...A couple of months ago I became aware of a new site on the web. A new site called Flame-n-Glow. It's run by Kim Perry (Ciao's very own Kymbo) who set the business up after she was in a car accident last year. And she's done a brilliant job! Basically, Flame-n-Glow sells candles. But candles is just the start, Kim's stock also incudes oil burners, incense, wind chimes and loads more. Flame-n-Glow is a web site based company which started out as a small Ebay Shop. Kim now has her own site and also offers a mail order service for people (like me!) who can't or don't like to order on-line. The other half is so pleased as now we have more room in the bathroom for all his rubbish! ...I've always wanted tanned legs so I can wear a mini skirt with confidence, but never had the nerve to get them out when it's sunny; their so white their reflective. I've tried a few fake tans but always found the result, well, a bit too 'footballers wives', so when several hundred companies produced moisturiser with a hint of self tan I thought I'd give it a go. I went to boots and picked out 'dove summer glow' for fair to normal skin. (Took a while to pick it, with all the different moisturisers promising to do the same thing, and all relatively in the same price bracket.) The body lotion comes in a 250ml bottle, I have no idea how long it will last as I'm not using it on my whole body. You use it just like a regular moisturiser, but just make sure your evenly covered otherwise it will streak. I always apply it after exfoliating... Read review

...This week, for me, has been The Body Shop week. I visited the store in town on Monday to buy a couple of my usual products and was pleasantly surprised to receive a free gift, (more about this later). The next day I received an invitation to a Body Shop party for Thursday at a friend's house. I can't resist these parties and the chance to try out all the goodies laid out on the table. The two or three free glasses of wine had nothing to do with it! The main theme for the party was the make-up range. We all watched while some poor volunteer received layer upon layer of product while we all had a giggle and tried out the goods on the back of our hands. Advantages: It is easy to use when applying it to area of the face you deisire.

...I have got to say that I am not a huge Avon Fragrances fan. I never did like that musky scent that my mother used to wear and I just couldn't bare to wear any of the other stinky perfumes from Avon that she used to give me at Christmas or on my Birthday. However, it would seem that Avon has done some serious work on improving their fragrances since then. The first fragrance from Avon that I tried out was Pur Blanca (only because a friend forced me to try it!) and I really liked that so I decided I would see what else I could find as Avon perfume is pretty cheap. Then I had a brilliant idea to look on eBay at some Avon products and discovered that there was this new fragrance that Avon has come out with and it was going pretty cheap on there at the time. ...I was soon to attend my friend's 21st Birthday party, for which I bought a gorgeous pale yellow silk dress. Unfortunately pale yellow and milky white skin are not very complimentary (some may disagree). Previously I had a fake tan phobia and would never touch the stuff. So I planned to go to the sun beds, which I am not a huge fan of for various reasons, but as I won't use fake tan I thought I had no other option. One evening one of my friends was round in my flat and I admired her tan, I asked her had she been on the sun beds and she replied no, I have been using boots holiday glow. I was surprised, as her tan look so natural and she didn't have a single streak! ...Unfortunatley I may seemed biased against this product because I wrote quite a poor review on J.Lo's previous perfume. However the fact that I purchased this item shows that I was willing to give the product a fair try. I first read about Miami Glow in a magazine and the description sounded very appealing to me. (As all things do when they are written about I suppose!) I needed a new perfume desperately and went to my local Boots to find Miami Glow thinking I could get a tester and try it for myself. When I found the stand I noticed that if you bought the perfume you got the most gorgeous heart necklace free. ...I bought Dove's Summer Glow Body Lotion 10 days ago, and I have applied it to my legs every second day. It is a 250ml container for £4.99 at Boots, and I decided to try it as a change from the Johnson's Holiday Sun, which I used all last Summer. The Dove has a nicer smell than the Johnson's, quite fresh, and the best thing about it, is that you don't need a lot of lotion to have a lovely golden glow after only two applications. So far I have used it mostly on my lower legs, to make my legs look less like plucked chicken skin! I think the result is natural, and not streaky. My husband noticed my skin felt soft too, which is a bonus, as the Johnson's wasn't such a good moisturiser. I chose the Fair to Darker tint, although my next purchase will be either this or the lighter one, because it is very effective, and I am fair skinned... Read review

...This glow enhancer which i purchased from the body shop is definately one of my best buys! It was a little bit on the expensive side, but the bottle lasted me a few months. Its a change from using my usual foundations, and it makes you feel that bit more confident because you know its there but no-one else does as its very natural looking and adds a healthy glow to your face. I'd highly recommend this product as its very easy to apply, a good buy (long lasting), and also very easily removed simply by using make-up wipes or baby wipes which work just as well and are almost half the price! A small blob of the glow enhancer (about the size of a 1 pence) in the middle of your hand should be just about enough then spread it evenly over your face and neck, this means you'll be streak free!
