Boston Hilton

Advantages: Comfortable, clean, good location
Disadvantages: Prices during the week

We were looking for somewhere to stay on a trip to Boston and had decided that a guest house would be a happy medium. However, they weren?t that cheap and when I had a look on Expedia and found a Hilton for less money I couldn?t believe my luck! LOCATION: This Hilton is located in Boston?s Financial District. It is at 89 Broad Street. Despite it being in the Financial District we found it very easy to walk from the hotel to the main tourist sites of the city. Quincy Market and the Old State House were only 10 minutes walk away. PRICES: The price of this particular hotel seems to vary a lot depending on when you stay and who you book through. ...We booked the room online at www.Hilton.co.uk, Hilton guarantee that their best rates are available online. We booked a few months in advance and got a really good rate. Rates do change, at the moment double roms are £110 per night with guest room plus rooms £134. Because I boked well in advance i got a double plus room (gets a sea view, fluffy bath robes etc) for under £100. The Wbsite has info about the hotel including pictures of rooms etc The hotel is relatively modern with lots of car parking. When we checked in Reception was busy but was very efficient. All the public areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean On balance a hotel that I'm likely to stay at again. I stayed on a Sunday, arriving in time for Sunday lunch. The Restaurant, the Promenade, has a Carvery which was extremely good with starters of either soup or a help...

The HIlton Toronto

...Hilton Toronto Having recently returned from a great stay at the Hilton and Toronto thought that it was about time that I attempted to put pen to paper again on Ciao as been absent for quite a while! I opted for this hotel because I found a great deal of around £500 for 2 people for 7 nights at the beginning of September 2006. The room: The room was located on the 16th floor as was spacious with two comfortable double beds and nice, fresh linen. In addition there was a wardrobe that whilst note huge was provided adequate storage as well as the ever useful iron and ironing board. A large TV provided ample international TV and good 'pay per' movies; the usual Hollywood Blockbuster stuff. There was a well stocked mini bar at reasonable prices and a nice coffee machine with a good range of complimentary hot drinks...

Hilton, Maidstone - A Good Option

Advantages: Location, quality of staff
Disadvantages: Not close to town centre

...Reasons for choosing this hotel: We've stayed here before and the position is good for us when visiting friends and family, being just off the M20 Motorway at Junction 7, approximately 4 miles from Maidstone town centre. I could have used a cheaper hotel (there is an Innkeepers Lodge and a few Premier Travel Inns locally) but as a member of the Hilton loyalty scheme which allows you to "double dip" and not only earn Hilton points, but also points for your chosen Airline rewards programme at the same time, it is a good option for me, so I checked online on Boxing Day for a 1 night stay on 27th December.   Comfortable & relaxing stay for 5 star Hilton!

Advantages: comfortable, beach location, better value than newer 5 star hotels, good customer service.
Disadvantages: overshadowed by construction of taller buildings behind the Hilton - pool area is partly shaded

...A lot can happen in a space of a few years but never more so than in Dubai; it's currently a massive construction site but in the nicest sort of way! The last time I visited Dubai in 2002, I stayed at Oasis Beach Hotel in Jumeirah. At that time the Oasis Beach hotel was the last hotel on the beach strip apart from the Hilton Hotel; the surrounding land was just barren desert. However, after my present visit in 2006 I was surprised to see there were about 200 buildings being constructed behind the Hilton Hotel! If you've read this far and are thinking it's a big no, no you'll be surprised at how much the construction doesn't really bother you. As soon as you catch a glimpse of the white sandy beaches against the clear blue skies and hear the sound of the sea as the waves come in?you soon forget the construction, believe me you do...

We did not want to go overboard with our wedding, and were cutting back everywhere we could - within reason. I visited the websites for all the local hotels among other venues, and thought I may as well fill in the form on the Hilton website - never imagining that it would ever fir in with our budget - how wrong I was. I very nearly didn't fill in the form - I'm so glad I did. The Hiltons Reply? A few days after filling in the form I received a phone call from one of the events organisers at the Hilton, who was lovely, and went through the details on the form to check she had got it right - the form is American and is a bit confusing. The Hilton without a chihuauhua or a range of perfumes

Advantages: Good rail connections, good for the Excel or London City Airport, but not too remote for the city
Disadvantages: It's expensive but by London terms, you get a lot for your money.

...It's hard to go wrong with a Hilton. The chain seems to stand for a solid dependability that's very comforting and reassuring (except for Paris Hilton, she's a different matter entirely). But there's a different side to Hilton in the new Millenium; a funkier and more cutting edge design-led style that's quite unlike their 1980s and 1990s image. I've been staying in Hiltons for about 20 years and I rarely regret it but there's a clear difference between their 'revamped' older hotels and their made-to-measure newbies. When you find a Hilton where everything is as it was designed to be and not where they've modified something older and tried to 'funk it up' a bit you can really tell the difference. Gatwick Hilton

...Three weeks ago my husband and myself went to Austria on holiday. Now, normally, we would book our flight from Stanstead as it's just down the road, so to speak, but as this holiday was a present from one of our daughters and her husband, we accepted gratefully what she had arranged, which was a flight from Gatwick to Salzburg leaving at 6.05am. I didn't fancy spending all night travelling from Suffolk to Gatwick in time for the check in at 4.00am, so we decided to book a hotel close to the airport and travel down the night before. Well, I surfed the net and discovered the Gatwick Hilton for £139 for a double room. It sounded a lot but this also included 15 days parking, which would have cost around £70-80 on its own, and we didn't require breakfast that early in the morning. So, £139 for the room and parking seemed like a small price...
