My Local Police? What Police?

...I can?t do an overly detailed review of my local police force in Chester, Cheshire as I have never actually been involved with the police in anyway neither negative nor positive nor honestly hope to be in the near future. But judging from news reports I read in my local paper and things my friends tell me, I find that my local police force are doing a reasonably good job. ~ Now there are massive differences in what you think is a ?good? job and this depends on where you live and your local community and most importantly your attitude to your community, I just happen to live out of the way hence not in a housing estate nor a wealthy area so I don?t get any trouble thankfully, it also helps that I live in a small town where we get very little happening. ~ But from everything I have read my local police have found a small merchant...

Advantages: A different horror tale
Disadvantages: Too predictable (for me at least)

I hope that you can see whereabouts I am actually coming from, but I would just like to offer my own thoughts on this. In the current economic crisis, think that I can be safe in saying that people all over are in fact looking for bargains at an even greater level than before. Coupled with that, the utmost in customer service is still at the forfront of all of our minds - something that we cannot always get sadly. ...BRMB is based in Birmingham's Broad Street, probably the most famous and popular street for partying in Birmingham. They play funky up to date music throuout the day and every workday play a workplace anthem. The workplace anthem is nominated by workers listening during the day an the most popular will be mentioned and played for the relevant workers - just one way they interact with the listeners, which I think is quite good. The presenters are the sort of people that I can stand to listen to, unlike some of the other radio stations where they just get on my nerves! BRMB is a very birmingham friendly station, they will always play and support local sports, and even set up events in the area for local charity's such as "party in the park" which is always sold out and very popular. Well, after a few calls to an "bad attitude" customer service rep and after they had told me that the book that I really wanted would take another 10 days I decided to cancel the order and request that my credit card be refunded. I still needed the book! I called my local book store "Baytree Books" in Waterlooville - they ordered it and the next day it was ready to be picked up. So what did I gain? What did I loose? ...Local Heroes is an unlikely contender for the "grab you and keep you interested" accolade but that's exactly what it does. Professor Adam Hart-Davies is an even unlikelier presenter as he appears dressed in fluorescent pink and yellow clothing riding a bicycle, often with a two wheeled trailer. Which reminds me. Why does he and other cyclists that you see on the road, pedal furiously in low gear getting nowhere fast when it would be much more energy efficient to go up a gear or two and get somewhere quicker or with less effort?
