...'Deadly Passions' is the second studio album from the Kentucky based rock band that is Hydrogyn. The band was formed in 2003 and as well as having released two studio albums the band has released a live album also. The band is fronted by Julie Westlake and it's therefore her vocal tone which hits you throughout this album; she has a great voice and puts an awful lot of power behind it in order to belt out the ten tracks of this album. The guitar riffs also possess great strength and although not hugely exciting; the instrumental side of things is still quite pleasant to listen to here. The album gets off to an explosive beginning with opening number 'Rejection', the track possesses a fast tempo and really kicks the album off with great power. The Passion of the Christ

Advantages: Good Acting,
Disadvantages: Quite Barbaric In Places

...The Passion of the Christ released in 2004 and directed by Mel Gibson is a film that I have only recently seen for the first time. At the time of its release I made a conscious decision to avoid watching this film due to the huge amount of hype that surrounded it. Having now watched this film I am left with a mixture of different thoughts and feelings. I am not a religious person and this is also another reason why I probably did not rush out to the Cinema on the release of this film. I also had even less interest in rushing out to see it when I discovered that not only were there no big name Hollywood Actors amongst the cast but that all of the dialogue was spoken in a mixture of Latin and Aramaic, with English subtitles displayed across the screen. Disadvantages: the story is set out in a strange way

...Strange Fits of Passion is the first book I have read by Anita Shreve, even though she is an author who has been around for quite a long time. When I first started reading this book I wasn't sure that I liked the style and I didn't think I was going to enjoy it! How wrong could I be? It is a fabulous book with a very strong story which I found both riveting and absorbing! Thr story is written in quite an unusual way and I think this did give me problems at the start. It begins in what is the present day, although as the book was written in 1992, that is actually quite a while ago. It begins with an autor talking about how she writes her books, and I wasn't sure if this was part of the story, or Anita Shreve giving some kind of introduction! It was part of the story and the author is meeting with a young girl who's mother she wrote...

The Flower Of Passion

Advantages: Stunning flowers, easy to look after, quick grower
Disadvantages: Can take over the garden if your not careful

...Recently I haven?t been using conditioner in many loads of washing as the fragrance from the washing liquid has been adequate but as I?d bought a different product I have been using my Conditioner again and the result has been worth the extra cost. My Conditioner is the concentrate variety and therefore it saves space as the 750ml bottle will last for 21 washes. The bottle can be recycled. The bottle is clear plastic with a purple lid, which reminds me of a hat as it has a rounded inside and a turn-up brim! The inside provides the measuring cup for the exact amount needed, depending on the amount of washing or if doing hand washing. The Beautiful Passion Flower

Advantages: easy to grow, beautful flowers and leaves
Disadvantages: slugs and snails like to munch on them!

Getting passionate with Charlie!

Advantages: smells lovely, cheap

After a particularly energetic game of volleyball, I used all my body spray up, so headed to Boots to replace it. Charlie is one of those brands that I used to use as a teenager, in fact, I think most girls will have had a bottle of Charlie perfume at some point, and apart from Impulse and Boots own brand, it was the only thing really on offer. Charlie Passion stood out to me straight away, as the vibrant gold and orange can wasn't a Charlie scent that I recognised. Small sample of the electro indie pop world of Passion Pit

Advantages: A brief look into Passion Pit's distinctive sound
Disadvantages: Only 6 songs, probably cheaper to download individually than buy the album

...Passion Pit are an indie electro band from the USA and were originally formed in 2007. The name of the band actually comes from when lead singer Michael Angelakos made some demo songs for his then girlfriend entitled 'Passion Pit' and in turn the songs made their way around the university campus and became reasonably popular with the residents! As the group performed those few songs, their popularity grew in Angelakos' home town of Buffalo which then spread to the rest of the bands home town of Boston. This EP was eventually released into the mainstream in September 2008 with the original 4 tracks being part of the valentines day gift the lead singer gave to his girlfriend plus 2 extra songs made by the band.
