Advantages: Its nice and small, with lovely pictures

...sturdy with nice thick pages which are easy for little fingers to turn themselves. Books don't usually last very long in my house with 2 kids at them but this one is really standing up to constant touching and pulling! There are 6 pages to this book. Not a lot but its enough for a 3 year old to concentrate on at one time! Because the pages are nice and thick, she can look at this book on her own (as she has been doing quite a lot since she got the book). The Contents ~~~~~~~~~~~ Each page has a brightly coloured picture of the "Birthday Princess" and a little sentence showing what she is doing. An example is the first page saying "Birthday Princess in her gown" with a picture of the princess in a dress. This is to encourage word association and it does it very well. ...We are all very big fans of the Little Princess in our house and my daughters love the TV series and all of the books as well. My youngest daughter was given a set of Little Princess books for her birthday and now they are all among her favourites. This latest one - Can I Keep It? - is no exception and also gives a little lesson in biology as well. All of the Little Princess books feature the same set of mad and quirky characters who live at the palace with our rather unconventional princess who is not beautiful (although she does have an appeal and you could argue that beauty is in the eye of the beholder!) and she is always getting into scrapes and messes! This lovely 31 page magazine is created by Egmont magazines uk, i had not heard of them before but if this is anything to go by they are great! The magazine is very well priced at £1.65 every two weeks and usualy has a lovely free gift such as jewlery and stickers, this week was stickers and the next issue is a ring in a shell box... Advantages: Heartbreakingly gorgeous film
Disadvantages: Heartbreakingly tearful

...away too much of the story, but it basically follows the life of a kind hearted child in boarding school, through the loss of her father and fortune, and many of her friends when she is driven to slavery. The story is inspirational, even for the young children that it targets. You may wonder the reason for the royal title, Sara believes that she is a princess and that all girls and women are princesses, also like many other children, her innocent mind believes in magic and her imagination stretches to all the amazing stories that she has heard in India. Sara uses her imagination to inspire all of the children in the boarding school, and I remember that even as a young child I too was inspired by a young girl with such imagination. But no matter how hard her life becomes, she remains generous and polite to those around her, rich and poor alike, pretending that she is a princess in order to keep her morals and spirits strong. Finally, just as even her fiery spirit is at breaking point, an English gentleman who has been living in India moves into the house next door and magical things start to happen as their interest in each other grows. There are no inserts that come with this and the case itself is quite flimsy. ...is so special about THIS particular Pony? Well, she is definitely made to be eye catching. Long flowing mane and locks replete with brushable hair and metallic threads, a shimmering body, a sceptre, shoes, a cloaklike dress, and a flashing star of a cutie mark all say "look at me! Aren't I just to DIE For? Add to that she is a Magical Pony, being a Unicorn with a glowing horn and all, and not just ANY Magical Pony, but a PRINCESS! OHHHHHHHHHHH! Adding to the excitement, she was a limited edition so only on offer for a short while and not having a long production run, so those who have induce envy about MLP fans who are have nots. Yes, I can actually confirm little girls (and some big ones apparently) compare Ponies and discuss their rarity and what not. It has to be said that I really like the illustrations and the little 'wanna-be princess', age 4 was full of enthusiasm when this was presented to her. This enthusiasm, however was short-lived. It was probably my fault that I hadn't really taken a good look through the book before buying it. I was in a hurry and read the title, thinking that it was appropriate for her age group and had flicked through the illustrations.
