*Not So Funny People!*

Advantages: Funny One Liners!
Disadvantages: Dragged on a bit too much , Plot

...Last night my friend and I went on yet another trip to the cinema! This time we went to see the film ' Funny People' at our local cinema. We arrived at the cinema ten minutes before the film , paid our £4.20 and went to choose a seat! We were the first ones in the cinema , so we had to choice of about sixty seats ; our local cinema is quite basic (it's nothing compared to the cineworld cinema we usually go to , but it is cheaper and usually a lot quieter). At one point we wondered if we would have our 'very own private screening' as the film started at 7:20pm and we were the only two in there ; however a few minutes later we were joined by five others! Funny People- Give it a go

Advantages: Light hearted.Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen
Disadvantages: Thin plot.out of focus story.too long

From the writing point of view,the basic plot is thin and the writers try hard to make lots of single scenes which don't contribute much to the story.The film is too long and the second half tend to drag on.The jokes are Adam sandler trademark and might not be suitable for kids.The film has its moments,mostly in the form of the scenes between Seth and Sandler.Its their friendship which makes the film work and certain scenes leave a strong impact on the viewer's mind. The inclusion of leukemia makes the film more meaningful as it makes the character wonder about the real achievements of life. Advantages: great comedy and a bit of horror

...with the house is the fact that the windows are all padlocked from the outside, as if to keep people from getting out, not in?.!!! Not only do they have to avoid the Robeson's, they also have to watch out as there are things living in the cellar and the walls. Wendy Holden: Beautiful People I bought this book from Sainsbury's a couple of weeks ago, it was two books for £7, which is good value as I bought this book whose RRP is £6.99, and Jane Green's The Beach House, which has the same RRP. Beautiful People is 695 pages long, with 58 chapters, so it's quite a long book and if your not used to reading books and if you don't have much time to read, then don't bother with this book, as it's double the size of a normal novel and if it takes you a long time to read a normal book, then you could find your forgetting what happened at the beginning of the book when your getting towards the end! It is good value for money though, even at full RRP price, it's a good price for a book of this size, and alot of books of this size would cost alot more than £7. It is paperback...

Tomorrows People, Today.

Advantages: Enjoyable Kids Sci-Fi

...The Tomorrow People - Series 2 I remembered the earlier shows, probably from 1973 when it first aired through to 1979 when it initially ended. Watching it again on DVD was very, very enjoyable and to be honest quite refreshing. It was at the time an imaginative program and held a 70's quaintness. Remembered nothing of the second incarnation of the show, 1992 - 1995 and again nothing of the third reinvented show from 2001 - 2007. You follow some rare talented humans as they 'Break out' and change from normal humans to the next stage in human evolution. They have abilities such as, telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation. Funny People- A great "Feel Good" film with an Amazing Acting Duo

Advantages: Funny, Entertaining, Good Story, Adam Sandler!
Disadvantages: Slightly long, Some jokes can offend

...seeing it, I couldn?t imagine any other 2 people better suited to work together to make such a serious concept into such an entertaining and funny film. The most exciting thing about this film had to be the large amount of appearances from other actors and celebrities as themselves like the scene in the bar, which featured not only Ray Romero (Everybody Loves Raymond), but also Marshal Mathers or better known as Eminem and both provoke a very funny scene. The story was quite good, although it?s not a unique concept, the way it is turned around into comedy was genius, but also preserves the serious moments quite well making this somewhat of a feel good film for me, as not only is it funny, but it does present quite a serious issue and how it was dealt with and what it concluded with. Enemy Of The People

Advantages: Easy to read
Disadvantages: Too much celebrity news, poorly written

...Think of the many things you can do with 60p, buy a King Size Mars Bar, buy enough petrol to travel about 5 or 6 miles, get a loaf of bread or buy the Sunday People. Of all these there is only one which is a waste of money and that is the People. I am not a fan of the excessive amount of celebrity news which appears in newspapers nowadays. The Sunday People though seems to be completely obsessed by it and much of it of such a minimal interest that I cannot believe that there is public interest in the items published.
