...I've been hearing about these Mars Planets for some time now but had until this week failed to try them, quite shocking really considering how much I enjoy my chocolate snacks especially of the Mars variety when my other half sent me off to locate a mars bar for him during our recent Asda trip I decided to treat myself too ad pick up a packet of Planets, they're lucky I chose them as they were sat right next to the Malteasers, they very nearly didn't make it. Mars Planets- Mars planets, naturally from the mars range, come in the same colour packing as it's cousin the Mars bar, distinctive in black with cream and red writing it is very eye catching, the main difference of course here is that the packaging is more similar in shape to another Mars product I mentioned earlier- Malteasers. Planet beautiful.

Advantages: Absolutely stunning programme
Disadvantages: you might have missed it (it's not too late though)

...As I am writing this, it says at the top of the page 'Write a review of Planet Earth'. That does sound a little ambitious, so instead I will review Planet Earth, the programme. Last night, I watched the first instalment in this new series, and it was one of the best things I have seen on television, ever. I am a faithful audience for nature programmes, in particular the major ones done by David Attenborough, and I have always found the quality to be exceptional. But this was in a league of its own. ...Planet Terror is a spoof movie in the guise of the zombie flesh eating horror flick. It is a kind of tribute by Director Robert Rodriguez to all his favourite B-movies. The story is told of a small town whose inhabitants become infected by an experimental bio-nerve gas after it is accidentally released at a remote US military base in Texas. Those exposed to it become flesh eating, mutating zombies like creatures. The infection is further passed on by those unfortunate enough to get a nasty zombie bite. For some reason, the zombies seem to prefer sucking the brains out of their victims first? mm lovely. There is plenty of gore, fountains of blood and dripping flesh. It's the kind of film that I usually avoid or switch off after the first five minutes, but as it had Tarantino's name on the DVD case, I thought I'd take a chance...

Advantages: Tim Burton's vision, great designs, special effects
Disadvantages: Not as exciting as it could be, although never dull

...it would be difficult to tell as we would constantly be comparing it to the original. Well, as usual, the answer is money. There is no artistic reason, no matter what the producers might argue. Franklin J. Schaffner and Charlton Heston did the job perfectly well the first time. But, Universal know that they have a hit commodity on their hands. Rather than risk millions of dollars developing a new script that might result in a movie that nobody wants to see, better to rehash an old idea that will have an expectant audience, interested to see it no matter what. ...As a child growing up I remember watching a film with Charlton Heston battling through a corn field being chased by Gorillas. Since then the film 'Planet of the Apes' has always had a special place in my film collection, as it was one of my late fathers favourite films. This special edition has lots of extras (which I will cover later). The boxset has been well designed and has each of the five films (1 film per disc) and a sixth disc containing the special features. Together with a program guide inside. The presentation box is very nice, folding outwards from the centre with a different picture on each disc, which is a scene from that film.
