Old Maiden, New CD

Advantages: Sounds just like their old stuff
Disadvantages: None for me

...'anno on vocals, Clive Burr on Drums, Dennis Stratton on guitar, and the only two remaining members Steve Harris on Bass and Dave Murray on guitar. They were louder, faster and more punk then, but still good. Over the years Dennis was replaced with Adrian Smith, then Paul by Bruce Dickenson, then Clive by Nicko McBrian. And we had the line up that would last the longest. And the unmistakable Iron Maiden sound was born. After several brilliant albums, horror of horrors Bruce left and was replaced by Blaze Bailey, then Adrian vanished, to be replaced by Janick Gers. Without Bruce singing it just didn't sound right to me anymore and I kind of gave up on them for a little while. Then Bruce came back and Blaze vanished.... Hurray! And so did Adrian, but Janick stayed, meaning there were now 3 guitarist. How twiddly could they get :o) They play...

It's Iron Maiden rocking in RIO!

Advantages: Great music and terrific Special Features
Disadvantages: Not all my favourite songs but still brilliant

...Maiden golf bags and balls. Also learn a little about their influences, and how they got into playing their instruments they play. Go with Bruce as he fences with some of the men from the Brazilian Flemengo fencing team in Rio, also watch him as he goes into a flight simulating machine and practise some flying. Something that he can now do and is planning to fly the band as they tour sometime next year. Join Steve Harris as he goes to watch a Brazilian cup Final with Janick Gers. Also watch Steve play football against some other Brazilian players. Watch guitarist janick Gers wonder around the streets of Rio looking at the market stalls and talking with some Maiden fans.
