Advantages: Very very Unique, Stunning Prose, Breathtaking use of Language, Excellent Age Old heroic Fiction.
Disadvantages: Old style of language for those not familiar with it, the ending annoyed me considerably, dificult for non readers of the fantastical.

Advantages: Well writing, engaging plot and thoroughly enjoyable piece of sci-fi

...'SF Masterworks' is a growing collection of 'classic' science-fiction novels spanning over fifty years of the genre. As someone who's grown up reading and watching science-fiction I've found this a very interesting series that has introduced me to some wonderful (and, I have to be honest, not so wonderful) novels and authors that I would probably never have encountered otherwise. 'Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?' is the forth book of the series, (and coincidently the forth book I actually read as I'm not reading them in order). Written by Phillip K. Advantages: decent acting, decent directing
Disadvantages: doesn't quite beat the cliches that bog down the genre

...satisfying is predicable and not exactly envelope pushing. To be honest "Hostage" doesn't quite reach the modest hype that surrounded it, alledegely this is Bruce Willis's best film since "Die Hard". Paul Ross of 'News Of The World' compares it to that of: "his (Willis') 'Die Hard' masterworks". I of course disagree. First of all; I can't think of a single film that Paul Ross hasn't given good press to. Secondly; "Hostage" is not an action film… well not in the league of "Die Hard" anyway and whether or not the "Die Hard" trilogy can be considered as 'masterworks' is something I'll leave open for debate. Finally, I can name several Bruce Willis films made after "Die Hard" and before "Hostage" that are blatantly better: the aforementioned "Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable", "The Fifth Element", "Twelve Monkeys" and if you count them as Bruce Willis... ...’t changed after thousands of years of civilisation. Being a Stanley Kubrick film, we are indulged in his much loved and imitated directorial traits. His lingering shots, that would give Quentin Tarantino a run for his money will test the patience of many viewers, even the most hardened Kubrick fans (ie: myself) may struggle. His ghoulish tracking shots, floating from room to room, following a certain character don’t quite deliver the visual impact like in previous masterwork’s “The Shining” and “Full Metal Jacket” but are good nevertheless. They bring a subtle flare that remains concise throughout the film, emphasising Kubrick’s genius. Kubrick has the theatrical habit (whether it’s intentional or not is unknown) of splitting his work into acts: “Full Metal Jacket” is probably the best used example of such style. ...The charming idiosyncrasy of this book is easily demonstrated by the fact 'The Complete Enchanter' is known by a whole variety of names. On the cover, the title is given as 'The Compleat Enchanter: The Magical Misadventures of Harold Shea.' Due to its original form as a series of stories, mosly published in magazines in the 1940s, the names 'The Mathematics of Magic' and 'The Harold Shea Sequence' have also been attached to this material. Released in 2000 by the Millennium imprint of Victor Gollancz, this book is number 10 in a series of Fantasy Masterworks (a series of Science Fiction Masterworks was also released) and as far as I can tell is the only source of these stories in print.
