With characters such as Iggle Piggle, a loveable blue character who is never without his red blanket, and Makka Pakka with bike in tow and a horn that blows loudly to everyone, your child cannot help but be enthralled and caught up in the fun that is "In the Night Garden"

In The Night Garden...
Review of In The Night Garden... (A Musical Journey... The Album...) - Various Artists by
lawrawrxx
Advantages: great for children and fun
Disadvantages: gets monotoness after a few times of listening for adults
...In the Night Garden - a musical journey - the album. Is just what it is.
i haven't yet purchased this album but i will be in the near future. It cost £7.99 from Tesco, but I am sure it is available in other shops and definately from Amazon.
It is one cd on for 45 minutes made by BBC music. It is just like watching the tv programme but with no vision and is very handy for putting on in the car.
The cd starts with the opening theme, to then take a journey on the Ninky Nonk, meeting Igglepiggle, then Upsey Daisy, Tombiloos, Makka Pakka, Pontipines, Pinky Ponk, and the Haahoos. The Tittifers sing their tunes between every section. It has the full Night Garden Dance before going to In the Night Garden closing theme.
this CD will keep children occupied for hours and will teach your child to sing and dance with all the characters.
The only...

Softly into the Night Garden...
Review of In The Night Garden Soft Friends by
mummy2harry
Advantages: Soft, cuddly, sweet, toddlers will love them
Disadvantages: None
...Harry gets obsessed with things quite a bit, he's like his Daddy in that respect. His latest obsession has to be the new hit children's show on C-Beebies, In The Night Garden. They were THE must have toy for Christmas, but luckily Harry wasn't into it then, so I didn't have to Toys R Us at 1am to get a bloomin' Iggle Piggle. But he had a bit of Christmas money left over so we decided to get him these as an extra little present.
In The Night Garden, as I said, is the latest craze for toddlers all over the land. It consists of 5 main characters, Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka, the Tombliboos and the Pontipines, who all live in the garden. They sing, they dance, and have lots of fun, encouraging your children to sing along with them. However, I think the best thing about this show is that it is aimed at sleep-time - all...

A NEW IN THE NIGHT GARDEN DVD. ISN'T THAT A PIP?
Review of In The Night Garden - Hello Igglepiggle DVD by
cat1510
Advantages: Enchanting and charming tales for the young ones
Disadvantages: Will be watched over and over andover.....
...Well. As planned My son received the new "in the night garden" DVD entitled "Hello Igglepiggle" courtesy of Nana. To be quite honest, I was quite glad as with all children's dvd, they are played over and over again until we as parents hum the tunes or actually know the words that follow. This dvd still has all the charms of the previous dvd but with differrent stories(hooray).
All the main characters are back again but the main one seems to be Igglepiggle. A quick run through of some the new episodes.
Igglepiggle's blanket walks about itself:
The now famous red blanket is left but is seen in the garden walking around to the amazement of the regulars(and amusement of my son who sees it as a peek a boo finish) simply to find out the Makka Pakka is under it.
Jumping for everybody:
Its jumping time for Upsy Daisy and soon...

TUESDAY NIGHT- Student Night @ COVENT GARDEN
Review of The Gardening Club (London) by
Aggie_uk
Advantages: Fantastic little venue with a HUGE personality!
Disadvantages: Drinks can be pricey! (Therefore go during Happy hour!)
...OK, after accidentally taking tips from a review from 2 years ago... going to the club.. and finding out things were a little different... I thought I Should give an updated **2003** review!
Club Night: Every Tuesday- Student Night!
Entry Fees: Free before 8pm, £6 before 11pm, £15 thereafter.
Liscence til 3am!
HOW TO GET THERE:
Get out at 'Covent Garden' station (Picadilly Line) and turn left, heading towards the old market square. After about 50 or so metres you'll see a small venue door to your left with a small sigh saying "Gardening Club" above the door!
DOOR POLICY: This club is over 18 and ID may be required. However, from the looks of it they aren't that strict (especially before 11pm) as many of my friends looks quite young and none of us, neither guys or girls were asked for id. The dress code seems to be quite...

Gardening for dummies like me!
Review of Members Advice on Gardening by
fabfrog5
Advantages: Mary mary, quite contrary. How does your garden grow?
Disadvantages: With slime and snails and puppy dog tails!!
...?
So far the summer has brought me sunshine and the garden looks healthy. I haven't learned a lot as all the plants I have bought in pots are done for me.
# SEPTEMBER
Still my garden looks presentable and even though I still think the shrub things are horrid, they are bushy and healthy.
Late September there were gale force winds one night and I could hear several bangs, crashes and smashes. My greenhouse had blown over and the heavy pots were smashed all over the decking area. I journey down Wilkinson for replacement pots and transfer everything back into them. Having learned my greenhouse lesson, I moved it to a corner facing the sun area and tied it to the wooden fence.
Another tragic lesson I soon learned was to remove the umbrella from the table! Being as it's a weatherproof one I kept it open but the winds caught...

Savage Garden Taking Us To The Moon And Back!
Review of Savage Garden - Superstars And Cannonballs: Live On Tour In Australia DVD by
MizzMolko
Advantages: Some incredible, realistic live performances and enchanting extras
Disadvantages: There are cringe worthy moments to behold
...as powerful a moment follows in the first dedicated song of the night. 'You Can Still Be Free' was written about an incident involving an argument and gun attack that happened in Daniel's garden when he was younger. Darren's voice on this number is astounding; the way it ranges from dark and introspective to high and passionate is fine evidence that the band are at their best in a live setting.
The one issue that I have with these four piano solo tracks is the fact that they are not the full lengths of the songs; 'Santa Monica' only offers a verse and the chorus before venturing off into the next track so it comes across as needlessly rushed. Whether this was the case within the arena or it was just a product of cutting out some of the performance for the DVD release its anybodies guess but it's a real shame none the less as, from the little...
