Is King of the Hill Season 1 the King of Animated Comedy?

Advantages: Humorous addition to the animated comedy selection.
Disadvantages: Animation quality isn't too good.

...As a fan of animated comedy, when King of the Hill first hit our screens back in 1997, I was keen to see how it ranked against the other animations (though only The Simpsons really stood out back then). If you haven't seen the show before, it focuses round the everyday happenings of the Hill family (comprising of father Hank, mother Peggy and only son Bobby) in and around the town of Arlen, Texas. The Hill's are your typical hillbilly family, who have hearts in the right places, but don't exactly pride themselves on their appearances and behaviour. Hank is arguably the main character of the show, and he is regularly seen (even in the opening titles) standing in the street with a can of beer, along with his friends Boomhauer, Bill, and Dale. Advantages: Great show, beautiful people

There are so many other story lines here and there but that is the gist of season 1. The DVD box set comes with 6 discs are runs for approximately 944 minutes in total. There are various extras in the box set too including over 48 minutes of unaired footage. There is commentary by the cast and crew on the pilot, the Making of One Tree Hill, behind the scenes, diaries from the set and a gag reel. At the moment Amazon is selling the set for £15.88 which is a great bargain....

...The Hills is my guilty little pleasure. There's backstabbing, friendships, boyfriends, clubbing, making up, breaking up, in fact this programme has everything! The Hills is actually a spin-off television series from the very popular show, Laguna Beach. This show followed a bunch of high school students through their life in Laguna Beach, California, a very affluent, beautiful area right on the coast of Southern California. One of the main characters was Lauren Conrad, often referred to as LC. She, in my opinion is quite a pretty, nice mannered girl, if somewhat spoilt. She has the clothes, looks, long blond hair and drives a very nice convertible car. I do like her and I think she is quite entertaining. She often seems to have a rough ride where some of her friends are concerned but that is life, and more importantly that is life...

...A friend recommend this show to me, and I saw no reason not to start watching it so gave it a go one Monday night while I was sitting there finishing off my homework. It?s different to most other teen dramas, and it quite unique with its range of characters and themes. After watching the first episode, which was one of Season 4, I really liked it and continued watching the new series weekly ever since and then realised I would have to start catching up with the show, as when I had started watching it, there was already a full 3 and a half seasons shown and some of the storylines weren?t making much sense since I hadn?t seen the rest of the episodes. ...In an age when almost every TV series ever made is released on DVD the moment it finishes its run on mainstream television, it seems remarkable that it took twenty five years for the classic American police drama series Hill Street Blues to be afforded the same treatment, as least as far as the UK market is concerned. There truly is only one tree hill

Disadvantages: none!!! i love this series!!!!

...So many people assume that one tree hill is just another teen drama, the same old storylines and nothing special. i think however that one tree hill, although it is a teen drama, just has that something special. I found this much more relatable than other teen dramas, it looks at people living in an ordinary town, rather than people living in some upper class society, with endless money to burn(the OC is a prime example). The programme follows the lives of two estranged brothers Lucas Scott (Chad micheal murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty), as Lucas joins the school basketball team for the first time, and the lives of those closest to them. I thought that the actors were perfectly cast for the roles that they played. I thought especially that Chad Micheal Murray and Hilarie Burton who play Lucas Scott and Peyton Sawyer were...
