...Ray Kinsella is a farmer in Iowa, married to Annie and they have a child, Karin. One day, Ray is in the fields when he hears a voice: "Build it, and he will come." He becomes convinced that something great will happen and so ploughs one of his fields and turns it into a baseball pitch. Disadvantages: You pay for what you get

..., Winteringham Fields employs the top people in its profession. Chef and owner Germain Schwab has earned two Michelin stars. Only four other restaurants in the country hold this coveted honour. His head chef Robert Thompson was recently crowned Young Chef of the Year by the Craft Guild of Chefs. Winteringham Fields' reputation did daunt me before I first ate there five years ago. Pizza Express is more my thing. Would I feel comfortable among wine waiters, starched tablecloths and food from the Egon Ronay Guide's Kitchen of the Year? Advantages: A couple of big tunes

...The Georgian Hip Hop duo consisting of members Smoke and Shawn Jay released their second album as Field Mob in 2002. ?From Tha Roota to tha Toota? was the album released prior to their international breakthrough with tunes such as ?So What?, and ?Georgia? once they had signed to Ludacris Disturbing Tha Peace record label. The duo broke through in 2000 and concentrated much of the lyrics about how country they live, but here they are able to diversify into more straight-forward rap. 1. ?K.A.N? The original international track and field on the DS

Advantages: Loads of events to master, great graphics and great fun
Disadvantages: Some of the games are a bit hard to master, possibility of ruining the touch screen

...I remember playing International Track and Field back in 1999 on the original Sony Playstation. Playing this in single player mode was boring it was a game to be played with mates and we used to enjoy nothing more than going head to head across the wide range of athletics events available from the 100m sprint to the hammer throw. I remember the abuse the control pads took whilst playing this game. Frantic button bashing was required for every single event, with the 100m, 400m and swimming events giving the control pad the most abuse. Through trial and error we learnt that rather than bash the buttons separately if you put a scarf or old t-shirt over your knuckles and scrapped it across the buttons you could get your character to run faster of throw further. Advantages: Very powerful, intelligent and moving
Disadvantages: Small negative - the lack of extras.

...The Killing Fields was made in 1984 and is set during the withdrawal of American Troops and the escalation of violence by the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. It mainly focuses on the relationship between a journalist for the New York Times, Sydney Schanberg, and his Cambodian friend and colleague, Dith Pran. The true horror of the time is captured through a series of unpleasant episodes consisting of bombings and random executions. Shortly in to the film the Americans leave, Schanberg stays as long as he can to continue with his reports. Dith Pran manages to get his family out with the Americans. Fields of the Nephilim

Advantages: Best band the world had ever seen
Disadvantages: They split up!

...Quite simply, Fields of the Nephilim were in my opinion the best band in the world. Their music took me to places that almost no other music has been able to. So I feel priviliged to the first person on Ciao to review this fantastic band. Their style is not to everyone's taste and the vocal style is pretty unique (at least it was until various other bands sprung up trying to copy it), but I have found that their music just grows and grows on you. Fields of the Nephilim were a one-off; they lasted a relatively short amount of time but brought out three astounding albums. Formed in 1984, they brought out their debut EP "Burning the Fields" around that time and played a large number of gigs before landing a record deal and recording their first album, "Dawnrazor" in 1987. ...Silent Fields This book is a sickening book to read, but it is a book that I can thoroughly recommend, in any case. It is a long, comprehensive and detailed book by Roger Lovegrove detailing the long decline of the wildlife of Britain. I believed that the decline of wildlife in Britain was a result of the overuse of chemical fertilisers and chemical pesticides in Britain after the war. And whilst it is true that this has certainly exacerbated the situation, it was not the start of the decline, not by a long way. The book details the long and systematic destruction of the wildlife of Britain. Lovegrove has meticulously researched a diverse number of historical sources dating back to the Tudor times to the present day. Disadvantages: Nothing really original

...As popular as the first two were, there could never have been a third Bridget Jones book. After all, what else was there for her to do? She's caught her man, so perhaps marriage and kids, but it would have been difficult to make that funny. Think about it: "7.02 a.m. Changed baby's nappy. 7.05 a.m. Changed nappy again.
