...Hello and welcome to my review of Iron Man. Iron Man is probably one of Marvel's strongest and up until recently one of the least complicated characters. Originally created by Stan Lee and first seen in March 1963 in Marvels Tales Of Suspense #89, Lee wanted a create a character that emulated the recluse billionaire Howard Hughes. Lee collaborated with scriptwriter Larry Leiber, artist Don Heck and the legendary Jack Kirby and from this the hero of Iron Man was born in his famous yellow and red armour, and now for the first the character now appears in his very own movie. This is the first time ever that a live action film has been made of Iron Man as previous mediums have been animation or comics and graphic novels. ...Superhero films are probably my guiltiest of guilty pleasures. I enjoy them pretty much unconditionally because I'm a nerd. But unlike the kind of nerd who begins criticising a comic adaptation as soon as the first publicity shots show that the hero's costume has been 'updated' - you know, the sort of fan who writes unintentionally hilarious screeds about their childhoods being ruined by the shade of Superman's new cape - I never really read many comics as a child. So when I go and see a film like Iron Man, it's safe in the knowledge that I'm about to see a hugely silly film with lots of cool explosions and a terrific cast, and a vague attempt at a 'serious' subtext so that the director can look his parents in the eye unashamed over Christmas dinner. ...I first purchased this when i was watching an advert appear to show me that they were selling iron man so i decided to buy it. It was quite cheap At £4.50. this movie is about a man named Tony Stark who provides the world with weapons of destruction but whilst on a trip to show the us military things start to go terribly wrong when he gets ambushed by the taliban. He eventually escapes with the new iron man suite but makes a better one. A great movie with superb visuals to make you surprised at every scene and great acting by the cast especially Robert Downey Jr who plays a the brilliant role of Tony Stark. I always liked superhero movie because i think it was the fact that every time something great would happen graphically and visually but mainly it was because they could do stuff you only fantasied about and thats what Iron man...
