I will be honest at first it was a little hard to understand and get into it a bit like sixth sense but once you have you seen it twice you get the whole understanding of it and you will love it. Advantages: A beautiful story that is sure to make you cry.
Disadvantages: You'll need to buy a box of tissues before you watch!

Lovin' It Up At The Lake House!

Advantages: Romantic, great soundtrack, refreshingly different to other love story movies.
Disadvantages: Makes you think and it can be confusing at times.

The Lake House starts with 4 year old twins, Peter and Wendy, of Chinese descent, then came Max and his brother Matthew, and then Icarus and Ozymandias. These children are not "normal" as you'll find out. Frannie O Neill's life is bowled over when these 6 children blow in on the wind, quite literally.The children have been rescued from a school which created them, and Frannie has fallen in love with all of them. Advantages: Being invited to visit authentic local people
Disadvantages: Our visits could spoil the Lake for the local people in time

...to the main land and the ropes are weighed down with stones so that they are not cut by motors boats. On the larger islands there are schools, post offices and clinics for the island people. The children are collected by boat and taken to the school daily. On the smaller family islands they cook on a stone slab outside the houses and each family does their own cooking. I had high hopes for it as I was hoping that these two actors could recreate the magic and chemistry they had in the movie Speed but I just found this movie a bit slow and that it never reached its full potential. The plot was a good one. Sandra plays Dr Kate Forster, a somewhat of a loner who has had a few relationships but is afraid to fully give herself to one person. Keanu plays architect Alex Wyler. A Lodge on the Lake

...It took me at least a week to come to a semi conclusion of how I felt about Eden Lake; it took me a few days at least to get over the initial shock and emotion felt by watching it. A Lake with a myth - Lake Kournas, Crete

Advantages: Beautiful clear freshwater lake, need a car to get there
Disadvantages: expensive sun loungers and large slippery stones to negotiate before being able to swimg

...We drove from Gerani near Rethmynon to Lake Kournas in about 15 minutes, it is just off the main highway near Georgiopilis on Crete. The road meanders around and then you come to a tiny signpost pointing down between two house only just wide enough for a car to squeeze through. We turned in thinking that this must be a mistake, but it was indeed the road. No wonder all cars on Crete seem to have some scrape or other on their body work. I am pretty certain that having a car is the only way of reaching this sight. When we arrived there was plenty of parking under trees for shade just near a tavern. We did notice that as we were leaving at about 2pm that there were not so many spaces so going early was a good plan.
