, and want to know whether The Feeling deserve an album purchase, you've come to the right place. Those of you who like your rock, soft rock and pop-rock, (which I will gladly admit to), The Feeling are right up your avenue. When listening to their songs you'll be reminded of some past greats, such as ELO and even Elton John, but the music is fresh for 2006 and works a treat on the old eardrums. Advantages: Great Lyrics, Great Music & Damn Its Catchy

...This album (Feeling Strangely Fine) was my introduction to Semisonic, a fine three piece from Minneapolis. Semisonic are Dan Wilson Vocals, Fender Rhodes, String Arrangements, Synthesizer, Guitar and Piano. John Munson with Vocals, Slide Guitar, Wah Wah Guitar, Bass and Guitar. Jacob (Jake) Sichter Arranger, Conductor, Drums, Vocals, Mellotron, Wurlitzer and Piano. I first heard the singles ‘Closing Time’ and ‘Secret Smile’ on the radio and just had to hear more. After buying the album it has certainly not disappointed. I can listen to it time and time again. Since then I have bought their entire collection. ‘Feeling Strangely Fine’ is the second of three albums released in 1999. Their first album in 1995 was ‘Great Divide’ and the third ‘Chemistry’ in 2001. I love all of their work and have seen them live at Wolverhampton Civic... Read review

Advantages: Boogie on Down

...Well, this list is going to be a real mixture of weirdness. the songs that make me feel good are ones that others tend to hate. So, rate me kindly. I am a woman and hormones really do influence my choices. Don MacLean-American Pie I don't know what it is about this song but it always gets me singing along. I associate it with the bus jopurney to nights out when I was a teenager. there would be about 50 of us singing this at the top of our voices. I hate the Madona version though. Dexys Midnight Runners-Come on Eileen Another song that makes you sing along, tap your feet and maybe even dance (after too many drinks!) Its got a great beat and is a catchy number. I love the way that no-one seems to know the words so all you get is "Come on Eileen...de de de de de de ..." And I do know the words, they go Come... Read review
